“What are you taking?” Said Wen He all of sudden.

Gu Jinzhi’s hand froze as he placed the gla.s.s down, as he looked at the woman who was peeking on him through the gap of her blanket, “Supplements. Would you like some?”

“No, thanks.” And she sank back into the blanket world before falling asleep.

As ambience reached them, Gu Jinzhi quietly exited the ward.

Wen He slept straight until dusk as the nurse knocked at the door while announcing the doctor’s arrival. Wen He pulled the blanket away and got up, only to see a rather young and beautiful female doctor skilfully replacing her bandages with a cold expression. The doctor was not all cold and expressionless as right before she left. She pa.s.sed Wen He a hideous stare like she was viewing a piece of trash.
