“Let's listen to some music?” Xiang Nuan suggested.

Lin Chuyan pushed aside his stray thoughts and turned on some music.

The first song played was . Xiang Nuan found it rather ironic to be listening to the song in a Ferrari. She nodded her head along with the rhythm of the song. Lin Chuyan glanced at her and smiled: “Are you going to school?”

“That's right.”

“Alright.”

Lin Chuyan drove the car out of the parking lot and onto the road. He handled the car quite smoothly. When they were waiting for the traffic light, he turned to ask Xiang Nuan: “Have you heard about the ghost incident at your campus last semester?”

Xiang Nuan had seen posts on the school forum about the incident. People swore they had seen it with their own eyes.

“Don't mention it.” Xiang Nuan stroked her arms with her hands, she had already forgotten about it.

“Ok. I thought you might get scared.” Lin Chuyan said slowly: “School hasn't started yet so there won't be anyone in the dorms right now. You'll be the only one on your floor, without heat. It'll be dark and cold at night and no one around to help if……”

“Lin Chuyan, shut up!”

“Ok. Sorry. I'm just worried that you'll be scared.” Lin Chuyan sounded very genuine: “As long as you aren't scared, then I don't have anything to worry about.”

“I……”

“To tell the truth, if it were me, I'd probably be scared. Xiang Nuan.” As he spoke, he turned his head to the side to look at Xiang Nuan and praised her: “You're really brave.”

“I……” Xiang Nuan was actually a little scared…...Q A Q

But Lin Chuyan had already said she was brave, it was hard for her to admit the fact that she was scared.

Lin Chuyan took Xiang Nuan to her dorm. The whole building was empty, cold and quiet. When they walked down the corridor, their footsteps echoed adding to the creepy atmosphere.

He walked Xiang Nuan to her room, handed her backpack back, and waited for her to get her key for the door.

Xiang Nuan hesitated.

“What's wrong?” Lin Chuyan played dumb. Xiang Nuan was looking downward and didn't see the mischievous look in Lin Chuyan's eyes.

Xiang Nuan struggled in her mind and finally said: “I'll go check into a hotel.” 

Lin Chuyan thought about it for a moment, then said: “You don't need to do that. You better come stay at my place. We have a lot of houses.”

What did that mean, Xiang Nuan thought: “Are your parents the landlord?”

Lin Chuyan laughed: “No.”

He pulled the luggage out of the dorm with Xiang Nuan in tow. After leaving the dorm, Xiang Nuan felt much more relaxed.

On their way, Lin Chuyan asked Xiang Nuan where she would like to stay, near the school or the stadium or near some shopping centers. It looked like his family owned houses all around the city.

Xiang Nuan asked back: “Where do you live?”

Lin Chuyan lowered his voice: “You want to stay in the same house with me?”

Xiang Nuan blushed and turned her face away: “Don't say nonsense like that. I just don't want to make too much trouble.”

Lin Chuyan figured that meant she did want to stay in the same place as him. ^ - ^
