Chapter 2199 Interrupted trachea rupture during surgery
“Men, help!” The anesthetist opened the door of the operating theater and shouted loudly.
Zheng Ren did not hesitate to turn around and run straight to the ninth hand.
“Yiren, look after Lin Yuan.” He was in a hurry and only had time to leave a sentence.
Su Yun could not be bothered with beating up a drowning dog and ran over with Zheng Ren.
Old he was pulling the Gurney halfway when he saw boss Zheng and Brother Yun run away. He knew that something had happened, so he immediately let go of the Gurney and ran after them.
Fang Lin had just pulled the patient out when he heard the fl.u.s.tered beeping of all sorts of instruments in 9’s hand. He wanted to take a look too.
“Take the patient and leave!” Su Yun glared at Fang Lin and joined in the ninth round with Zheng Ren.
The patient was under local anesthesia, and he had to walk back after the surgery. If an accident were to happen during the surgery, there would be too many unpredictable risks.
Zheng Ren strode in and looked up to observe the ECG monitor.
The heart rate on the ECG monitor was ventricular fibrillation. In less than three seconds, the heart rate had dropped from 50 beats per minute to 35.
“Lay them flat.” Zheng Ren said in a deep voice.
The anesthetist held the tracheal tube, and a few people worked together to lay the patient flat. At this moment, his heart had stopped.
Su Yun immediately started performing external chest compressions.
“1mg of epinephrine and 0.5mg of atropine for an intravenous injection.” Zheng Ren squinted his eyes as he looked at the patient and gave orders.
He didn’t care who was standing on the operating table.
Professor Zhu was also stunned by the situation in front of him. A patient with a stomach cancer surgery had stopped breathing during the operation. What was going on?
Zheng Ren pulled the sterile sheet down, and the subcutaneous balloon was clearly visible on the patient’s neck.
After comparing it with the system panel, Zheng Ren had an idea.
“Jiaqiang Dragon, 40mg, intravenous injection!” Zheng Ren continued to give orders.
During an emergency treatment, as long as there was one person who was full of confidence to direct the rescue, under normal circ.u.mstances, the others would not question him.
“Ice hat.”
“Adrenaline!”
“Pump in 8 μ g of dopamine.”
“Inject a syringe of dopamine first.”
“Old he, check the ventilator’s pipe.”
“Atropine, 0.5mg.”
As the doctor’s orders were given, the entire operating theater was no longer fl.u.s.tered and busy. Everyone started to move.
Professor Zhu and his a.s.sistant crossed their arms in front of their chests and were dumbfounded. This resuscitation was way too skilled.
The patient had subcutaneous edema. It was possible that there was a problem with the ventilator duct. It was even more likely that the windpipe had been torn during the surgery.
He broke his trachea and didn’t even notice …
“Anesthetist, manual operation.” Zheng Ren continued.
Three minutes later, the patient’s breathing and circulation were stable, but the PO2 continued to fluctuate between 74% and 82%. PETCO2 undulations appeared intermittently, and there was a leak in the manual breathing system.
“Boss Zheng, there’s no problem with the pipeline.” Old he reported after checking the pipeline as fast as he could.
“Surgeon, inject 1000 ml of saline into the patient’s chest!” Zheng Ren did not know professor Zhu, who was performing the surgery today, so he directly called him “surgeon”.
The circulating nurse immediately opened the bottle of saline, and professor Zhu was stunned.
The person who had barged in was boss Zheng, so professor Zhu didn’t dare to say a word. He knew very well that he only had more experience and was older than boss Zheng. When it came to surgery, not to mention that he was already old, even if he was at his peak when he was young, he would not be able to catch up with boss Zheng.
Professor Zhu’s heart was filled with all kinds of emotions. He couldn’t describe the feeling.
However, he made a logical judgment and knew what boss Zheng was going to do. He took the syringe and injected saline through the poke.
