Chapter 258: Another Monster
(This chapters isn't edited yet)
Four imps had died in a single attack, besides the Boss, there was only one other monster that could kill those imps in such a devastating way, and that monster was exactly who Noah was facing right now.
A big red ogre, holding a two-handed ax, would swing it and cut down all the opponents that were around. The monster apparently had a low intellect, as he often couldn't even tell allies from enemies.
In the attack he killed 4 imps, for example, after killing the 4 imps his ax kept spinning and cut two knights as if they were tofu, and even though they were apparently on the same side, the ogre didn't even look at the corpses of the knights who died for his attack.
"Did you even bring such a monster into battle? Perhaps my slaughter of your monsters in the forest scared you more than I thought?" Noah said sarcastically to the chief who wore the dragon armor.
Noah said this not because he liked to make fun of his opponents, but rather because Noah saw a better opportunity than he had previously imagined.
Initially he thought he would need the [Devil Form] skill to be able to scare the boss, but apparently he had already done that while killing dozens of soldiers like it was nothing on the way to the castle.
Even more so that the Boss had ordered the other monsters to come fully to the throne room, probably because he was afraid Noah would kill him despite the difference in strength.
If that were true, not only could Noah scare this cowardly Boss even more, the [Devil Form] skill 'Fear' would be even more effective than Noah had imagined.
With a smile on his face, Noah decided to make a move to deal with these Boss.
Using the mana provided by the burning Banshees, Noah continued to summon the imps who had died and order them all to rally around the ogre. This would make it easier for the ogre to kill the imps, but it would also make the knights have to stay close to the ogre to kill the imps, which would make the ogre kill the knights while killing the imps.
For Noah, killing 2 or 4 knights at the cost of having to revive 8 imps every time was definitely a price he could pay.
And in the meantime, Noah didn't even worry about Boss. Since the Banshees were supplying him with mana, Noah started to prepare one of his favorite abilities.
*Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf, Bamf*
Noah's teleport speed was much higher than the Boss' speed, after all, even though the monster had possibly 100 Agility points, it still wasn't enough to move from point X to point Y in an instant like [h.e.l.l Tunneling] of Noah did.
With each teleport from Noah, a small fireball stayed where it appeared, before it exploded and appeared elsewhere, leaving another fireball floating the same size as the previous one.
Previously Noah only left a small spark, but as he had several much more powerful mana sources than before (Several Rank C banshees), he could afford to produce more fire by performing one of his favorite techniques.
[Ode to Joy] was starting to take shape in this throne room, but this time with much happier flames.
The imps kept dying and reviving continuously, causing the ogre to swing the ax angrily, leaving him very frustrated to keep killing these little 'annoying ants' and they never stopped coming.
If it was a monster with more intelligence, he could probably see that these imps were always the same 8 imps the monster killed every time, but the red ogres weren't recognized because of their intelligence, the only thing they normally thought was in hitting and killing.
The Boss was more frustrated than Noah realized. Underneath that dragon armor, there was a monster that looked very human. The only difference between him and humans was skin as white as snow and small fangs longer than the average human.
That monster was a vampire.
Vampires were known among monsters as the most agile monsters, it was common knowledge that even the weakest vampires had the equivalent of 70 points in agility, while the more powerful vampires had such high agility that weaker Rank B humans couldn't even see they.
As these Boss had 100 points in agility, he wasn't like the weaker vampires, but he was also a far cry from the more powerful vampires, being only in the middle of the bottom row of vampires.
But the biggest advantage of vampires was not just that agility they had, but the power those fangs gave them.
With a sly smile beneath his dragon armor, the vampire deftly ran to the ogre, dodging the fireb.a.l.l.s Noah was leaving in his path, and with a light touch to the side of the helmet, the mouth part of the armor automatically retracted.
Without the ogre being able to understand what was happening, a pair of white fangs bit into his neck and quickly drained his blood.
Initially the ogre tried to fight back, but in less than 10 seconds all of the ogre's blood was drained and he was standing still like a dummy with no batteries.
Noah hadn't stopped teleporting, but that doesn't mean he didn't see what was going on, unfortunately he didn't have enough time to know the Boss was a vampire, let alone prevent the Boss from biting the ogre.
Suddenly, the ogre lifted his head and ignored the imps, running frantically towards Noah. The ogre's speed rose to alarming levels. It wasn't as fast as the vampire, but it was still much faster than Noah, had probably hit 60 points in agility.
With no more time to prepare, Noah stopped teleporting and ordered all the fireb.a.l.l.s to fly towards the ogre, but in the unicorn's vision, something was wrong.
He saw Noah set the ogre on fire and make his body practically become a torch, but unlike the other monsters that when they were hit by the fireb.a.l.l.s, started screaming and despairing, the ogre simply ignored his own burning body and kept running towards Noah.
With each pa.s.sing second, the ogre's ax came closer and closer to Noah.
