"That was a really nice dinner," Clara commented after she and Edgar walked hand in hand toward the guest chamber that they would occupy together until their wedding day. She added, "I really like your family. They are funny and warm."

Edgar smiled and heaved a sigh of relief. It went well, he thought. Even though he was embarra.s.sed by his mother's blatant request for grandbabies, but he was glad Clara could take everything in stride. She was truly the best woman ever!

His love for her became deeper and deeper.

"And they adore you," he said. His eyes were filled with a playful glint. "Especially after you told them we will work hard to give them babies... Ahem."

Clara chuckled and then started laughing sheepishly at the mention of babies again. She covered her mouth with the back of her hand when she laughed. "Ahahaha... I was just telling the truth."

She looked at Edgar with a shy smile, and for a moment, the man was enamored that he couldn't say anything. He halted his steps right in front of their chamber.

"So.. you were serious?" He asked her in an amused look. "Do you want to have babies right away?"

Clara nodded. "Yes, why not? I love babies. They are so cute! I want to have one that looks like you. He will be so adorable."

Edgar swallowed. He didn't know why but when she mentioned how she loved babies and she wanted to have one that looked like him, he thought it was hot as h.e.l.l.

Really, really hot!

Suddenly, he felt his throat parched.

Edgar swooped Clara up her feet and planted a deep and pa.s.sionate kiss on her lips, with his one hand supporting her back and the other rubbing her hair lovingly.

"Aahh...." His breath started panting, and he kissed her more ferociously. Her mouth tasted like wine. It brought back the nice feeling that made him a little high from dinner earlier.

Edgar slid his tongue between the small opening between Clara's lips and started ravaging her mouth. He was so turned on and his hand slowly snaked under her dress and caressed her thighs while he continued devouring her lips and tongue.

"Ahh..." Clara's moan sent the man's desire through the roof. Suddenly, Edgar was stunned.

Gosh... why was he so weak? He already said he wouldn't be doing anything to her. He would stay in this chamber with Clara because he wanted to keep her warm during the cold nights, not to consummate their relations.h.i.+p. At least not right away.

She just arrived here after such a long journey. She deserved to get her rest. And their wedding was three months away. Surely they could wait, right? It was not even that long.

And what's more important was... if they did it and she got pregnant right away, how could she fit into her wedding dress? She would hate herself for not looking her best on the wedding day.

Those were some of his considerations that became his guidance in not trying to do anything lewd to Clara while they stayed in the same chamber before their wedding.

Gosh... Edgar was so embarra.s.sed with himself. So, he abruptly ended their kiss.

The man reluctantly pulled away and he looked at Clara with a longing gaze. Edgar then cleared his throat. "Let's... get inside and sleep. We've had such a long day and you need to rest."

Clara was stunned in her place with batted eyes. She was enjoying their kiss earlier and was about to return the favor when Edgar suddenly pulled back. It made her feel confused and embarra.s.sed.

Did she do something wrong? Why did he stop? Was her kissing so bad? She was embarra.s.sed if that was the case, but Edgar was her first kiss. How could she get better at it if they didn't practice more?

"O-okay..." Clara replied with a weak voice. She was a woman and it was embarra.s.sing to demand the man to kiss her again. So, she looked away and hid her disappointed expression.

Both turned to the door and focused their eyes on it, while Edgar opened the door for Clara and waited until she stepped inside. Then, he closed the door behind them and walked in, following her.

"You are right... We've had such a long day," Clara commented with a low voice. Once they were inside the chamber, she was happy to see the windows and curtains were all closed and the servants had lighted some candles in several places.

"Yes, now, it's time to rest. We can do the castle tour tomorrow and my mother would love to start planning for the wedding," Edgar said. "We will have so much to do tomorrow."

"Sounds good," Clara nodded. She didn't look at the man while talking. She still felt shy, thinking about their kiss that ended so suddenly. She cleared her throat. "Uhm... which side do you want to take?"

"Huh?" Edgar looked at her.

Clara pointed at the bed. "I mean which side of the bed do you want?"

Edgar swallowed again. He didn't know if he could hold back if he had to sleep on the same bed with Clara after what happened earlier.

He was still aroused from the kiss. Prove was, his pants tightened as his manhood engorged from his arousal. It was so uncomfortable.

If he were to hug Clara to sleep, she would feel something hard poking her behind. It would be awkward. Ahem.

Edgar let out a nervous laugh and said, "Ah, don't worry about it. I will just take the couch."

Suddenly he thought staying here with her was a mistake. Why did he think too highly of his self-preservation? Just because he was not Gewen, it didn't mean he was a saint either. He was a young man with healthy s.e.xual needs.

Jeez... this was only the first night. The first of three long months, before the wedding.