Since the patient had changed from a side-lying position to a flat-lying position, there was definitely not much water. Professor Zhu estimated the amount of saline that was injected into his chest, and he felt that it was going to burst.
“Hold the tracheal tube, and move higher.” As professor Zhu’s thoughts ran wild, Zheng Ren’s voice was heard.
“Boss, the heart rate has stabilized for now.” Su Yun said,”let’s hurry up. It’s impossible for the ventilation to be so low for a long time.”
“Brush your hands.”
Zheng Ren walked over to wash his hands. He was very fast, and one could tell that he was anxious.
After professor Zhu injected 1000ml of saline, Zheng Ren and Su Yun had already returned.
“Boss, put on your clothes. I’ll erase it again.”
Uh … This … Professor Zhu was stunned.
This was s.n.a.t.c.hing his position as the chief surgeon! He felt ashamed and especially angry.
However, it was useless to be angry. There was already a mistake in the operation. Boss Zheng was here to put out the fire, not to humiliate him.
Professor Zhu was very clear about this.
No matter how bitter the medicine was, it had to be swallowed. It was his own fault for causing the problem in the surgery!
Zheng Ren changed his clothes and stood beside professor Zhu. He took the laparoscope and said,”hand-controlled breathing, now.”
The anesthetist carefully pinched the rubber ball and controlled his breathing.
The lens found the position of the trachea in the water. Zheng Ren looked at the screen. Soon, a 0.5-centimeter rupture appeared about 4 cm above the windpipe protrusion.
As the anesthetist pinched the rubber ball, bubbles started to pop out from the rupture.
“Old he, the tracheal intubation can be placed deeper.” Zheng Ren said.
Old he nodded. He cooperated with the anesthetist in this surgery. He controlled the patient’s breathing with his hand while he lowered the tracheal tube.
He fixed the tracheal tube again over the broken part.
“Needle, thread.”
Su Yun stood beside Zheng Ren, pus.h.i.+ng professor Zhu and his a.s.sistant out of the room.
Professor Zhu was depressed.
However, they could not argue on the operating table, right? the patient’s heart had just stopped beating, and it would not look good if they argued again.
Professor Zhu stood behind Zheng Ren and watched. After only ten seconds, he realized that boss Zheng’s surgery was really well done.
The windpipe rupture was quickly sutured. Zheng Ren took a look at the electrocardiogram. Youyou’s blood pressure was 125/94 mmHg, heart rate was 67 beats per minute, and blood oxygen saturation was 98% to 100%.
“Alright, that’s it.” Zheng Ren took a closer look at the tumor and finally understood what the problem was with professor Zhu’s surgery.
There shouldn’t be any more problems, so Zheng Ren turned around and got off the stage.
Su Yun paused for a moment, sighed, and turned around.
“Boss Zheng, everything’s fine now?” Old he asked.
“Yes.” Zheng Ren suddenly realized that Su Yun seemed to have sighed.
Thoracic Surgery …
“Let’s find an opportunity to perform chest surgery. ” Zheng Ren said in a low voice.
“I’m fine. ” “It’s just a thoracoabdominal laparoscopy for patients with esophageal cancer. There’s not much to do,”Su Yun said listlessly.
Su Yun also knew that the boss was worried about Lin Yuan and was not in the mood to perform an ordinary stomach cancer surgery.
The two of them walked out of the operation room as they spoke.
“Boss … Boss Zheng, thank you.” Professor Zhu said.
“Oh, you’re welcome,” Zheng Ren turned back and smiled, then left.
“Eh? Where’s Lin Yuan?” Su Yun saw that Lin Yuan had already disappeared from the end of the corridor and asked in surprise.
“He should have recovered.” Zheng Ren said.
“What happened to her just now?” Old he asked.
“Hydrogen sulfide poisoning.” Zheng Ren said,”after being stimulated by hydrogen sulfide for a long time, the sense of smell might not be as sharp, which is why this situation occurred.”
