The group of five returned to the abandoned church after cleaning up the mess made at the cafe. Hua Heiyu as an offender who had tried to escape was brought back with his hands once again handcuffed and was directly under strict observation of Officer Ying Wu.

Hua Heiyu was ignoring Prosecutor Ye who has seated on the same wooden bench yet such a wide distance from each. other. The former was focusing on his cold drink while the latter was stealing peeks at the former. After calming down for a while Prosecutor Ye Yuyan felt that he had let his anger cloud his mind and this made him pull a gun and use it at Hua Heiyu as he was blinded with hatred.

Ye Yuyan said, "I wasn't in the right mind just now. I shouldn't have pulled the trigger. But things cannot end this way, you shouldn't have escaped just to buy cakes and drink because you crave it."

Hua Heiyu moved his head and glanced at Ye Yuyan, "If I had asked... Would you have bought it for me?"

"... No..." replied Prosecutor Ye Yuyan without hesitation.

Hearing this reply the other three people in the church reacted quite coordinately. Wei Lou snorted, Jie Yun sighed while Officer Ying Wu's lips twitched.

Hua Heiyu instead smiled and said, "There's your answer."

"I will buy you whatever you want if you solve a case," said Ye Yuyan.

Hua Heiyu said, "You heard him. If he breaks his promise then he is a pig."

"Heard it," said Jie Yun.

Wei Lou chuckles, "I'm not deaf."

"Sir, since you said it. Keep it," said Officer Ying Wu.

Grumpy Prosecutor Ye Yuyan responded, "I know. There is no need to keep reminding me. By the way, Ying Wu, did you see someone who looked suspicious come out of the cafe? When I shot the gun, was there someone out of place? Like a foreigner with a white suit?"

Hua Heiyu once again smiled yet everyone who saw this smile felt a s.h.i.+ver climbing up on their back.

"I told them. I will think about it," said Hua Heiyu.

As expected, not only Ye Yuyan but also Officer Ying Wu's face turned cold at this honest answer.

Officer Ying Wu commented, "You are quite bold. That Syndicate is world cla.s.s and you have them wait for you."

"My actions depend on my mood. Only sweets and cold drinks could somewhat move me. They bought me lots of cakes and drinks before you arrived. So I told them I will think about it." said Hua Heiyu.

Ye Yuyan said, "I already told you I will buy whatever you want. Just solve the case for me."

"Heh~ whatever," said Hua Heiyu as he was about to take his leave.

Ye Yuyan said, "Where are you going?"

"Find somewhere to live too until the next day's work is given," said Hua Heiyu.

Ye Yuyan said, "You guys are not going anywhere out of sight. You will live in my condominium building. You can leave and return as you please but not you, Hua Heiyu, the headquarters prerequisite of allowing you out is being by my side 24/7"

Jie Yun, Wei Lou, and Hua Heiyu's dumb speechless. "...."

"Can I still return to jail?" asked Hua Heiyu.

An evil smirk appeared in the corner of Ye Yuyan's lips and said, "Too late for regrets. Let's go. I will show you where you guys would live."

Wei Lou said, "This place is eerie~"

"So many shadow guards and all of them are skilled," said Jie Yun.

Officer Ying Wu asked, "You know? Can you see them?"

"Get in. I will give you a room. Jie Yun and Wei Lou are in the same room. Hua Heiyu... You are going to live with me." said Prosecutor Ye Yuyan.

Wei Lou said, "Honey, I will draw you some warm bath. Good work for today."

Jie Yun heads to the kitchen to cook while Wei Lou, like a depressed dog, goes to the bath and takes a shower.

He gave his wife an aggressive kiss as if trying to make sure that he was indeed alive and was staying by his side. Yet, Hei Yuhua reached out his arms and wrapped them around Ye Yuyan's neck, and pulled him down letting their lips meet.

"Come on, darling. Give me a reaction," complained Hei Yuhua.

"You are so cold. Don't you know how much I miss... you!! Mfffftt!!!"

Before he could finish his words, Ye Yuyan dived down and kissed him more aggressively than the kiss he gave him. With rough motion, their lips collide and a tongue slips through Hei Yuhua's lips until both their lips and tongues intertwine with each other.

It is the siren of his wife's stomach telling him he is hungry. Ye Yuyan was caught off guard and saw Hei Yuhua's face turn red in embarra.s.sment.

"Shut up! Cakes can't make me full. I haven't eaten a meal all day." said Hei Yuhua.

Seeing his wife's scarlet face Ye Yuyan couldn't help but laugh at what his mate had said before. He had missed Hei Yuhua a lot even after being only separated for a day.

"I'll make you dinner, wife. You should take a bath first," said Ye Yuyan.

Hei Yuhua said, "Can't we take one together?"

"We would still take one together later~" replied Ye Yuyan while giving a meaningful smile to his mate. He even kissed his forehead lovingly before getting up to head to the kitchen.

Understanding his husband's words, Hei Yuhua could only cover his crimson face as he ran away. Taking a bath is only an excuse. Seeing his mate's cute antics Ye Yuyan heads to the kitchen in a good mood.

Meanwhile, inside Hei Yuhua's soul domain, System Yang and System Yue were informing Hei Anjing who had just woken up about how Lord G.o.d Ye had woken up for a bit while he was asleep.
