Chapter 2

Next morning, Lin woke up in his room. Trying to recall previous night’s incident, he just laughed at himself.

“I’ll try wine once more when I get chance”

Apparently, the wine lady helped him to get back to his room.

Today was the day of departure from this town. Lin got up from the bed and went for a quick bath. Once he was ready to go, he left his room and headed toward the counter.

It seems wine lady was waiting for him. The moment Lin appeared, she said.

“Senior, because of you, our my Inn was saved yesterday, As a token of thanks, here are 10 barrel of the best wine we have.”

This world respected the strong and torture the week. Wine lady calling Lin as a Senior was normal even her age was more from a normal point of view. In reality, no human would be of his age.

Lin was delighted to hear the word “Wine”. He happily accepted the wine and stored it into the ring.

“I’ll be leaving the inn today and head towards the Imperial city. It was great experience staying here”

Lin Feng was really happy because of the wine he just got. In happiness, he said few word he would never say when he is normal. In reality, there was nothing which attracted Lin’s attention except for the wine.

“Senior if you visit our town, please stay in our Inn. we would be honored” Wine lady said. She knew the importance Lin’s name hold in this town. The whole town knew about last night incident. If she succeeds in making Lin name tie to her Inn, it will make it more famous in the town and no one will pick on them like the thugs from last night.

“Sure,” Lin said and left the Inn.

Currently, Lin was going to meet the vendor from last time. Lin was still unknown to this place which made him to depend on the vendor.

It took few minute walk to reach the shop. When the vendor saw Lin, he immediately started to close his shop. There were few customer buying fruits. They were displeased from the vendor’s behavior. After closing the shop, vendor came running and stood in front on Lin like an army officer.

“What can I do for you today, senior?”

“Take me to the place where the carriage arrives.” Lin said with an expressionless face.

“Senior, this way”

Following the vendor, Lin arrived near the outskirts of the town, nothing to be seen. Lin asked the vendor.

“Where is the carriage?”

Vendor’s faced had an evil smile on his face. He said.

“Senior, never flaunt your wealth. You are very fat chicken hence you will die today.”

“Die..me? Will you kill me?” Lin asked the vendor.

“Not me but we all.” As he ended his words, twenty or so people came out of the woods and surrounded Lin. There were few face Lin recognized like the thugs' group from last night. Lin saw the strength of the people surrounding him and an expression of disappointment was apparent on Lin’s face. Majority of the people were in secondary body strengthening and few were tertiary. Lin said with disdain.

“You all wanna kill me, let me kill you all. ” Lin wasn’t planning to give any of the member waste his time. By killing them, he could help the town. Lin picked a twig from the ground and disappeared.

A gust of wind blew past the people standing there. When Lin reappeared. Everyone fell on the ground while holding their throat. Only two people were alive. One was Lin and another one was the vendor. Lin said.

“Humans are really small minded. You thought of killing me for my wealth. Now, you are about to die too. One advice, never backstab your benefactor ”

Lin did the same thing which he did to others.

“Now where will I find the carriage?” Lin was p.i.s.sed because of the vendor. The moment he thought of traveling on his own, he saw a carriage coming out from the town’s entrance gate. The outer appearance of the carriage was more like a bus from his previous life.

“That must be the one” Lin knew right away. This must be the carriage he is searching for. He ran toward the carriage and stood in the middle of the road.

The carriage driver was scared. He thought Lin must be the bandit everyone talks about. From Lin appearance, anyone would mistake his ident.i.ty. He knew he could not avoid the crisis so he stopped his carriage. He was planning to settle the issue with offering some money.

The driver got up from his seat and approached Lin by asking.

“Why are you blocking our path? We are not the people who you want to mess with.” The driver tried to suppress Lin but little did he know about Lin capabilities.

Lin was confused from the behavior of the man in front of him. Lin asked.

“Is this the carriage going to the Imperial city?”

When the driver heard Lin’s question, he confirmed Lin ident.i.ty as a bandit. With a gloomy face, he took out few silver coin and tried to give to Lin while saying.

“I have this much only. Please leave us alone”

Lin was totally confused now. He doubted drive’s sense, is he r.e.t.a.r.ded? Lin didn’t ask for money but this r.e.t.a.r.d is giving him money. Maybe this world is filled with r.e.t.a.r.ded people?

Lin asked again.

“Maybe you are mistaken. I want to go to the Imperial city. Is this carriage of your is heading toward the Imperial city?”

“You want to go to the imperial city and you are not a bandit?”

“Me bandit? Are you out of your mind? How much will it cost me to use your carriage and how much time will it take to reach the imperial city?”

“Great, great… I thought you are a bandit. It will cost one gold coin and time required to reach our destination will be one month if there is no problem.”

The driver was delighted to know about the exact situation and his foolishness. He gave all the information Lin asked for. Lin took out one gold coin and gave it to the driver.

