An Xiaowan Cooks

An Xiaowan was suddenly at a loss for words, then she plainly agreed.

This man usually visits the villa late at night, since when did it become a practice to go back-earlier, and that too for dinner?

It was abnormal.

An Xiaowan looked at the time, then she turned to Susan and said, “Speak of the devil.”

Susan replied unwillingly, “You better buckle up. Time does not wait for anyone.”

An Xiaowan silently nodded her head.

By the time An Xiaowan got back, it was already 4 pm.

Looking at the fresh vegetables and meat the servants bought, she suddenly had an idea.

Huo Shen had already seen the worst of her. Perhaps it was time he saw a different side of her.

She got down to work.

She rolled up her sleeves, put on an ap.r.o.n, tied her long wavy hair into a bun, and strode to the kitchen in quick and light footsteps.

“I’ll cook dinner tonight.”

The cooks in the kitchen were stunned.

“Ms. An is good at cooking?” The cooks nervously looked at her with hope.

An Xiaowan blinked. She rested her one hand on the frame of the kitchen door, laughed faintly, and shook her head. “No, I’m not. Why?”

She casually stood at the door, her immaculate and fitting clothes wrapping her perfect body. Her gorgeous figure exuded a natural beauty and charm.

Some of the servants gaped, thinking to themselves, what a beautiful work of nature she was.

No wonder even President Huo, who has always been far from the allures of a woman, was captivated by her.

“Young Master Huo expectations… are extremely high when it comes to his food.” The servants knew she was Young Master Huo’s woman, so they were careful to be tactful with their words.

“Oh? How high?”

Just then, the butler walked in. He already overheard their conversation, so he smiled and interrupted the cook, “Young Master would be very happy if he knew Ms. An cooked dinner. The rest of you could tell Miss An about Young Master’s tastes and preferences.”

Ever since they got An Xiaowan to send in the herbal tonic that night, a.s.sistant Luo and the butler’s att.i.tudes towards her have changed for the better.

The cooks nodded their heads.

An Xiaowan clapped her hands and smiled. “Why don’t you all just cook two dishes less? I’ll do the two dishes, and you can prepare the rest.”

Huo Shen came back right on time.

He just entered the living room, and he could already smell the aroma of food coming from the kitchen.

At the same time, a beautiful lady walked out of the kitchen, wearing an ap.r.o.n, smelling like cooking spices, and holding a dish.

Huo Shen stopped in his tracks, his eyes fixated on her.

The ap.r.o.n she was wearing added a huge contrast to her gorgeous and elegant figure.

Yet, this contrast also added a hint of homeliness, making her sensuality more approachable and real. It was a rather brilliant fusion.

She looked like a completely different person from the little seductress in her drunken stupor the other night.

“Young Master.” The butler was following behind him. Seeing Huo Shen halt in his footsteps to look at An Xiaowan, he smiled and said gently, “When Ms. An heard you were coming back for dinner, she arrived early to prepare the food.”

a.s.sistant Luo quipped in to emphasize further, “It’s quite thoughtful of her.”

However, Huo Shen’s face remained indifferent. He went off to his room to get a change of clothes.

By the time he came back downstairs, the food was already laid on the table. An Xiaowan had already taken off her ap.r.o.n and was now seated by the table in a lighthearted mood.

She looked up when she heard him coming down the stairs and shot him a luring look.

Huo Shen sat down in his seat.

It was a sumptuous ten-course meal with a rich variety of meat, vegetables, and soup.

The only thing was that the presentation of some dishes…

Huo Shen was staring towards the edge of the table, at three of the dishes that were vanilla compared to the other fancy dishes.

Observing from a distance, the cooks, a.s.sistant Luo, and the butler, were starting to get nervous. After all, under normal circ.u.mstances, Huo Shen would condemn dishes of such a poor standard and would ask for them to immediately remove it.
