The Opus Killers start to moves from Nero’s instruction. Don’t kill too muchー. It’ll be a pain if the number of living soldiers are too few as well.

And then, as one would expect, because of the sound from the destruction of the door, soldiers come from within the castle. Oh my, we are pincered.

“Wha, what is with this monster!?”

“Don’t falter, you guys! Right now when the General is not around, it is our duty to protect the capital! Commence attack!”

The soldiers who appeared are releasing magic towards the Opus Killers. As I thought, the majority of the magic that is being released is fire magic. Since they will use it if they know that those are dead spirit type monsters. However, there’s no way I don’t have a counter-measure for that, right?

Buried within the Opus Killers’ body is something called Magic Absorption Crystal. It is something that Chrono made using the man-made Magic Crystal that is created by my magic power. It uses the Soul Absorption Necklace that Chrono initially made as a reference.

Magic Absorption Crystal is a crystal that absorbs magic as its name suggests, it absorbs the magic power that comes in contact with the one who’s equipping it regardless of whether it’s on the inside or outside.

However, not surprisingly, it has a demerit. That is, it also absorbs the magic power of the one who equips it. Hence, the one who equips it can’t release magic and their magic power also get absorbs when they are equipping it.

The Opus Killers before my eyes are also being absorbed presently. These guys, because they will return back to corpses if they run out of magic power, we need to make a certain amount of progress before that happens. The Magic Absorption Crystal is convenient on the defensive aspect but, the room for improvement is large.

However, it’s usable even if we take that into account, it has nothing to do with the Opus Killers who couldn’t use magic from the start. Their strengths are, the defensive capability that receives almost no physical attack and, the offensive capability that smashes everything.

Even now, they are attacking the soldiers. If they were punched by such physical strength, even soldiers who are wearing armour can’t endure it. Aa, that’s right. Let’s use them as well.

“Nero, let’s use those guys. Alright, Mylene?”

I see Mylene’s nod and give Nero the instructions once again. Nero gives off an atmosphere like he’s grinning broadly and……he sets his hands on the ground. And then, when he pours magic power in, new servants appear from the ground.

What appeared were four monsters. The first is a monster that is dyed in red through its whole body. The second is a headless giant. The third is a woman with her eyes and mouth sewed shut. And the fourth is a zombie that has its right arm unified with a sword.

These guys are, Mylene’s former comrade and the A-Rank adventurer. That time after they were killed, I modified and made them my subordinates.

The leader-looking fellow who verbally abused Mylene was, turned into a superior type of zombie, a Crimson Reaper that possesses sharp claws and poison.

The fellow who held the s.h.i.+eld was, turned into a race that’s close to Liscia, a Giant Dullahan.

The woman who begged Mylene for her life was, turned into a monster that place curses, a Curse Enchantress.

The remaining A-Rank adventurer was, turned into a Zombie Soldier that has its right arm fused with the wind magic sword.

Each one of them became powerful new servants. I thought, ‘Does Mylene feel anything about it?’ but, envious of how they can be useful to me, she was being jealous of them. Cute. Mylene is being useful just by being by my side. As a being who heals me who possesses such a finely split and frayed heart.

“Go”

Crimson Reaper and Zombie Soldier who starts running at Nero’s instruction. Giant Dullahan stands to protect Curse Enchantress, from the mouth that should’ve been sewed, Curse Enchantress recites chants of curses.

“S, so fast!? De, defens, gya!”

“D, don’t let them get closer……hee”

Crimson Reaper stabs the soldier who’s at the furthest front with its claw, Zombie Soldier released a blade of wind towards the soldier giving out the instructions. From the blade of wind, the soldier’s head flew.

And after that, the other soldiers begin to kneel down and cover their ears. Curse Enchantress’ curses started to take effect. Inside the soldiers’ ears, they can hear the screams of the dead. However, it’s only effective against those with low magic power resistance.

Several people amongst the soldiers endure Curse Enchantress’ curses and are battling with the Opus Killers. Well, it doesn’t change that our side is pus.h.i.+ng them back though.

“Burn and disappear!”

However, in the next moment, the Opus Killers disappear instantly and turned into ashes. Heh, just as the rumours say huh. From behind the soldiers, a woman walks calmly while shaking her red hair that’s put together at the back. She’s holding in her hand a sword that’s clad in flames. Fumu, she is…….

“Those who sully the citizens who are my precious family members, the traditional Royal Castle that is my precious home, shall not be forgiven! In the name of Mestoa Kingdom’s First Princess, Akfia・Mestoa, I will defeat you bunch of intruders!”

After saying that, she swings her sword that has its flames’ intensity increased even more. Akfia・Mestoa, the woman who is called「Flame Princess」by many countries huh. It seems she is as capable as the rumours say. To begin with, I test it out by sending Crimson Reaper and Zombie Soldier towards her.

To begin with, Zombie Soldier swings down the sword on its right hand that’s clad in wind. Flame Princess repels it from below with her sword and, she cuts Zombie Soldier up as it is. A considerable speed.

Because it immediately s.h.i.+fted to the side, Zombie Soldier only got its left arm cut off but, fire ignites from the cut wound and it’s trying to burn Zombie Soldier.

Flame Princess tries to continue on and deliver the finis.h.i.+ng blow on Zombie Soldier but, Crimson Reaper swings its claw to change places with it. Perhaps because Flame Princess realises the poison that comes out of the claw, she dodges greatly so that it doesn’t graze her and releases slashes of flames to keep it at bay.

Crimson Reaper, without being able to get close is cut by the slashes all over and have wounds throughout its body. As I thought, it’s a heavy burden if the opponent is the Flame Princess huh. It’s my ability possessing subordinates that I spend a great deal of effort on. It won’t be a hard blow even if it disappears here but, having it is better than not having it.

I give out the instructions to Nero and have them pull back. And to not let her get close in the meantime, I have Mylene release magic, to keep at bay the Flame Princess like she did just now.

However, the magic on our side was unfortunately burned by Flame Princess’ flames. A spherical object about 30 centimetres in diameter is floating to protect her. And then, it automatically blocks when magic approaches. Even when it’s two at the same time, it splits and blocks it. How nice, that is. I’ll also try it later on.

More importantly, the soldiers whose morales increase from the Flame Princess’ entrance. The Opus Killers at the back still exist but, those on the Flame Princess’ side have already all been defeated.

To think that she would exceed the Magic Absorption Crystal’s maximum capacity. What a frightening amount of magic power, Flame Princess. Since the Opus Killers were scorched by the flames that weren’t able to be absorbed completely.

It can’t be helped but, let’s go as planned here. I want to try fighting as well but, it’s more reliable for her to come out. Let’s leave it to her for now. I’ll make it so that I can win even if I come out in the future.

“Then, I’ll leave it to you as planned, Liscia. Mylene will use defensive magic to protect us. I wouldn’t want to be dragged into it”

“Understood!”

“Fufuu, leave it to me, Master. I who is Master’s sword will cut open the path!”

Perhaps because she’s glad of what I requested for, Liscia starts walking gleefully. Her surrounding starts to s.h.i.+ne and, 7 swords revolve around like they attend to her. If I remember correctly, she said that she also has a nickname or something. It is

“『Seven Swords』, Liscia. By Master’s order, I will defeat you!”
