Qin Zhi Ai eyes followed Gu Yu Sheng’s back view and only moved her eyes away after he walked into the elevator.

Qin Zhi Ai glanced at Xiao w.a.n.g, who had just undone his own seatbelt and was about to get out of the car, through the rearview mirror, and said, “Send me back home.”

After a several second pause, Qin Zhi Ai remembered that her cellphone had no power, and said. “Or, help me call a taxi.”

Xiao w.a.n.g recalled Gu Yu Sheng’s orders before he left the car, and said with a hint of distress, “I’m sure you heard what Mr Gu instructed me to do before he got off. If you leave like this, and Mr Gu finds out, I will reprimanded for sure.”

Xiao w.a.n.g was afraid that Qin Zhi Ai would insist on leaving. He hesitated for short moment before he politely advised, “Miss Liang, your clothes are all soaked. It’s still a quite distance from home. We can’t drive that fast in the rain either. It would be better to listen to Mr Gu and go upstairs to have a hot shower and change into some clean clothes. You’ll catch cold if you wear wet clothes for too long.”

Qin Zhi Ai could tell that Xiao w.a.n.g didn’t dare to act on his own and let her go. After hearing Xiao w.a.n.g's long justification, she simply gave a light nod and fell silent.

After Xiao w.a.n.g saw that Qin Zhi Ai had agreed, he immediately got out of the car and helped Qin Zhi Ai open the car door. He then gave the car keys to the bellboy and led Qin Zhi Ai into the hotel.

They rode the elevator to the highest floor. Xiao w.a.n.g guided Qin Zhi Ai along a long corridor, making quite a number of right and left turns, before stopping in front of a room door.

Xiao w.a.n.g pa.s.sed the card key to Qin Zhi Ai and pointed at the door in front of them. “Miss Liang, please go in and rest for a while. I’ll go to get you some clean clothes now.”

Qin Zhi Ai thanked him and took the room card. She didn’t open the room door straightaway and waited until Xiao w.a.n.g had turned around and entered the elevator, before turning towards the door. She took a deep breath and lifted her trembling fingers to swipe the card key to unlock the door.

As the light was off, the room was pitch-black. Inside was dead silent.

Qin Zhi Ai stood in front of the door, staring inside. She carefully surveyed inside before releasing a long breath of relief.

So Gu Yu Sheng isn’t inside this room……

She raised her hand, gave her vigorously pounding heart a pat, and entered the suite.

Qin Zhi Ai turned on the light and was just about to walk further in, when she suddenly stopped, turned around, and fastened the safety lock. After confirming that the door couldn’t be opened from the outside by attempting to pull open the door, heart at ease, she finally walked into the bathroom.

Qin Zhi Ai stripped off her dripping clothes and took a quick hot shower. Without even blow-drying her hair, she grabbed the makeup bag that she carried on her person, and put on makeup in front of the mirror at rapid speed.

Because Qin Zhi Ai was worried that Gu Yu Sheng would suddenly knock on the door and cause her heart to jump out of her throat, it was only after her lucid and elegant, pure clean face had become Liang Dou Kou’s gorgeous look in the mirror, that she finally slowed down to a normal stable speed.

Just when Qin Zhi Ai had finished putting away her makeup, the doorbell sounded.

She opened the door. It was Xiao w.a.n.g who was holding a few bags. “Miss Liang, here are your clothes.”
