Overpowered Gosu Chapter 1

Chapter 1

It took eleven months to exit the forest. It was truly a huge forest. The thing which p.i.s.sed Lin Feng was the beast attacks. As soon as he was out of the cave, beasts tried to attack him.

To his surprise, he was no match for the beasts who tried to attack him. The only option available to him was run.

Lin exploited his physical limit and ran for his life. It took him two months to exit the inner region of the forest. While escaping, he thought "How will  I  come back if something happens?"

After entering the mid-region, he sat on a huge tree’s branch and took out some of the remaining meat of his previous body from his ring and ate it. For an unknown reason, this meat was truly heavenly. As he was enjoying the delightful meal, he observed the weird behavior of the surrounding beasts. Instead of attacking they were scared. As he was a half-beast thing, he was able to understand their conversation….

“How  can a human survive the inner region and come back alive?”

“He must be someone very strong”

“But, from the look he the looks, he must be 16 or 17 right?”

“I think we should avoid him at any cost, don’t you see, he is eating beast meat…. Beast meat of an inner region beast. If he can kill them…. We just some weakling in front of him. I say we must leave”

Truly hilarious, Lin Feng was laughing like he heard the biggest joke in the world. Killed inner region beast? Beast meat?

As he barely escaped the claws and jaws of the inner region beast and these fools say I killed them? Truly laughable. After finis.h.i.+ng his meal he continued his journey. It lasted for another 9 months. He took few breaks for his basic need and deeds.

After exiting the forest, the scenery in front of him was totally different. If forest was h.e.l.l then the front view had an appearance of heaven.

He started walking while enjoying the beautiful view. Clear blue sky with slow breezes, ground covered with wildflowers.

After one hour or so, I reached the entrance of the town. To avoid and ident.i.ty issue, I traveled along the walls, made ensure no one was watching then jumped over the wall to enter the town.

After entering the town, Lin started searching for a library. Even though he has knowledge about various things, there is was little amount about humans and human society. He was not able to find the library and for some reason, I looked down upon human, awkward.

Guess it is my blood.

And it’s been 8600 years since he ever used his personal voice. All these years he stayed alone so he didn’t like the idea of interacting but considering the present situation, he decided to compromise.

Lin Feng went to the nearest vendor shop and asked. It was a fruits shop.

“Tell me where the library is?.”

Instead of asking it sounded more like ordering. The vendor was a kid of 40+ years. If we talk about seniority, Lin was surely the “Father of the word Elder”.

The busy vendor raised his head to look the b.a.l.l.sy who was trying to be bossy in front of him. When his eyes met with the customer's eyes, his heart rate increased and he felt the cold stare from Lin Feng. It was just like the predator's eyes. He submissively said.

“Please wait, I’ll close my shop and take you to the library personally.”

“Make it quick,” Lin said.

Were humans of this world really this pitiful? d.a.m.n! This world is so much better than Earth. The shopkeeper closed his shop as if his world was ending.

“Please follow me, sir.”

“Hmm”

I followed this human for five minutes and we finally arrived in front of the library. I took out few silver coins from the ring and gave them to the human and said.

“Wait here”

“Yes sir”

After that, Lin went to the library and started reading books, one after another. Soon he finished reading the sufficient book which helped him to get the better understanding of the current kingdom and its history.

Apparently, the current town which was staying is called “Phantom Town”. It is the farthest town from the main the kingdom “Ribaldry Kingdom”. This town was one of the worst to stay due to the constant beast raid. Even that being the case, people choose to live here and the reason behind it Money. As the distance between the kingdom decreases the living standards increases which result in more money consumption.

The n.o.bility of this town will be a commoner if they choose to go somewhere else. That being the case, not even a single commoner can dream of leaving this place.

This place didn’t have anything that peeked Lin’s interest. He tried to read about other towns but they were also the same except few things. At the end, he chooses to read about the kingdom and he wasn’t disappointed.

The kingdom was a hub of the young genius of various fields. The political power was divided into levels.

At the top, the imperial family followed by three great clans. These clans were very powerful if together, powerful enough to overthrow the imperial family but they were natural enemies. These clans were known as the Li clan, Su clan, and the Xia clan. Xia clan was the strongest among them.

Su clan had the control of all the auction houses in the kingdom. Their main source of income was the commission's they earn by selling various treasures and other kinds of stuff. Each and every town had one of it branch named as “SALTY AUCTION HOUSE” while the main branch was situated in the kingdom itself. It was named as “BRACKISH AUCTION HOUSE”

Li clan had the control of all the restaurants and Brothels. They were the weakest among the three.

As for the Xia clan, they were the true ruler. Most of the pill genius were born in the Xia clan. Most of the Pills auctioned in the auction house belonged to them. Throughout the kingdom, they we the e most respectable clan. Xia clan controlled the flow of herds and other ingredients required to concoct pills.

After exiting the library, he saw the previous vendor standing there, he asked him.

“Is there a way to go to the Imperial city?”

“Yes... yes… every morning, there will be a carriage to bring people from place to place. If sir want to go to Imperial city, it will cost 1 gold coin. One more point to be noted sir, there are constant bandit raid on the way. So, very few people go.”

