After a while has pa.s.sed since Yui and Kains arrived at Ahmad's office, the door was knocked in the middle of their talks.

"Excuse me. Director Ahmad, a guest has arrived"

A female staff’s voice resounded on the other side of the door. Wondering who the guided visitor was, Ahmad could only ask in wonder.

"A visitor at this time? Who in the world could that be?"

"That is……"

When the female staff tried to answer, a low voice of a man saying "It's alright" was heard, and the door was opened all of a sudden. From there, a man in his forties with a distinct moustache wearing an elegant appearance appeared from the opened door.

"It’s me. I see that you're still as lively as ever, Yui"

"Duke Rhine!"

Upon seeing the arrival of the duke, Yui and the others stood up in surprise. Laughing upon their reaction, Duke Rhine swayed his hands up and down, commending them to remain seated as they were.

"I can't believe it has been this long. By the way, I heard you will be going to the Military Affairs Building before dropping at my house so since I just came back from the royal castle, I decided to pick you guys up"

"Thank you very much for your concern, Your Grace"

"Enough with "Your Grace". You can just call me Jennard, as always"

Going from the time just when Yui was a.s.signed as Eins' tutor, the duke came to like the personality and recognize the talent of Yui, and being fond of the boy, he requested to address himself in that manner. Although liking his abilities is one of his reasons, what caused him to be like like that is when he heard that Yui is an orphan.

Feeling sorry for the fact that Yui's family doesn't exist anymore, Jennard gradually began to recognize himself as his guardian. From time to time, Jennard, during the days off at the military school, he accompanied Yui and Eins, whether to work or to play around.

Ahmad already knew how affectionate Jennard is to Yui, to the point of almost treating him like his own son, but to the crude response to himself, he could only sigh with both shoulders down. However, As soon as Jennard lost his interest at Ahmad, he switched his gaze towards Kains sitting next to Yui.

"Mr. Kains. It seems to be that my son Eins was indebted to you a few days back. For that, I wish to express my grat.i.tude to you. Thank you very much"

After he said that, Jennard lowered his head towards Kains.

"P-please raise your head, Your Grace. I'm just doing my job and it was not a big deal. Please"

Hurried by Jennard, the two got on his carriage and seated opposite of him. After issuing instructions to the coachman, Jennard, Yui and Kains left the military affairs building.

The night has begun to descend after the three people depart, dimming the city of Eltoburgh bit by bit. At the side of the street, various lamps using magic stones as their source began to brighten the place with their faint light. Being guided by the faint light of the sky and the magic stone lights, they gradually proceeded towards Jennard's mansion.

As they go towards the center of the city, they pa.s.sed by a commercial district; and around four blocks the surroundings gradually transformed into a place with an air of n.o.bility, and mansions of the aristocratic families became more prominent. Among them, one huge mansion stood out; the residence of the Archduke of Rhine, Jennard.

The size of the mansion is about half the size of the Carlin Town Hall, and as soon as the eye could see clearly the grand structure, Kains, excited to the brim, started sticking his face to the gla.s.s window of the horse-drawn carriage. Jennard, pleased by his reaction, began to tell stories of his grand mansion to him.

By the time Jennard finished talking about the structure of the building, the carriage arrived just in time. The coachman got down and opened the carriage door, in which they came out one by one. Then, as if waiting for the arrival of the carriage, the heavy door at the entrance of the mansion was opened from the inside, and from there came out a beautiful lady in her forties, accompanied by an older butler, with a smile on their faces.

"Everyone, I was waiting for you all"

"Madame Rene, It's been a long time. I'll be in your care for a while. This is Kains, my companion"

"It was nice to meet you, madame. I am called Kains"

Yui introduced Kains next to him, which in turn Kains bowed deeply towards Rene.

"Yui, Kains, I have been waiting for you to come. I was wondering, have you had your dinner yet? How about joining us for a meal?"

"Much obliged, madame. Is it alright with you?"

"Fufu, you used to eat at our home almost all of the time. Plus, aren't you guys staying for a while anyway? Suite yourselves. No need to hold back"

After hearing Yui's reply, Rene smiled then nodded towards the butler waiting next to her. Then the butler opened the door at the entrance, welcoming everyone in the mansion. Finally, Yui stepped in to the famous Jennard manor for the first time in three years.
