Dong Xuebing kept his injured left hand in his pocket and looked at the office building and the staff on their way to work. At a football match, he met w.a.n.g Shen’s current wife, Xu Yan (same p.r.o.nunciation as Xu Yan). But he had not met w.a.n.g Shen before. He does not know what he looks like. He should not be among the crowd. He is the head of a department in the City Bureau and should have arrived early to prepare for the meeting. He might be in his office now.

Tan Limei looked at Dong Xuebing as she chatted with her colleague. She was worried.

“Xiao Tan? Director Tan?”

The few guards noticed Dong Xuebing when he stood outside of the entrance. They had not met him before. A few staff, who were on their way to work, glanced at him for standing outside.

“Who are you?” A guard from the side gate looked at Dong Xuebing.

Dong Xuebing ignored him and continued to look at the people there.

The guard frowned. “Do you have an entry permit or a work pa.s.s?”

Dong Xuebing glanced at the guard from the corner of his eye. “I got no work pa.s.s and entry permit.”

“Heh…” The guard was amused. This guy was talking back to him in his territory. Does he know where he is? He waved Dong Xuebing away. “Stand away from here.” The Bureau address is confidential and cannot allow outsiders to stand at the gate.

Dong Xuebing did not move. “How can I look for someone if I stand away?”

“Who are you looking for?” The guard looked at Dong Xuebing. “Huh?”

Dong Xuebing calmly replied. “I am looking for w.a.n.g Shen. Has he arrived?”

This guy is young and speaks in an arrogant tone. “Why are you looking for Director w.a.n.g?”

Dong Xuebing sneered. “Do I need to tell you why I am looking for him? Call him to come out. I can go in to look for him, too.”

The guard replied coldly. “Sorry, outsiders are not allowed inside.”

A skinny guard added. “Director w.a.n.g has a meeting soon and cannot come to meet you. Come back in the afternoon. We will try to help you contact him.”

Dong Xuebing shrugged his shoulders. “That means you are asking me to go in.”

The guard raised his voice. “You cannot enter! Leave!”

Dong Xuebing ignored the guards and limped towards the gate with one hand in his pocket.

The guards were speechless when they saw Dong Xuebing was injured. This guy thinks too highly of himself. This is the City State Security Bureau. How can you enter to look for someone without a permit or work pa.s.s?

“Stop!”

“Stop there!”

“Who allowed you to enter?”

The two guards rushed forward and blocked Dong Xuebing with their bodies.

Two other guards standing by the main gate frowned as they looked at the commotion.

The commotion attracted many people. Those State Security staff and Leaders turned and looked at Dong Xuebing as if he were an idiot.

Dong Xuebing does not mind. He looked at the guards. “I have some personal matters to settle with w.a.n.g Shen. This has nothing to do with you all. Step aside. I am going in.”

The few guards rolled their eyes.

Do you think we will step aside because you told us to?

Dong Xuebing can confirm w.a.n.g Shen had arrived from the guard’s reply. He should be in the office building, and Dong Xuebing does not need to wait outside. He does not care about the rules or regulations when he is mad. City State Security Bureau? Who cares?

A guard had taken out his baton.

The other guard placed his hand on his gun. But he did not draw it.

“I am at my workplace, the City State Security Bureau. Do you know what you are talking about?”

“You don’t know anything. If he is mad, he dares to break in to the City Bureau by force!”

“Break into our City Bureau? Haha… let him come.”

“No one can stop him if he goes there.”

“Is there anything else?”

“It will be too late for you to run if he gets there.”
