When Onyxia laid eyes on Li Yi, she abruptly dispelled her human guise to turn into her giant dragon form. She opened her mouth and breathed a huge wall of fire, causing a large portion of players that were in the area to fall.

Li Yi used Teleport and dodged Onyxia’s blast of fire without any difficulties. He reappeared behind her.

Li Yi will not enter Battle Mode as long as the fire did not hit him. Thus the Military Advisor’s Teleport skill could be used at any time.

“Onyxia the Black Dragon Princess!”

“Oh my G.o.d, w-w-why is she here?”

“My equipment, oh G.o.d…”

The players escaped in all directions, not because they were scared of death, but because of the equipment in their Backpack. They were all here to reinforce their equipment, and if they were to die here, the drop rate of the equipment in their Backpack was much higher than what was equipped on themselves.

“Despicable mortals, all of you deserve to die!”

Onyxia flapped her wings and flew into the air, breathing scorching fire to the ground beneath her.

When Li Yi saw Onyxia attempting to escape, he summoned the Black-feathered Golden Eagle and flew into the air. The Orange Bow fired non-stop in his hand, and only then did he notice that the Onyxia before him was the same one that he had failed to make a Contract with.

Her HP had not entirely recovered, and she was still in the Low Health status!

In King of Pantheon, the rule on HP recovery for all monsters was borderline insane. No matter if it was a Boss monster or an ordinary white-named monster, the shared characteristic between the two categories was that once the battle was over, their HP would immediately recover to full health. Thus, if the players intended to take turns attacking the monsters, they cannot pause for even a second. Otherwise, all of their previous efforts would go to waste.

However, this Onyxia was quite strange. Now, she only has around 10 million HP, and a Weak symbol appeared above her head. She even looked strained while she was flying.

Li Yi guessed that Onyxia’s situation was probably due to the Soul’s Oath Scroll that was still in effect.

“Despicable mortals, I’ll never bend to your will…”

Onyxia flapped her wings harder to escape while Li Yi chased from behind. Unlike before, when Onyxia’s flying speed was extremely fast, but now, it was straining to escape from Li Yi on his Black-feathered Golden Eagle.

The Soul’s Oath Scroll was indeed powerful!

What exactly are Black-quality items?

Li Yi was silently astonished as he tailed Onyxia all the way, shooting at her whenever possible. His shots made Onyxia lose all sense of direction, and she flew randomly across the world.

Aside from Li Yi, many other players with flying mounts have joined in the chase. However, none of them led the chase, instead choosing to follow Li Yi from behind while pointing and discussing the situation among themselves.

Li Yi saw clearly that these were a group of random players that were all over Level 80. There were almost a hundred of them, and they were the exact group of people that were reinforcing their weapons in Scattered Frost City.

When Onyxia’s HP dropped to 8 million under Li Yi’s shots, the players rode their mounts harder to approach him.

“Guild Master Dark Wing, do you need our help?”

A Giant player put on a brave act and asked Li Yi, but he had attacked Onyxia before Li Yi could say a thing.

A big ball of fire slammed onto Onyxia’s head. A damage value of [-1108] appeared!

Poof!

Since the player has forcefully attacked, the non-combat mount of the Giant player was automatically dismissed. The player plummeted to the ground, shrieking.

At the same time, a Sky Vagabond slashed at Onyxia with a Windblade. The Sky Vagabond was riding on a combat mount and thus did not fall to the ground like how the previous Giant player did.

Li Yi raised his arms to shoot two arrows. Two damage numbers appeared above the Sky Vagabond’s head. Li Yi effectively killed him with just one skill.

“Who dared to attack without permission!”

LI Yi’s name above his head has turned grey. Even the Military Advisor would need to suffer the consequences of PK regulations if he killed a player from the same country. Only the king could evade all punishments from PK.

The Sky Vagabond’s body fell. All other players were stunned from Li Yi’s action.

Li Yi waved the Orange bow in his hand and growled, “All those who do not have a death wish, you better stop now. Don’t blame me for my hostility if you continue to tail me after this!”

“F*ck, did you a.s.sume that this monster belongs to you? Do you f*cking think that you’re…” A main-tank warrior was displeased and started to condemn Li YI.

Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack! Thwack!

The five consecutive shots of the Meteor Arrows cost half of Li Yi’s mana. The punk died immediately.

Li Yi will never let anyone intervene in this; this dragon belonged to him only!

“Son of a b*tch, let’s kill him!”

This group of players were not afraid at all. They used powerful skills one after another and threw everything at Li Yi in a frenzy. Most of them were on non-combat flying mounts and plummeted after attacking, while the other half failed to reach Li Yi with their attacks. Even though the Black-feathered Golden Eagle was nothing impressive to Li Yi’s eyes, but this mount could only be possessed by players with a level cap. Its speed was much faster than whatever rubbish mounts that these players had.

Li Yi has dodged all of the attacks by simply flying higher.

“Roar!”

Onyxia was a very smart one. She actually took the chance to turn around and condense another fireball in her mouth before shooting it out.

That huge fireball that shot out of Onyxia has a magnificent name – Dragon’s Fury!

The Dragon’s Fury shot through the air with amazing speed. Li Yi was too busy slaughtering the group of players to notice, and it was too late when he wanted to get out of the way.

