Chapter 665

The plane landed, and Tony with Vision and Natasha came out of it as they were welcomed by T’challa as the king of Wakanda as their host. 

“I welcome you to the real Wakanda!” T’challa said as they entered the barrier of Wakanda. 

“Wow, to be honest, your stealth barrier is a good thing as it almost concealed the real Wakanda from me!” Tony said as he looked at the barrier that he had just pa.s.sed, but his face still showed a sign of surprise! 

“Maybe I would totally believe you if you aren’t so surprised!” Natasha said as she walked past Tony. 

“Well, I will admit that I wouldn’t expect such a tech in an African country, but I am not surprised!” Tony smiled helplessly. 

“Perhaps we could exchange some tech later. As you can see that Wakanda isn’t as simple as you think it is! But first, let me be your guide and spokesperson for this meeting. I think you will have much to talk about with the rest of the Avengers!” T’challa said with a smile on his face. 

Tony was speechless by T’challa’s word, but he just rolled his eyes as he felt embarra.s.sed of what happened in the past! Natasha looked at Vision and shrugged. Clearly, both of them weren’t as reluctant as Tony to meet the rest of the Avengers. Natasha and Vision then walked forward and met with Steve and the rest of the Avengers casually as they didn’t feel awkward whatsoever.

Tony was like a lone kid as he didn’t know how to approach the rest of the Avengers, but it didn’t take long before Steve approached Tony on his own initiative! 

“Tony! It’s been a long time! I heard that you and Pepper got engaged! I am sorry that we couldn’t be there, but we will surely be there for your marriage! I hope that you will still send an invitation for us!” Steve said as he smiled. He seemed more mature by a notch as now he grew a beard! 

“Of course! I mean, a few dollars invitation wouldn’t be bad for my wallet!” Tony said as he shook Steve’s hand awkwardly. 

“Well, thank you for coming!” Steve said with a smile on his face. 

“Oh, come on! I am here for the safety of Vision, you know! And maybe Dio’s dish too, if he still cooks.” Tony said awkwardly. Steve shook his head as he noticed that Tony was still as prideful as always! Then again, he knew if the man in front of him wasn’t prideful, then it would be an imposter! 

Steve might be taking the initiative to talk to Tony himself. Even though he was no longer a wanted man as their arrest order had been revoked, the fact that they remained unwelcomed in the USA was still a problem. The US secretary of state would not allow the Avengers to band together on American soil any longer!

But even so, the bad news that Dio brought back with him after his excursion to outer s.p.a.ce has raised the need to rea.s.semble the Avenger once more. Furthermore, Dio had rejected the idea to strictly protect Vision from Thanos as it was just a fool’s errand. Instead, Dio had planned to use Wakanda’s advanced technology to remove Vision’s Mind Stone from his head!

Vision was an important member of the Avengers, and the Mind Stone wasn’t worth his life at all! There was a possibility that Vision would be able to have a human emotion after the Mind Stone was removed anyway, so it was a better option to take!

After all, it was necessary for them to remove Vision’s Mind Stone without killing Vision in the process! 

Wakanda was the answer to their current problem as they had the technology to make it happen. Even so, Shuri wasn’t confident enough to guarantee that it would be a success as she had never performed something like this before! 

Everyone came to the conference room as the Avengers! Even though they had their differences in the past, they were still the protector of the Earth! They had to set their differences aside and work together to save the Earth! 

“I a.s.sume that everyone has finished their courtesy because our situation is urgent right now! You should already know the gist of the situation before coming in, but what I want to say is that our problem was severe! I will let Dio explain everything in detail so that you can grasp the situation better!” Steve said solemnly. Dio nodded his head and began to explain things to the rest of the Avengers. Although it was a ha.s.sle for Dio, it was a necessity as he was the only one who knew the entire situation!

After he was finished relaying all the information he had, Dio looked at everyone. “Anyone has a question?” Dio asked tiredly.

“So, the safety of the entire universe relies on the Infinity Stones?” Quicksilver asked.

“Yes, you are right!” Dio answered.

“Then all we need to do is to protect Vision this time! I felt that our situation wasn’t as bad as the past crisis, or am I missing something?” Natasha said optimistically. She was right in a sense, as they only had to protect someone instead of the world itself, but it wasn’t that simple either.

“No, I don’t think protecting me is the answer! Why don’t we try to destroy one of them to make sure that Thanos wouldn’t succeed?” Vision said after being silent the entire time. Everyone was surprised by Vision’s word as it never occurred to them to destroy the Infinity Stone. 

“Let’s not talk about that! If we destroy the Stone, then you would die! Are you prepared to sacrifice your own life in exchange for others’ lives? No, I wouldn’t agree with that!” Tony responded solemnly.

“I agree. We wouldn’t seek a victory this way!” Steve said while shaking his head.

“But this is the safest way to ensure victory, Captain! As far as I know, you also sacrifice yourself to save 600.000 lives in the past, are you not?” Vision said solemnly. “The Mind Stone is on my forehead. I have been studying its composition and element attribute since I started to think on my own! I think if it is exposed to strong energy or the energy with the same wavelength as it was, it could be destroyed on a molecular level!” Vision confidently said as he turned his attention to Wanda. 

Everyone immediately realised what he meant by that as everyone, too, look at Wanda like she was the missing piece. 

“I accept your decision!” Dio said solemnly.

“Dio, are you insane?” Natasha said incredulously. 

“That’s fine! We will destroy the Mind Stone, but after we take it out of Vision’s head!” Dio said solemnly.
