Chapter 662

Vision’s existence relied on the Mind Gem on his forehead, so if he took the mind gem out, it would be no different than killing himself! For that reason alone, Vision wouldn’t surrender his Mind Gem to anyone! So now, the woman only had one choice left!

Vision flew and phased through the table, defying physics, while the woman calling herself ‘Duck’ jumped back and drew a dagger that she threw towards Vision. But as Vision was in his intangible form, no physical attack could cause him harm! The dagger that Duck threw just went right through Vision, and Vision immediately made an attempt to subdue Duck!

From the beginning, Vision didn’t have any intention to kill Duck as he didn’t feel it was the right decision to make. But Duck was a stubborn woman as she began to launch more violent attacks towards Vision. After a while, the entire room was in a mess, and a bunch of stuff was destroyed! 

Vision became impatient as time pa.s.sed. After avoiding Duck’s attack, The Mind Gem on his head began to light up, and he aimed the energy beam to Duck’s weapon! The powerful energy beam that was discharged from the Mind Gem was a powerful attack that immediately melted the dagger that Duck held. She even felt the impact of the energy beam knock Duck away to the wall, causing her to fall to the ground. But at the same time, she threw a dagger that she concealed on her left hand.

Vision sighed and immediately blocked the dagger with another energy beam, but this time, the dagger didn’t melt right away and exploded instead! Still, it was unfortunate for Duck as the energy beam blasted the dagger back instead of forward as she intended it to. The broken blade cut her throat, and she immediately tried to stop the bleeding on her neck in desperation.

However, her struggle was in vain as a lot of blood spewed out from her fingers. 

“d.a.m.n it!” Vision said as he was equally shocked by this situation. He immediately approached Duck as he wanted to save her life, but as he observed the wound, he knew that he couldn’t do anything to help her! He began to panic as he didn’t know what to do now. Vision really liked to talk with her as she seemed to know what to talk about. 

At the same time, Duck was just smiling at Vision as if she didn’t blame him for the situation she was in. She eventually closed her eyes as her hands fell weekly to the floor. Vision fell to the pool of blood on the ground as he stared at the corpse in front of him. All he could think about was the image of him and Duck sitting on the dining table and having lunch together once more, having a relaxing chat and smiling at each other. 

“Are you sorry for killing me, or you are truly sorry for me?” A familiar voice was heard from behind him. Vision immediately stood up with wide eyes as he looked at the voice behind him and the corpse in front of him. he was so sure that the vital sign of the corpse in front of him had ceased to exist, meaning that Duck was really dead, but why was he still hearing her voices? 

Was it a hallucination? Imagination from the guilt of killing her? But suddenly, a shocking scene began to unfold in front of him! The corpse in the middle of the pool of blood suddenly lit up, and the pool of blood itself began to glow red, followed by the surrounding environment. 

When Vision came back to his senses, everything around him had changed. Everything that had been destroyed in the vicinity has returned to its original state. He began to wonder if everything that happened earlier was just a mere illusion. He looked at the plate where he served the food earlier, and Vision saw that it did look like the plate was covered by sauce, meaning that not everything that he saw earlier was an illusion! 

“Are you looking for me?” The voice of Duck echoed again. Vision started to look around, and suddenly Duck appeared out of thin air in front of him. At the same time, Duck placed her finger on Vision’s chest! 

“What the h.e.l.l is going on?” Vision said as he was confused, but before he could move away from Duck, his body that was made from Adamantium and Vibranium felt heavy and suddenly collapsed like a brick!

“Reality is a cruel power!” Duck said as she picked up a block of brick that was supposed to be Vision’s head where the Mind Gem rested. At this moment, Vision has lost his ability even to exert any form of struggle, and now, she could take Vision’s Mind Gem with ease! However, a sudden memory was played out in her head.

“I hope that we could be friends!” the word that Vision said sincerely earlier put a stop to her movement as she began to hesitate. The look of the sad Vision that regretted her apparent death earlier began to play out in her mind. 

“I don’t need a friend!” She shouted as if trying to convince herself, but it was getting harder for her hands to get closer as she held the piece of brick dearly. After a few seconds, she finally let go of the brick on her hand, following Vision’s head falling and rolling down to the ground. 

“I don’t like owing people a favour! I owe you for the meal earlier, so I hope you leave this place and find a place where no one would be able to find you! Next time we meet, I will not show you mercy!” Duck said as she turned around and left, never showing herself again!

As she went away, her power wore off, and Vision that had been turned into bricks suddenly rea.s.sembled back together and recovered like normal! As he was recovering from Duck’s ability, Vision looked out of the window and had mixed feelings. Although he saw nothing outside the window, he felt like Duck might still be watching him from outside!

He felt no joy even though he had just escaped death as he really wanted to have a nice chat with Duck once more.

“How good would it be if I was a real person?” Vision said as he touched the Mind Gem on his forehead. He didn’t know if he should thank the Mind Gem for giving him such a unique life or he should resent it for making him an artificial that wasn’t capable of love!

After suppressing his sudden suicidal urge, Vision called Tony and reported what happened to him earlier. At first, Tony thought that Vision was having a trance and seeing a near reality imagination, but as he listened carefully, he immediately realised how grave the problem was!