When Lin was about to enter the carriage, the driver called everyone inside the carriage including Lin. He said

“The journey is long and tiring. Every day we will be stopping for two hours for hunting. After hunting, we will set up camp for sleeping. The camping material will be provided by me. Hunted animals will be our food source. Everyone have to hunt their our food, If someone is incapable of hunting, he/she can buy from someone. The price will depend on the seller. I won’t be responsible if someone dies while hunting and lastly beware of bandits. That will be the basic information you all need. Now let’s have a safe journey”

After sharing information or more like sacring most of the people. Everyone boarded the carriage. The total number of people traveling including Lin was seventeen. The s.e.x ratio was 16:1.

The only girl in the carriage was very pretty. Silver hair, black eyes, and perfect face cut. She was the type everyone desired to have.

The inner s.p.a.ce of the carriage was normal with few artwork here and there. It contained seats for 30 people.  Lin choose a seat at the corner end. Lin liked being alone and the current situation was idle. Lin started planning for a one-month plan.

“I have one month before I reach my destination.  I can sleep for a month or do some training. Another option would be training in the morning and collect herbs at night. Yes, that would be perfect.”

As he made finished making his plan, he searched the information related to the [Draman Cultivation technique]. It was a cultivation technique which was practiced by the great dragon king of the ancient era. This technique included various skills and single moment skill which complemented it.

Name of the moment speed was [Phantoms steps]. Once mastered to it’s peak, one can transform into a smoke form and create illusionary clone with the help of speed. The user speed at its peak will be unimaginable. When the user is phantom form, anyone below or equal to the user strength will not be able to harm him. Finally, the user can transform into smoke and disperse into the air to spy anyone below or equal strength.

Next skill name was [INTIMIDATION]. Anyone who is a Draman can order any being below his strength to do anything. It can be any action.

Next skill was related to attribute. Draman can check their attribute by calling their fire. It was something they are born with. Every color signifies different attribute. For example, Cardinal red was fire, Azure blue was water, Amber was Earth, Thistle was wind and so on…

Lin tried to call his fire. A sense of heat originated from his core. Slowly, above Lin’s palm, a Eerie black flame ignited. According to his memory, his attribute was Wind and darkness. Lin was dual attributed .

Lin checked skill for both attributes.

For wind, the skill name was [Dance of Gale storm]. This skill was divided into various stages.

Stage one : Command over wind. As a Draman with Wind attribute, you have command over the wind the moment you transitioned. In this stage, the user can control the wind to attack his/her enemy. The strength and speed of wind will depend on the user’s strength. User strength is proportional to the wind strength and speed. If the user perfects this step, he/she can make various object using wind

Stage two : In this stage, the user can make air cus.h.i.+on to fly or walk in air. Rate at which user can make the air cus.h.i.+on depends upon the strength of the user. When the user perfects this stage, he/she can combine this  stage and [Phantom steps] to travel fast in air too.

Stage three : Successive explosion of compressed wind. This is attack type move. User compresses the wind in co-centric to the extreme level which results in the formation of sonic waves. Strength of the sonic wave is twice the strength of the user.

Stage four : User will condense a weapon using his/her Wind attribute.

For Darkness, the skill name was [Executioner’s Will]. This skill was also divided into stages.

Stage one : This stage was known as [a.s.sa.s.sin’s Will]. It was a concealment technique. Combined with the [Phantom’s steps] smoke form, no will be able to discover the user presence. It’s the ultimate stealth technique. User can use this to kill above his/her strength too. If the strength gap is too high, user will be discovered.

Stage two : This stage is named as [Thousand faces]. User can transform his/her face and physique to their choose.

Stage three : This stage is known as [Curse of the Undying]. User can absorb the energy of dead. After absorbing, it will form a curse mark on user’s body. When the user wants a sudden burst of strength for a short duration, he/she can use the energy stored in the cursed mark.

Stage four : User will condense a weapon using his/her Dark attribute.

To Lin surprise, the number of skill he had the information was unending. The one’s he read were drop in the ocean.

“I can have two weapon’s. What would be the weapon I will get? I hope it’s something nice.”

As Lin was dreaming about his weapon, he heard someone asking him something….

“Are you a pill maker?”

Lin turned his head to look who is disturbing him. It turned out to be the only girl in the carriage.

“Shut up” Lin said and continued his dreams without paying attention to the girl.

Their was a look of surprise in the girl's eyes.

“It’s the first time someone ignored me but I want to know if  uncle is a pill maker or not” as she thought she started pestering Lin.

“Are you a pill maker?”

“Where are you from?”

“Why are you so quiet?”

The frequency of asking question kept increasing but it suddenly stopped …

“Pha”

Lin gave a tight slap across the girl’s face and said “When I say Shut up, you be quiet. You get it?”

The girl in front of Lin nodded.

Everyone was shocked from Lin action. Slapping a cute looking girl. Lin got back to his imagination as if nothing happened.

“I can only practise the attribute related skill during day time and the moment skill during hunting and herb gathering.
