“They are all Limitlesses.” Dean observed those soldiers’ heat reactions through his thermal vision, but was surprised by the strong power of these seemingly ordinary soldiers.
Were Dragon Guards the most ordinary here?
After Haisha pa.s.sed by, those soldiers raised their heads, nodded to Dean and grinned at him with a playful, defiant, dismissive smile when Dean looked at them.
Without changing his expression, Dean scanned their faces one by one.
Haisha walked down the street which was flanked by buildings.
As he pa.s.sed by one of the buildings, Dean heard weeping of women and laughs of men. When he looked over his shoulder, he saw many heat reactions in the building with his thermal vision, some of which were weak. Those weak heat reactions seemed to come from ordinary hunters, all of whom seemed to be female judging from their body figures.
"What’s this?” Dean looked away and asked Haisha.
Haisha looked at him with her eyes narrowed. "Are you interested?"
Dean was embarra.s.sed and coughed lightly: "No, I am not. I just want to know why you build such a place here."
Haisha gave him a complicated look and then returned to normal. She looked straight ahead at the road and said, "Dragon guards have been living in the wasteland for a long time, far away from protection their home and Inner Wall. They live a precarious life. If they have no entertainment, they might go insane. ”
It reminded Dean of things having happened in the Thorn Flower Prison. Prisoners went crazy when they were imprisoned in cages. If Inner Wall was like a cage, these people living outside the wall should be free and happy, but the reality was not like that at all because when birds broke out of the cage, they would perish…

What was real prison?
Dean’s thoughts drifted away, far from buildings on the sides of the street, until he heard a voice in front of him, "Your royal highness, you're back finally! We were all so worried!"
It was from a young man.
Dean looked ahead and saw a handsome young man, tall and thin, with bright blond hair, in a soft white robe, like a n.o.ble gentleman. The only defect was the long, narrow scar on his cheek, unpleasant to see like a crack in a fine china.
“How long have I been away? "Asked Haisha.
Surprised though, the handsome young man answered, "You’ve been away for about forty days."
Dean was surprised. The last time Haisha left was to kill Parna, a young Wing Clan man, in the orange wasteland where she met him. In that case, they had been together for over a month, meaning that he had been in the wastelands for more than a month!
Haisha thought to herself, "After all this time, her inauguration ceremony should have already been over."
"Eureka, one of the eight generals, also a friend of mine. Eureka, this is my friend Dean. I hope you'll take care of him in the future." Thinking thoroughly and quickly of the entire thing, she introduced.
Eureka was surprised. As Haisha was approaching him, he noticed Dean behind her. He thought maybe he was some random victim Haisha picked up in orange wasteland. It turned out that he was a friend of hers.
Spending so many years in Wasteland, he knew Haisha well enough. Even though she was extremely strong, she was not good at social skills. She was a quiet loner with few friends. Surprisingly this ordinary man became the Saintess’ friend!
He looked up and down at Dean but still couldn’t see anything special about him.
However, since he was a friend of Haisha, there was probably some hidden talent or special reason about him.
Thinking of this, he smiled a little and stretched out his hand, “Nice to meet you. If there's anything I can help you with, just let me know."
Dean nodded slightly, shook his hand briefly, and then withdrew. A friend of a friend was not necessarily a friend. After all, Haisha was the only person he knew here.
On seeing that Dean was a quiet and serious person too, Eureka raised his eyebrows slightly. Now he understood why they became friends. They were birds of a feather.
"Are you the only one at the fort? Where are the others?" Asked Haisha.
Eureka smiled. "Amy and Gabe are out on a mission. Everyone else is busy. I am the only one who has some spare time. So I am here to meet you.”
With a slight frown, Haisha asked, "Have the fort been attacked lately?"
"Twice, but we got rid of those people who sneaked in." Eureka looked at her and said, "Why took you so long to come back? Were you in a trouble? You left for killing Wing Clan intruders. Even Wing Clan Saint is not your match, let alone those minions. Have you encountered monsters?"
Haisha nodded slightly, "I ran into a legendary Hunter."
"Legendary Hunter?!" Eureka was shocked and couldn’t help asking, "What then? Are you hurt?"
"No, I am all right." Haisha shook her head slightly. "I got injured, so I stayed longer out there." Then she went on ahead. In front of her was an exceptionally high and magnificent castle with hundreds of steps.
Eureka caught up with her, "Are you fully recovered? Allow me to get a doctor to treat you right away."
"I am fine now."
"We’d better double check if there is any sequela."
"All right."
"Then I'll send for the doctor at once."
Speaking of which, Eureka turned around and ran away, glancing at Dean as he pa.s.sed by, nodding at him slightly.
Dean nodded at him slightly too. When he was gone, Dean frowned slightly because he had a bad impression of this man.
Haisha did not look back though, she seemed to notice Dean’s expression. "What's wrong?"
Dean shook his head, "Nothing."
Haisha smiled, "You don't seem very happy."
"No. I am fine." Dean quickly denied it and switched the topic, "There must be a lot of monsters on the border of red wasteland. Isn’t it easy to be targeted by monsters to build such a big fortress?”
Haisha smiled, "We have Holy Worm Powder outside the fortress which can keep most monsters away, unless they are legendary ones. Of course, there are ordinary monsters that are not afraid of the powder, but there are only a few of them."
