Chapter 806

“Is that supposed to be a joke?” Tony said as he was startled by what he saw right now. 

“This is not a joke, Tony! There are three asteroids heading towards us right now! Considering how huge the asteroids are, the Earth would be destroyed for sure!” Natasha said with a frown on her face. 

“Well, that’s lovely! Any of you have any useful method for us all to not die here?” Tony asked sarcastically. He was anxious by what was to come as he didn’t want the Earth to get obliterated right now. 

“In theory, we have some way to completely destroy all these asteroids in one go. But all countries around the world must respond together!” Friday answered.

“A theory?” Tony said with a frown on his face.

“Yes, the chance of success is about 1,4387%. Just in seconds, the first asteroids will hit the Earth! The only solution left is to hit them and divert their trajectory so they miss the Earth. With their size, even if we destroy them, the debris will still destroy the Earth!” Friday said calmly. 

“Why is this happening!” Tony said annoyedly.

“According to the a.n.a.lysis, there is a 90% probability that the light wave emitted by Thanos earlier drew the asteroids from their original orbit,” Friday answered again, annoying Tony even further. 

Tony just sighed as he already knew that much. Right now, Earth and those three Asteroids were like magnets; if that were the case, then changing the asteroids’ trajectory wouldn’t do much anyway. The situation would only get worse from there.

Furthermore, Tony knew that they didn’t have enough time to make every country in the world unite and surrender their weapons to divert the asteroids. At the very least, it would take a couple of days to plan this out!

“Two highspeed asteroids are already within range of a.n.a.lysis. The difference between the first impact and the second impact is approximately 6 minutes and 11 seconds.” Friday said calmly. Tony suddenly fell silent as he realised that the situation was far beyond the scope of his own ability. He didn’t see any way to get out of the dire situation they were in. 

Still, he could put his hope that the other Avengers have some way to save the Earth from this situation. Or perhaps, if they stopped Thanos, the situation could be reversed! So, Tony immediately informed everyone of their situation, hoping that they would somehow have a solution for this. 

But, everyone was as shocked and surprised as Tony himself!

“Thanos, you f.u.c.king did it!” Dio said furiously. He held the scythe tightly and swung it as if he wanted to slice Thanos in half right now, but in the end, it didn’t hit Thanos’s head at all. 

In exchange, the scythe sliced three of Thanos’ fingers clean off, and Dio put down his scythe.

Thanos stepped backward while covering his wound while his face was smirking victoriously. He still kept his calm as if he had already expected such a result. 

“Change those asteroids’ course, or I will kill you right now!” Dio said coldly. The Avengers surrounded Thanos at the same time, giving him no escape path to take. 

“It’s already too late! The moment the light wave is transmitted, your planet is already doomed! Even if I turn off the light transmitter right now, the Asteroids would still be heading this way. So, enjoy the last 5 minutes of your life on this planet!” Thanos said while laughing maniacally. 

“You think you are so smart, huh?” Dio said as he summoned [White Alb.u.m] and walked close to Thanos. Dio then activated Gently Weeps, condensing Thanos into an ice sculpture in an instant. 

“You think you are a G.o.d? Now change your own faith then!” Dio whispered in Thanos’ ear. Dio then lifted Thanos’ ice sculpture and punched it hard, shattering Thanos into millions of icy dust. 

Thanos died again in the hand of the same person who killed him last time. It could be called fate, or in Dio’s case, it was the least he could do as it was his job to take care of the purple tyrant.

With Thanos’s demise, the Chitauri army finally pulled back and immediately left Earth behind. They escaped so fast that the Avengers didn’t have the time to finish them all. But in sincerity, Dio and the others didn’t have the willpower to chase after them. 

“Tony, what is the situation right now?” Dio asked. 

“I am trying to communicate with other countries. Persuading them to put all their weapon system under Friday’s management. This way, Friday can calculate when to launch their weapons to divert the asteroids.” Tony said hurriedly. It was obvious that Tony was nervous. 

It was clear that the asteroids would be the end of mankind, but some countries still couldn’t see the situation they were in and refused to agree to Tony’s plan, which annoyed him further. If Tony had enough time, he could hijack these countries’ weaponary himself and take control of them forcefully, but with a few minutes left, he couldn’t have done that! 

“Just tell them to die! We have a way to save ourselves anyway! If they didn’t want to agree to your plan, then there is nothing we could do anyway!” Dio said coldly.

Tony’s eyes widened as he heard Dio’s word. He wonders if Dio was just bluffing or not, but the more he thought about it, the more he thought that Dio wasn’t bluffing at all. Dio’s Dark battles.h.i.+p was probably the only way to leave the planet safely after all.
