Chapter 72: Chapter 72: Mistakenly Entering the Ice Falcon Habitat
Translator: 549690339
Layer upon layer, the white silk became denser and denser. The Soul Pet Master didn’t even realize what was happening before he was wrapped up tightly in it!!
Not far away, Chu Mu stared blankly at the youth who had been completely wrapped in a white coc.o.o.n by Little Green Worm, never expecting that this tiny worm could spit out so much white silk, completely wrapping up a living person in it without him even noticing!
Wrapped in the sticky white silk, the young prisoner couldn’t even breathe. After struggling on the ground for a while, he eventually stopped moving, most likely having suffocated to death.
“Sha sha sha-
Little Green Worm moved back and forth around the prisoner’s corpse, emitting whirring sounds, looking as if it was holding a grudge against the despicable person who tried to steal its hard-earned results.
MO Ye and Chu Mu both had dumbfounded expressions on their faces, staring at the suddenly outbreak of “terrorizing fighting power” from the Little Green Worm …
“Uh, little fellow, how come you suddenly became so domineering?” Chu Mu walked over to the Little Green Worm and picked up the unusually behaved little creature.
“Woof woof—–” Little MO Xie immediately nodded in agreement with Chu Mu’s words, also not expecting the greedy and sleepy little parasitic worm to suddenly spit out so much silk.
“Sha sha Little Green Worm was still resentful, staring at the corpse and making noises that Chu Mu couldn’t understand.
“Alright, alright, don’t be angry anymore. Isn’t your stuff taken back?” Chu Mu comforted the little guy while glancing at the white corpse …
This young prisoner must have just finished a battle, and had sent his injured Soul Pet into the Soul Pet s.p.a.ce to rest; otherwise, he wouldn’t have been unable to call out a Soul Pet when the injured Ice Falcon was captured, and tragically suffocated to death by Little Green Worm using white silk.
After comforting Little Green Worm, Chu Mu went in front of Ice Falcon and began reciting the Soul Contract Spell to capture the falcon as his own Soul Warrior’s Sub Pet.
Despite a few Soul Contract Spells being recited, Ice Falcon showed significant resistance. However, when Chu Mu recited the seventh Soul Contract Spell and enveloped Ice Falcon with Soul Contract Halo, the injured Ice Falcon suddenly closed its eyes …
“Dead … so fragile …” Chu Mu looked at the Ice Falcon that gradually stopped showing signs of life and couldn’t help but shake his head with a bitter smile.
Ice Falcon couldn’t be considered as a Soul Pet that Chu Mu was very satisfied with. He wouldn’t feel the loss if unsuccessful. Moreover, the fighting power and vitality of this Ice Falcon were indeed weak, even if captured, it would be difficult to have any significant achievements.
After taking out Ice Falcon’s Soul Core, Chu Mu originally wanted to see what was on the young prisoner’s corpse, but seeing the tightly wrapped white silk, he eventually gave up on that idea.
The silk spitting ability of Little Green Worm had obviously become stronger, and Chu Mu had a hard time cutting it open with a dagger…
A sharp cry suddenly came from the tree crown, and the vigilant Chu Mu immediately followed the sound and soon found white feathers shaking among the deep green leaves.
“Another Ice Falcon?” Chu Mu said.
When an enemy appeared, MO Ye’s eyes immediately changed. MO Ye’s silver eyes stared at the location of that falcon; its Flame Attachment could probably only last for five minutes, and the flames on MO Ye’s body had gradually disappeared by now.
The piercing cry sounded again, and Chu Mu immediately turned to another direction.
“Two of them…” Chu Mu’s eyebrows furrowed immediately. In the tree crown about fifty meters behind Chu Mu, there was another Ice Falcon staring at Chu Mu and MO Ye with a pair of hunter’s eyes.
“Ice falcon screech! !!! Ice falcon screech!!!!!!!!”
Suddenly, the calls of two ice falcons came from the dense tree crowns. Their voices seemed to carry a frosty power that directly threatened Chu Mu.
“Could this be the nesting ground of ice falcons?!” Chu Mu’s complexion instantly changed. Looking around, he suddenly noticed white feathers hidden amongst the tree crowns, and the number was only increasing!
“Run! MO Ye!”
Not daring to hesitate, Chu Mu immediately locked onto a direction with the least number of ice falcons and ran at full speed!
MO Ye also realized they had come to the wrong place and tightly followed Chu Mu, protecting him.
“Ice Falcon screech!!!! Ice Falcon screech!
“Ice Falcon screech!!!!!!! Ice Falcon
The deafening calls of the ice falcons suddenly burst from the tree crowns, and chilling gusts of wind swept down from above. The plants on the ground were instantly covered in a thick layer of frost!
The frost spread out in a fan shape, advancing rapidly across the ground and putting pressure on the sprinting Chu Mu. If he slowed down even a little, he would surely freeze into a block of ice!
“MO Ye, use Flame Glimmer attack.” Feeling the approach of the ice falcon flock, Chu Mu’s heart raced even more.
MO Ye quickly climbed onto a tree branch. Its silver eyes flashed with a pair of eerie red flames, which intertwined rapidly in mid-air, seemingly igniting the air and creating a faint flame that burned the wings of a second-rank ice falcon.
Ice falcons have ice-attribute feathers, making it difficult for flames to harm them. The Flame Glimmer only caused minor burns to the second-rank ice falcon, failing to inflict any substantial damage.
“MO Ye, come back.” Chu Mu saw that MO Ye’s attacks were becoming ineffective and didn’t let MO Ye continue its meaningless a.s.sault.
“Ice Falcon
The third -rank ice falcon was obviously much faster and had already neared
Chu Mu in the sky. Its strength was considerably greater than the ice falcons Chu Mu encountered earlier. With an imposing presence, it conjured an Ice Blade Tornado which furiously attacked Chu Mu and MO Ye.
Ice Blade Tornado, a combination of ice and wind-type skills, would cause severe damage to either Chu Mu or MO Ye if struck.
The six-meter-wide white whirlwind looked like countless ice-white blades mixed together, its destructive power terrifying. The dense jungle that Chu Mu ran through was instantly destroyed beyond recognition!
Glancing at the devastated jungle, Chu Mu couldn’t help but feel relieved. If it hadn’t been for the jungle’s plants blocking most of the attack, the Ice Blade Tornado might have inflicted severe injuries on him.
After its unsuccessful attack, the third-rank ice falcon immediately let out an angry screech, furiously flapping its wings and plunging from high alt.i.tude. Its fully spread wings were like a white blade slicing through the air!
“Shasha shasha——–“
Just as Chu Mu was about to give MO Ye a command, the little green worm on his shoulder emitted an excited noise. Before Chu Mu could react, the little green worm’s incredibly sticky white silk sprayed out again, like a splash of white water droplets, very accurately hitting the ice falcon as it swooped down!