Bang! Ssst!

Dragon’s Fury went through Li Yi’s back and came out of his front. A [-25981] damage value appeared above his head, and he was dozens of HP away from death.

Li Yi summoned the Violent Bear King with a wave of his hand, and the Violent Bear Protection has rapidly shot him up to 100,000HP.

Sadly, the poor Violent Bear could not fly. With four of its paws clawing in mid-air, it howled loud and long in fear before plummeting to the ground. It still managed to do its part well though, so all was well…

“Brothers, let’s go all out. Dark freaking Wing, huh? What a p.r.i.c.k. We’ll be G.o.ds too if we could kill him!”

“F*ck his c.o.c.ky att.i.tude d*mn it, I’ll kill him today!”

The group of players howled and roared their insults as they fought. This has completely enraged Li Yi.

These players were not in the Iron Alliance nor the Three Major Guild Alliance. They were random players who feared nothing in existence, and any attempts to intimidate them with his status would definitely have no effects.

Onyxia stopped fleeing and has banded together with the players to gang up on Li Yi. Even Li Yi was slightly stumped under this barrage of attacks.

On top of that, a temple was conveniently placed right below them. The players could immediately resp.a.w.n the moment they died, and this would form an unending cycle where the players would become as sticky as dogskin plaster to him. ¹

Li Yi exhaled a slow and long breath before he urged the Black-feathered Golden Eagle to fly to Onyxia with all its might.

Out of the blue, Li Yi activated the Brainwas.h.i.+ng Ray at Onyxia.

The Vile King’s Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm works on certain Bosses too, but its success rate was lower than 10%. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and Li Yi had no other choice but to use this skill.

Ssst ssst ssst ssst!

A white ray shot out from the Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm and had burrowed itself into Onyxia’s brain. Her eyes promptly glazed over.

At the next second, a System Notification came in.

[Brainwash success. Temporary control over target organism…]

Li Yi’s consciousness appeared in Onyxia’s body. Now, Onyxia was just like an alternate form of Li Yi that was entirely controlled by his will.

Successfully controlling a Boss using a Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm would only last for a very short time. Even if Li Yi was a Legendary Master Engineer, he could only push for the effect to last for 30 seconds.

When Shoot Until Daybreak controlled Li Yi using the Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm, Li Yi nearly died. However, that guy was too unskilled to know the proper operating methods of the Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm. Shoot Until Daybreak has used it to merely instruct Li Yi to stop moving and stand still while his teammates attacked him! He has quite literally wasted a great chance to actually kill Li Yi.

If he actually understood the ways of the Brainwas.h.i.+ng Helm, Li Yi would have died long ago.

30 seconds were enough for Li Yi to accomplish plenty of things!

Li Yi landed on the back of Onyxia. Since this was within the time of the temporary control, he did not suffer any fire damage from that.

That took only three seconds!

Onyxia took a deep breath!

Li Yi controlled Onyxia to use the Ultimate Black Dragon’s Breath.

Another five seconds pa.s.sed!

Onyxia opened her mouth to fiercely spew a fire great enough to cover the sky and the earth. The fire that was compressed from two consecutive deep breaths have exploded at the same time!

The group of shouting players was drowned in a sea of fire. Even if Onyxia was still in Weak status, that skill that needed deep inhales was the strongest skill of hers. If Onyxia’s words were used to describe it, she would say, “How could you mere mortals stand a chance against it?”

Even though the controlling time was only seven seconds, Li Yi has ordered Onyxia to fly with all her power regardless of the injury she has sustained. The speed was so quick that after the seven seconds have elapsed, the group of players was nowhere to be found.

“Despicable human, what did you do to me? Why would I fall under your control?” Onyxia was furious once she has snapped out the effects of the brainwas.h.i.+ng.

Before she regained her consciousness, Li Yi had flown away from her and kept his distance high in the sky. He has successfully evaded the Debuff damage from her.

Onyxia tilted her head upwards in anger and spat a Dragon’s Breath at Li Yi. Unexpectedly, she failed, and only a puff of black smoke came out of her mouth.

The two inhales had exhausted all of her mana. Even though she was a Boss, it was still impossible for her mana to regenerate in such a short amount of time.

“D*mn it. Human, you’re too cunning. You’ve enraged the mighty Black Dragon, and you must pay for your actions!”

Thwack! Thwack!

“You are destined to be ridden by me and to thrive under me! Stop struggling!”

Li Yi bellowed and shot Meteor Arrows again.

Onyxia was so aggravated this time that she finally stopped escaping. Instead, she began to attack Li Yi, and Li Yi quickly took this opportunity to retreat while he shot, guiding her further and further away from where they were before.

Onyxia’s HP continued to drop, and soon she only has 500,000 HP left.

“Human, I’ll never let you live!”

Onyxia’s fear overtook her anger once her HP hit the half million mark. She turned to escape again.

Li Yi chased from her back and shot sporadically at the dragon. He was hesitating again.

That d*mn Soul’s Oath Scroll, why didn’t it work? If it worked the moment it was activated, there was no need for all this fuss, no?

Could it be that he must kill her in order to loot the mount off her dead body?

Onyxia has finally reached 23231 HP. She continued to fly forward with difficulty, her eyes shone brightly with her fear of death. Roars were heard continuously from her mouth.
