“My dear holiness Aersith, can you really enter the Four Major Elemental Shrine at will?”

At the entrance of Earth G.o.d’s Shrine in the Southern Continent, Li Yi and Aersith both made their way in.

Aersith was in a frame of mind of aiding Li Yi. She, as a mercenary of the highest rank was not restricted in her appearances or movements and neither was Li Yi, the hirer has any control over.

If she was persistent in helping, Li Yi had no say in rejecting.

While Sealing Sword was in use, it required a long period of time for its body to be lit up as a whole and be filled with Elemental Presence for the sealing process to be completed.

With Aersith’s aid, the process of sealing would run smoother.

Walking into Earth G.o.d’s Shrine, the interior was built similar to Wind G.o.d’s Shrine with mural walls and a platform right in the center holding a dirt-colored divine sword.

The Earth Divine Sword!

“Leave this place and I will spare your life!”

Appearing before the Earth Divine Sword, a statue extended its arm to grab it.

This statue was a guardian to the Earth Divine Sword. Whitestone King, a demiG.o.d was no weaker than the King of Northwind.

“Territory — Nihilist!”

Aersith coldly shouted and unleashed her Territory. Though she looked a little weak, she did not seem affected being inside the shrine from the demonstration of her strength.

Her Nihilistic Territory expanded and enveloped the entire shrine in seconds.

Nevertheless, Whitestone King remained unswayed. It was gently fixated the divine sword on the ground and in an instant, the earth began to shatter and boulders were sent flying in the shrine.

“Rage of Earth!”

Dirt transformed into monsters, threatening to devour Li Yi and Aersith. The level of destruction caused by Wind Divine Sword’s level of destruction was nothing compared to the Earth Divine Sword.

Li Yi had long took out the new Sealing Sword and quietly hurled it to the ground to absorb pure Earth elemental energy.

The sealing process was a long one and while it was in progress, Li Yi could not die or, or the seal would come undone.

“Demonic Break Flute!”

Aersith blew on her flute to fling shockwave attacks at Whitestone King.

With shockwave after shockwave rippling through the atmosphere, Li Yi as a teammate was unaffected while damages in white emerged above Whitestone King’s head.

Aersith’s abilities were closed to a demiG.o.d’s and as part of the Demonic Tribe, she yielded Demonic Power that was slightly inferior to Divine Power. Hence, she was still capable of hurting a demiG.o.d.

Activating G.o.d mode, Li Yi flew into the air and initiated True Overlord Arrow.

Earth Divine Sword’s destruction were mostly ground-level so Li Yi took flight to avoid the majority of attacks.

Only, his True Overlord Arrow on Whitestone King only inflicted a fixed, single point of damage.

The STR difference between them was too far a gap…

Li Yi retrieved Wind Divine Sword to slice through the air. Producing a similar effect to the Tuhr Sacred Sword, blade auras were slashed at Whitestone King.

Before Li Yi could celebrate, Wind Divine Sword began to grow dim.

Two blade auras were enough to exhaust all of the sword’s Divine Power. It would take an extended amount of time for it to recover.

Li Yi dejectedly cursed under his breath. Stealing a glance at the other Sealing Sword on the ground, he realized the handle had already turned dirt in color and was gradually spreading towards the blade.

The sealing would be successful when the blade turned completely sallow.

After the two hits from Li Yi, Whitestone King’s HP was revealed. It only has 100 million HP and amongst all the big-named bosses, this was considered few.

Aersith continued blowing her flute with her body suspending midair. This would enable her to minimize the damage sustained from the shattering earth but did little for the incoming flying boulders.

Li Yi then noticed Aersith’s HP bar which was less than 10 million.

She was already wounded to begin with so she was battling in such a weak state.

Li Yi stretched his arm out to Aersith.

Aersith stubbornly shook her head, “No, I still can do it. I’m alright, please pay no concern.”

A boulder slammed right onto Aersith, reducing her HP by a third. 60 million left.

Li Yi was boiling over this person’s strong will, “F*ck that, it’ll be over if you’re dead!”

The Sealing Sword had absorbed more than half of its required Earth elemental energy. Li Yi only needed to hold on another two or three minutes to meet the requirement in sealing.

Unable to do anything about Aersith disobeying his orders, Li Yi went on an attack frenzy to do his best in pulling Whitestone King’s aggro.

With Li Yi and Aersith both unskilled in healing spells and with normal potions ineffective against damage caused by Divine Power, their max HPs were trimmed again and again.

Li Yi might only have 2 million HP but his quick reflexes saved him from many hits. Ten minutes later and counting, he still had over 1 million HP remaining while a contrast to him, Aersith was in a dire state.

Suffering a consistent drop, from the earliest 10 million to the current less than 200 thousand. One more hit and it was over for her.

It was too risky!

His worst fear was met. Just as Li Yi was worried about Aersith taking in another attack, a huge boulder came flying and smash her to the ground.

It was rather peculiar that the battle had not ended. Whitestone King did not show signs of leaving as it wielded Earth Divine Sword and was still in battle stance.

“Could Aersith be still alive?” Li Yi thought gleefully.

He was feeling down with Aersith dead. He might have all seven Sealing Swords but it was unknown how these swords would fare against a real G.o.d. Aersith was different. She held a Demonic divine weapon that could cancel out Divine Power — an item Li Yi was desperate for.

If Aersith died, it was not just the divine weapon but that the next Aersith that sp.a.w.ned would not recognize him.

Just as Li Yi’s mind was swinging into full gear, the boulders holding Aersith down exploded open. Aersith, whose HP had recovered to 10 million, flew out and disappeared from the shrine.

So she was not dead but she had now… Fled!

Earth Divine Sword flew back to the platform, resuming the shrine as it was.

Li Yi answered, “You don’t know any healing skills and resurrection after death is not a skill of yours. This is the work of your divine weapon?”

Aersith slowly got up and nodded, “You guessed it right.”

“A resurrecting divine weapon of the Demonic Tribe would not be the same as my Sacramental Stone. I think you must have paid a price to resurrect with the divine weapon.”

Aersith sighed, “You’re right again.”

“Tell me the name of your divine weapon.”

Aersith shook her head, “I’m sorry, I can’t…”

“Then you should head in and rest.”

Li Yi waved at Aersith. This was an order for a mercenary to disperse by force.

Aersith turned into a tiny statue before flying into Li Yi’s hands.

With the second Sealing Sword a success, Li Yi now had two weapons that carried genuine Divine Power.

Only, since he has not changed cla.s.s to Blademaster, he could not use two weapons at once. He has to take turns in carrying one sword at a time.

“Where to next?” Aersith in tiny statue form asked.
