“Yang Yang!” Xuxu broke free from Huo Yunting’s hand and lunged toward Lu Zhaoyang. “Have you started working? Are you tired?” the child asked.

“I am not tired.” Lu Zhaoyang put the contract doc.u.ment that she had checked beside her feet and lifted her son up in her arms. “Thank you for taking care of him,” she said to Huo Yunting with a calm voice mixed with a sense of estrangement, which bothered Huo Yunting.

Was she sending him away just like that? Huo Yunting thought.

“I have something to say to your Uncle Yunting. Could Xuxu stay in my office?” Lu Zhaoyang asked.

“Where is the office?” Little Huo Xu nodded.

“Go out and turn left. The empty table in the largest room.”

“Got it.” The little guy scampered away energetically.

He drew closer to her and she looked away only to find that the automatic curtains slowly closed. All this while, she knew that Huo Yunting’s office was highly automated.

“Stop it. I am here for work!”

“Do you mean that you will give it to me if you are not working?” Huo Yunting asked in a soft and sultry voice.

“Stop playing with words. I am not buying it!” Lu Zhaoyang subconsciously turned to look at him as her lips inadvertently rubbed his cheek. Her heart missed a beat and she quickly pursed her lips.

This unintentional action had given Huo Yunting the wrong impression that she was seducing him. Huo Yunting lowered his head and pressed his lips against hers, prying her tightly-pursed lips open and moving into her sweet mouth with his tongue. It felt soft and tasted sweet; Huo Yunting could not help but deepen his kiss. He thought it would be wasteful not to take advantage of her since she had delivered herself to him.