“Good job, now take me to a nice inn.”

“Yes Sir, this way…...”

After following the vender for sometime, we came in front of a beautiful building, names as “Mortal Palace”. I made the vender leave and entered the Inn.

A pretty lady was at the counter. Fair complexion, green eyes, sharp nose and on and onn….

After she saw me, she asked.

“How may I help You esteemed customer?”

“One room for one night and food for 10 people”

“Yes sir”

“How much?”

“Sir, one night cost is 2 silver and food for 10 people will be 90 copper”

I took out three silver and placed them on the counter and went straight towards my room. I took out my robe and placed it on the chair. While sitting, a thought struck me hard.

“How long it’s been since I took a bath? ”

Feeling bad about it, Lin went for a thorough bath, although it was not needed. By the time he came out of the from the bath, food was served. Hot and delicious.

Been ages since I ate like human and or ate human food…. Truly weird.

Quickly wearing the previous cloths, I started eating the served food. There were many dishes like stew, bread, fried rice…..

After finis.h.i.+ng my meal, I was feeling bored so, I planned to take a stroll around the town.

After coming to this world, Lin didn’t had any chance to see the world closely. He only had a basic idea. Now that he have the chance, he didn’t wanna miss it.

While walking, he was examining the his surroundings. The structure of the building and the strength of a average person. He was shocked from both results.

The structure of the buildings was worst s.h.i.+t he could ever imagine. Even a simple earthquake can shatter it. Regarding the strength of an individual? Most of the people were normal….simple plain human. While some had tiny bit of strength like Primary body strengthening !?

So weak…. When he was feeling feeling sick after seeing these people. He choose  to return.

By the time he got back to his room, it was evening. That being said, Lin wanted to drink. He went to the reception to ask. The lady was standing their with a smily face.

“Can I get some good wine to drink?” [Lin]

“Yes sir, It will cost 8 silver a jug. How much do you want sir?”

“3 jugs would be enough”

After giving the money, Lin said them to deliver the wine jugs to his room. Lying on the bed, Lin was thinking about his future plans.

“This kingdom is famous for pills and pill maker. It would be stupid if I don’t exploit this fact. Basically, I’m theorist right now, without any practical knowledge. I have all the required  for pill making. so , my first step will be a Tilted Grand Master.”

After sometime, wine was delivered by a shorty guy. When I opened the Jug’s lid, a strong aroma filled the room. Picking up the jug I took a shot, it was strong, really strong. It was Lin’s first time drinking. Being a greenhorn and ignoring the future, he finished the jug, then another one and the last one too.

Slowly, the wine started to take effect. Right now, Lin was feeling high. It was like...like sitting on a roller coaster.

“So this is how it feels like? It sure is fun. I have to thank the lady to provide me with such wine...wine lady….. I’m coming.”

Lin got of the bed and moved straight towards the counter. Right now, Lin wasn’t wearing his robe which hid most of his appearance. Upon arrival near the counter, he saw few people were arguing with the wine lady. He paid attention to their conversation.

“This month's protection fees will be 100 silver ” said the man in lead.

“We can’t give and we didn’t ask your protection. If you will insist, we will ask help from City lord.” Wine Lady.

“You guys are the protection squad?” Lin said to interrupt their conversation.

“Yes” the leader said while turn back to check the speaker. When he saw Lin, who was 16 or so, he wanted to laugh “” What do you want kid? Candy?”

“You will protect them if I attack them right?” Lin said while ignoring the sarcastic comment.

The leader wanted to laugh so badly right now but to humor Lin, he said “Ofcourse”

“You know...i really didn’t wanted to use my strength or world will say I’m bully. Today is an exception. Play with me. ”

The people present in the Inn were confused, why this kid acting strange? Before they could comment on the situation, Lin disappeared from his initial position and he reappeared in front of the leader.

Currently, Lin was holding the leader’s neck in on hand. Leader was floating mid air. Shock on his face was apparent. He knew he messed with someone he shouldn't have.

“You want protection fees even when you are not efficient? Do these people look fool to you?”

“Not at all senior, we were just joking. You can ask the lady, weren’t we joking ?” he asked the wine lady. He wanted to avoid the calamity which he brought upon himself with the Monster with appearance of kid

“He was not joking, His gang and he comes here to take money from us as a ‘Protection Fee’ ” wine lady said without pause. She knew Lin was her Inn and her saviour.

“Now let me tell you something. You can die or you can die. Which one? Hehehe” Lin said while trying to sound funny but it wasn’t so funny to the leader’s ears. He really wanted to curse himself but it was too late.

In the eyes of the leader and the crowd, Lin was no less than a Devil and his smile…. Scary one.

Lin didn’t plan to kill him. He wanted to teach him a lesson.After scaring the leader he said.

“ Wanna live?”

“ Yes”

“Want protection fees?”

“ ye..NO!”

“Leave” Lin released the leader. Leader expression was truly priceless the moment Lin let go of him. It was like the one, when your crush had a crush on you too, blissful.

Lin Feng turn around to head to his room but he recalled the real reason to come here. He turned back to face the wine lady and said.

“ Thank you for the wine….” before he could say some more….he pa.s.sed out.
