”You are not coming with me this time around.”

”Why?” Lanying asked with a confused gaze. The other time, she let her come with her, so why was it different this time around?

Fu Juan gave her a good glance before asking, “Do I need any reason?”

Lanying was silenced by her question and could only apologize and watch as she left.

Clenching her fists by her sides, she turned to walk back to her room.

Outside the house, Fu Juan was surprised to see Butler Li waiting for her.

”Are you going somewhere?” She asked with raised brows.

”I’m coming with you, I need to pay a visit to your husband on Master’s behalf.” Butler Li replied.

Grandfather Fu knew that Fu Juan would want to visit the hospital, so he sent Butler Li to follow up on his behalf, and also to monitor her.

Fu Juan released a deep sigh before getting into her car. She wanted to see how Aiguo was doing and speak to him, but it looks like that won’t be happening, as she has got company.

By the time they got to the hospital, Aiguo had fallen asleep again, hence they had to wait and kill time by going to the doctor’s office to confirm some important info from him.

Aiguo would be needing therapy to move his leg muscles again. His left arm was dislocated, and some torn tendons were worked on during the surgery, but it will take a while more before he can use it.

His right hand was perfectly alright, which meant that he could still sign the divorce papers, much to Fu Juan’s anguish.

Thirty minutes later, Aiguo awoke again, and the nurse taking care of him called the doctor’s office to announce it.

Butler Li, Fu Juan, and the doctor had to make a trip down to the VIP room.

All that was going through Aiguo’s head, were the flashes of the accident scene, and nothing more. When he finally managed to divert his attention, he asked the nurse who was the first person he saw when he opened his eyes for the first time, of the current date, and how long he has been hospitalized.

The nurse replied to him, but before he could say something about his second family, he slipped into unconsciousness again.

Now that he had woken up for the second time, he could ask the same question again, which surprised the nurse.

No outsider knew he had a second family so this came as a surprise to the nurse who looked dumbfounded.

This was the scent the trio saw when they stepped into the VIP room.

”Mr. Aiguo, you just woke up, you need to take it easy not to be so agitated.” The doctor said as he rushed to his side.

Aiguo wasn’t going to listen and was insistent on making his demands, which angered Fu Juan, whom he had not seen yet.

”You just woke up, and the first thing on your mind is to embarra.s.s me and my family?”

Aiguo heard her voice and s.h.i.+fted his gaze slowly towards her.

”You are here?” He asked in a hoa.r.s.e voice.

”If I’m not here, what other worse thing would you have done? You are asking for the second family which is a big evidence of your adultery, not minding what will happen if the press manages to get a hold of this news. Are you purposely trying to disrespect my father and my Fu family?”

Fu Juan was so angry that she didn’t bother to hide her emotions. In fact, there was nothing to hide when he was being like that in the presence of the nurse and doctor. He asked for it.

Butler Li stood by the side and watched the drama going on, it was not yet his time to intervene.

Aiguo paused to catch a deep breath before saying, “I haven’t seen my family for weeks now, and from what I understand, you didn’t let them come to visit me, not even once, so I want to see them now.”

Fu Juan scoffed, “They are not going to step foot into this hospital to see you. If you miss them so much, wait till you are discharged. Don’t pave the way to shame my family!”

”My phone should be with you, right? Give it to me, let me call my wife and speak to my children!” Aiguo said to her with reddened eyes.

He was equally angry, but he couldn’t show it that much because he was still very weak, and bedridden.

”If that woman you cheated on me with, is your wife, then who am I? Must you go this far with shamelessness?” Fu Juan roared.

The doctor and the nurse who was silently checking on Aiguo and monitoring his blood pressure s.h.i.+fted to another side.

They didn’t know there was such a big story in their family.

”We will be getting a divorce very soon, and even before then, I no longer see you as my wife,” Aiguo replied.

He didn’t know she would go this far to separate his family from him when he was powerless. How evil she was.

Before Fu Juan could lash out angrily, Butler Li stepped in, which surprised Aiguo.

”Mr. Aiguo, Major General Fu would like you to rest properly for 2 days before signing the divorce papers. A lawyer will get in touch with you tomorrow, to read out the agreement before you can sign them.”

”We don’t have to wait till after FJ’s fas.h.i.+on show?” Aiguo asked in surprise, but with an expectant gaze.

If this was true, then he wouldn’t have to do what he had in mind earlier to a particular someone.

”There is no need to waste time,” Butler Li confirmed before turning to Fu Juan.

”Master knows you have his phone, and asked you to release it to him. He can speak with his family, but they shouldn’t visit him until the divorce papers have been signed, and only then can Mr. Aiguo be left in their care.”
