Chapter 639: The True Elemental Body
Translator: EndlessFantasy Translation Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation
Grimm was levitating high up in the skies.
Behind him were hundreds of Strabamite Guardians pouring in ceaselessly. There were dozens of Shadow Argus Arcane Sorcerers around him. In front of him were the Level-3 Sorceress Paku Aguda and six deans from the Shadow Argus Academy.
Within the magic interdiction boundary of the Three Rings, Grimm was in utter despair.
Battling the Sorcerers was a much more difficult task than fighting creatures from a Foreign World. Sorcerers knew best when it came to dealing with another Sorcerer!
After dodging the old Sorceress’s electrical arc, Grimm was no longer hesitant. Suddenly, the Three-headed Snake Amulet on his shoulder let out a brilliant glow. A surge of pure Mana Pool came from afar and triggered the inherited magical device.
Roar!
In an instance, Grimm’s body started to burn in a strange combination of black and gold fire. A tremendous amount of fire-elemental energy started to congregate as Grimm started turning into an elemental vortex. The firestorm was burning immensely, shooting out fire rings around the s.p.a.ce.
The elemental vortex was like the eye of the firestorm with Grimm as its center. The black and gold fire burned even more profusely and violently. A wrathful roar was heard as if a dreadlord had descended into the world. A forty over meter tall fire giant gradually stood up!
The flaming giant that burned in a hue of black and gold had a huge mouth on its chest and back. They were growling and wailing in an indiscernible voice. In its right hand was a twenty-meter long infernal spirit sword enveloped in a dark, impenetrable pool. The giant exuded a sense of might across all directions.
There was a pair of eyes that protruded on top of the giant’s head like a snail’s. One of its eyes was looking at the Level-3 Sorcerers ahead while the other looked back at the Strabamite Guardians that were pouring in.
“The inherited magical device of this academy…”
Old Sorceress Paku Aguda warped a few steps back toward some of the Great Sorcerers who had stopped dead in their tracks. She looked at the ma.s.sive flaming giant with disbelief. Her sight has penetrated the outer layer of the flaming giant and was set on Grimm, who was holding the Sabbatic Goat Staff, within the giant. She was looking at his right shoulder, at the mysterious magical device that triggered the Mana Pool of the Hydra Wrath Academy.
“Huff… the True Elemental Body!”
Mumbled a frail looking white-bearded Level-3 Sorcerer who was standing next to Dean Amirangelo when he saw the mighty flaming giant.
The Level-3 Sorcerers halted as they saw the powerful True Elemental Body that had been set off by Grimm.
The dozens of patrolling Sorcerers who rushed to their aid were not foolish enough to test the power of this flaming giant.
The giant was radiating a tremendous energy ripple. Grimm surveyed the Arcane Sorcerers and Strabamite Guardians from within the True Elemental Body like a giant overlooking the rats and c.o.c.kroaches beneath its feet.
Although the deans of the academy and the Arcane Sorcerers did not charge toward the flaming giant at first chance, it did not mean that the Strabamite Guardians would stand back and remain fearful.
From all directions, beams of death rays were being projected. The damage of these death rays was around the range of 200 to 300 points, about the level of a Level-1 Sorcerer’s spell.
The flaming giant did not even care about the low-level attacks.
Still, there were too many death rays being shot out at the same time. The rays exploded on the surface of the flaming giant’s body. There were continuous sounds of flaming eruptions from the attack.
Roar!
It appeared to be angered.
In an instant, a fiery red beam was ejected from the giant’s mouth. The flaming beam swept across the sky in a nonchalant manner, seething the clouds in the sky. Dozens of Strabamite Guardians were burnt into char as they fell off from the sky, covered in smoke. The rest of the Stabamite Guardians that were scorched by the beam dispersed.
Immediately after, the flaming giant swung its sword, spreading out a fan-shaped flame. Dozens of Strabamite Guardians turned into char as they fell off from the sky.
The flaming giant’s sinister laughter was followed by the swing of its sword…
It was a complete ma.s.sacre. A complete extermination of lower-level creatures by the higher ones, an impetuous crush caused by the huge disparity in the creatures’ levels!
There were more and more long range spells being cast upon Grimm by some of the academy’s Sorcerers. The flaming giant might be strong, but it was not strong enough to face so many real Sorcerers. In an explosive sound, the flaming giant shrunk into a fireball and crashed to the grounds.
Boom! A ten-meter wide crater was formed by the impact. The shockwave created cracks that spread in every direction.
“What’s it doing?”
The Sorcerers were puzzled.
Although the flaming giant had evaded some of the spells and nullified a portion of the flaming spells, the damage had made its flame flicker. Some of the flames even appeared to be dispersing.
Glug… glug…
The ground beneath the flaming giant’s feet began to melt and turn into a pool of magma.
The bubbling magma had actually crawled up the flaming giant’s body, turning itself into a layer of magma armor to protect the flaming giant.
“Huh!? No, it’s getting stronger!”
Amirangelo was planning to deplete the flaming giant’s mana before commencing an attack. His face turned pale.
When Grimm summoned the True Elemental Body, the giant only stood at about forty meters. In such a short period, it had grown into forty-five meters! His True Elemental Body did not weaken after the consecutive attacks of the Strabamite Guardians and academy Sorcerers. Instead, it became stronger!?
On another hand, after being reminded by Amirangelo, old Sorceress Paku Aguda’s fiery lightning eyes realized something. After careful observation, she exclaimed loudly.
“Emotion devouring, this True Elemental body has the power to devour emotions!”
Indeed!
Under the control of Grimm, the Infernal Spirit Devourer was secretly harnessing the power of animosity on the battlefield. It grew larger than before with more potential for growth.
On the battlefield, the Infernal Spirit Devourer was collecting hatred and animosity that could temporarily increase its emotional gathering abilities to make itself more powerful.
It was a powerful ability that existed for survival in the battlefield!
“We can’t drag this on, else it will become stronger! Commence attack, destroy it with all you’ve got!”
Amiriangelo flew up after giving his orders. His Nine Vine Firefly lineage allowed him to fly at an incredible speed. He flew right into the elemental vortex that was circling on top of the Sorcerer Tower. After a glimmering flash, the elemental vortex cloud turned into a huge eye that slowly spread open in the sky.
At the same time.
At the altar of the Shadow Argus Sorcerer Tower on the 98th floor, as Dean Migo’s incantations came to a high point, there was an ominous green smoke coming from the altar. The smoke was absorbed by a piece of blank canva.s.s that was hanging on the wall.
Within the shadows of illusion, a black tear appeared on the white canvas. Black ink started to pour out from the gap…
