Chapter 76: Digging Her Own Grave
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
In the afternoon, the skies suddenly turned gloomy and it seemed like it was going to rain.
Resting her chin in her hands, Luo Zheng sat by the window and looked out, slowly getting distracted.
She had especially noted down the schedule of the art lessons in Capital University and hence, she knew that there was an art cla.s.s going on at this time.
Just like she had expected, Bo Hancheng was in the cla.s.sroom.
She initially thought about skipping this cla.s.s to go see Mr. Bodyguard.
However, when she was reminded of the fact that she could not sit in for major lessons and would have to wait outside the cla.s.sroom instead, she decided to drop the idea.
Of course, that was not the main point. The main reason was because Bo Hancheng was often cold and aloof towards her, thus making it hard for her to get close to him.
Luo Zheng, don’t be discouraged. Brother Cheng is not an ordinary man who can be befriended so easily. He’s the most, most… the most special man in the world!
Luo Zheng encouraged herself in her heart and decided to rush straight to Capital University after school ended.
“Dong… ”
While Luo Zheng was feeling distracted, she felt a sudden strike against her forehead.
She looked down to see that it was a piece of chalk that had hit her.
Her heart sank and she conscientiously raised her head, only to be greeted with the sullen expression of her math teacher. “Luo Zheng, if you don’t want to pay attention, get out of the cla.s.sroom!”
Among all the teachers, the strictest were the math teachers, most of whom were bespectacled middle-aged women in their thirties and forties that dressed in old-fas.h.i.+oned clothes.
Therefore, most of the students nicknamed the math teachers the “Terminators”… Compared to the cla.s.s headmistress, Luo Zheng had a neutral att.i.tude towards the math teachers whom she neither liked nor disliked.
“Teacher, I’ve been listening.”
Luo Zheng stood up and answered truthfully.
In the first half of the lesson, she had really been listening, but she could not help but get distracted during the second half because she knew how to answer all the questions.
“In that case, please come forth to write the solution to the question that I have just explained…”
She clearly did not believe Luo Zheng and was deliberately trying to put her on the spot.
The question that she was referring to was a critical question which was tough to answer even after hearing the explanation!
At this moment, many students in the cla.s.s laughed and looked at Luo Zheng, though they felt a little sympathetic towards her… Anyone could tell that the math teacher intended to make an example out of Luo Zheng.
However, Luo Zheng did not hesitate and walked up to the chalkboard where she picked up the chalk, glanced at the question and began writing the solution. Her handwriting was neat and beautiful.
At the beginning, the math teacher looked at Luo Zheng with contempt, knowing that her grades were too horrible for her to be able to solve the question… However, she gradually realized that Luo Zheng could write out the solution in one go with a perfect problem-solving process.
At the end, her face was burning hot. She initially wanted to teach Luo Zheng a lesson… Yet, she ended up digging her own grave and embarra.s.sing herself!
“Teacher, I’ve already written the solution. May I go back now?”
Luo Zheng asked calmly.
The math teacher could barely suppress her emotions. Pretending to be alright, she exclaimed, “Go on! In the future, continue to listen attentively so that we can make greater progress… ”
Luo Zheng nodded earnestly and returned to her seat.
Soon, the students looked at Luo Zheng again, though they obviously saw her in a different light now.
They were perplexed, shocked and dumbfounded.
Luo Zheng could not be bothered about what they thought. She turned to look out of the window again, only to see that the rain was getting heavier.
School was about to end soon. Luo Zheng frowned.
If it rains, should I still go to Capital University?
While thinking, she suddenly thought of something and her eyes lit up.
A rainy day? This is an opportunity!
Taking a stroll in the rain with Mr. Bodyguard is definitely going to be romantic. It’s going to help with scoring brownie points too.
Just as she was deep in thought, the sounds of the bell rang.
The only quality of the math teacher was that she would never drag her lessons on and make them stay behind!
Luo Zheng packed up and stood up to leave.
Pak~
A heavy book of notes landed in front of her.
Slightly stunned, Luo Zheng looked up to meet a pair of eyes. She said in a hoa.r.s.e voice, “Luo Zheng, these are some notes that I have compiled. You may borrow them for your revision! Remember to return them to me after the exams… ”
