All the eyes on Jia Li were proud of her, more especially, the 8 people that came to cheer her up.

The next announcement got everyone present, excited. An announcement was made for a small compet.i.tion that will be taken place in the next few minutes between the best graduating students.

This compet.i.tion was being held to select the overall best graduating student.

Jia Li was surprised with how fast things were going. She thought an award would be given to them and then they would be asked to leave. But who knew they were going to be asked to partic.i.p.ate in a contest.

After the announcement, the project works of the best graduating students were wheeled out in 5 mannequins.

There were gasps of shock and admiration from everyone when they saw the beautiful work of art, designed by the best graduating students.

Jia Li saw her jaw-dropping gown Fu Hua helped her to make and smiled to herself.

Later, the students were asked to go and stand beside their work.

There were different designs of dresses there but they were of different cla.s.ses because of the different majors in Jia Li's school.

Jia Li emerged as the best in her cla.s.s, so she could be said to be the best graduating student in her cla.s.s.

The eight people that had their eyes on Jia Li were more than happy for her than anyone else.

Jia Li's three friends, Li Huan and his mother, and then three other people had masks on their noses. Amongst them was a female. Her eyes were familiar and that was because it was Fu Meixu.

Next up, a panel of five judges was picked. 3 were picked from the Designers companies that were present while the other 3 were picked from amongst the school directors.

FJ Styles has picked Sunny, went to represent as a judge. Meanwhile, since Jia Li's dress came into the limelight, she had an attraction towards it. When Jia Li came to stand beside the mannequin with her dress on, her attention s.h.i.+fted to Jia Li.

She knew good things when she saw them with her eyes, so she had an interest in Jia Li because of the dress she made.

The school director that made the announcement pa.s.sed the judging criteria to the panel of judges before leaving the stage.

The panel of judges glanced at the judging criteria before starting.

The 6 judges went to take a look at the dresses of the best students. They went as far as touching the dresses and asking the students questions.

When Sunny came to Jia Li's side, she glanced at her and then looked at her dress.

"Did you design this dress?" She asked.

"Yes, Ma'am." Jia Li replied politely. She was still a bit nervous.

"It's beautiful." Sunny said as she managed a small smile.

Jia Li was surprised with the praise and hurriedly thanked her "Thank you!"

Sunny went on to ask her a few questions before going over to the last student.

When the other judges came to Jia Li's side, they couldn't take their eyes off her dress. They asked different questions as well before going off to the last student.

Jia Li's dress was attractive and looked like a walking piece of art. The Purple color was eye-catching, and her concept was exceptional.

It was difficult for anyone to take their eyes off her dress ????, but Jia Li was unaware of it.

After the judges returned to their seats, the students were asked to explain what inspired their concepts.

Jia Li's concept was given by her teacher, 'Design a dress with any vegetable or fruits of your choice and make a dress out of it.'

Jia Li didn't know the vegetable or fruit to use for her project, so when she walked into the kitchen store and saw the different vegetables there, the purple cabbage caught her eyes and she became inspired when she thought of what it would be like to make a dress out of the beautiful purple cabbage.

Jia Li told her short story and the others did as well. Some random questions about the dress they made such as the kind of st.i.tches they used for some parts in the dress and how they used the dye were asked.

The judges had an interest in Jia Li's dress because of how beautiful it was and they couldn't believe that a young girl like her could make a dress just like any skilled fas.h.i.+on designer/dressmaker.

She was asked about the dye she used and the kind of materials that were used for her dress. Few other random questions were asked and she answered all of them.

She could feel her back was sweating from all the questions that were thrown at her. She wondered if she did wrong with the dress she designed. She was praying in her mind for the unending questions to stop and her silent prayers were answered.

Sunny spoke on her behalf with an alluring tone, so the judges s.h.i.+fted their attention to the other students.

Jia Li could still feel the attention on her from the crowd and she felt like disappearing. She couldn't wait to get off the stage.

At last, when they were allowed to go back to seats, she didn't delay and immediately walked off the stage because the attention was too much.

Somewhere in the crowd, one gentleman in the crowd, had a proud smile on his face as he gazed at Jia Li.

An older man with a nose mask who was sitting on another role also had a proud smile on his face. He was proud of Jia Li. And the person was no other than, Grandfather Fu.

"I never knew Jia Li had such talents." Mrs. Li said to Li Huan in amazement. She was really surprised that the girl she had always known was gifted.

She couldn't believe that Jia Li was the person that designed the dress that managed to garner the attention of everyone in the auditorium.

"I am surprised as well. Her talents were well hidden." Li Huan said with his gaze on Jia Li.. He was proud of her but he couldn't really smile because she did not belong to him.
