Chapter 59 The Duel

Diandian’s Territory Awareness was very strong. Seeing the sudden intrusion of another chick, it was immediately alerted and started making threatening chirping noises. And the one from Little Rat’s home was also not some little thick to be trifled with. The feathers on their bodies immediately started to stand up. A duel that was going to decide who would be the big brother in this area instantly broke out.

Both chicks did not have c.o.c.ks...o...b..yet. Therefore, this was just a Veggie Chick(AKA: newbie) pecking fight!

The fights between chickens were very common in the village. So those children were not surprised. They even cheered loudly outside the fence. If the observers were replaced with adults, it was exactly like those illegal c.o.c.kfighting gambling scene.

Surely, the one that was cheered for by most of the children was Diandian. However, although both chicks were similar in size, and Diandian was a chick of the bellicose lineage, Diandian grew up in a greenhouse and hade no brothers or sisters to play with. Therefore, it was no match for Big Yellow of the Little Rat family, in fighting experiences. So after holding out for a few rounds, the signs of Diandian started to lose the fight began to appear. It was crushed by Big Yellow and being chased around everywhere in the training ground.

Seeing what happened to Diandian, all the children began to blame Little Rat as if they were defending their idol. Little Rat felt wronged. Who knows they would fight each other when they just met each other. He also wanted Big Yellow to become as smart as Diandian. Great(sarcastic), now they had completely become enemies to each other now.

Diandian sought help from Jack Mouse. However, Jack chose not to help it. There were no signs of him wanting to get involved at all. Mounts often needed to follow the adventurers and help them in the fights sometimes. Losing was not a problem, and the only problem was scared to fight. Even if Jack was an experienced animal trainer, there was no guarantee that he would be able to train every Mount Seeds to become an excellent mount.

The helpless Diandian could only choose to fight back bravely. However, its courage could not fill its power gap. So its fightback was futile. Fortunately, Zhou Yu noticed the noise outside. Seeing Diandian was on the ground, he quickly came over and picked it up to check its injury.

Luckily, it was just minor injuries, and it should be able to recover in two days.

Big Yellow was also taken away by Little Rat. It was clearly the winner, however, it fled away ignominiously. Nowadays, it was the appearance that decided everything, and even the animal world was no exception.

Seeing children left, Zhou Yu criticized Jack why he did not help Diandian in the fight. However, Jack scornfully said that it was Diandian’s training, and why Zhou Yu had to get involved? Such a good actual combat opportunity was wasted by Zhou Yu. Jack even demand Zhou Yu to bring over Big Yellow next time.

Jack’s mount training was truly Spartan.

Zhou Yu, who was counter-criticized by Jack, couldn’t find a single word to talk back. So he could only leave with Diandian dispiritedly. In the resp.a.w.ning point of Mount’s food, sometime, would appear wound medicines. According to Jack’s instructions, mixing the medicine in the feed to feed Diandian would help it to recover very quickly.

Over the following period of time, Diandian began the cruel systematic training like the training of the new recruits in the military dramas, and Jack was the ruthless squad leader. He trained the newbie recruit Diandian until it completely pa.s.sed out on the training ground. And the most tragic thing was that there was only one recruit. Diandian could not even find any partners, who it could share difficulties with.

However, in the eyes of children, Diandian’s performance was so incredible. Other people’s chicks only liked to go through gra.s.s searching for insects. But Brother Yu’s chick was as different as him. It liked the training. Moreover, no one had actually seen Brother Yu urged Diandian to go to the training ground. Diandian always took the initiative to do all sorts of training.

What kind of chick was that?!

Battle chick? Special Operations chick?

Little Rat began to worry about his Big Yellow. Facing such a persevering battle chick, the advantages of Big Yellow may not last long. It was already not smarter than Diandian. Now that its physique might be surpa.s.sed by Diandian in the future. The t.i.tle of Chick King would eventually be taken over by Diandian as well.

So Little Rat also planned to train Big Yellow. However, this disappointing fellow couldn’t understand anything. Every time when he wanted to train it, it would run around searching for insects. Even if he used rice to lure it to do something, after it ate rice, it would quickly run away to search for more insects. Unable to bear seeing there was no progress, Little Rat scolded twice and was ready to start using the Stick And Carrot training mode. However, Big Yellow seemed to have understood him this like. It ran away and hid somewhere that little Rat could not find it.

‘Such a disappointing chick! Let me see how you are going to defeat Diandian in the future!’

The “curse” of Little Rat came true very quickly. About a month later, Brother Yu asked him to bring over Big Yellow again.

This peak confrontation attracted many children. Watching Diandian trained itself very hard every day, of course, they all hoped that it could turn defeat into victory. So after school, children all ran to Brother Yu’s house and were ready to watch the fight.

Even Teacher Hu Yuan was also alerted.

Recently, Mr. Hu noticed that the way that his students wrote their diaries seemed to have changed a lot. When he read them, it felt so refres.h.i.+ng as if many of his students had been suddenly enlightened spiritually. But there was one thing that was very strange. The protagonist of their diaries was all about a small chick that was raised by Zhou Yu.

In the students’ diaries, the small chick was way too smart than an ordinary chick. After losing a battle to another chick, it began to train itself very hard every day. With the strong physique, the tempered spirit, it prepared itself to challenge the chick that had defeat it before.

‘Hmmm… are those kids sure that they were writing about a chick?’

Mr. Hu still felt that his teaching method was very successful. Those kids even know how to use hyperbole and personification as rhetorical devices in writing. At the same time, he was also attracted by the story. Knowing that Zhou Yu had sent a challenge letter to Zhou Hao’s Big Yellow, and the time was set to be tomorrow afternoon, after school, he himself was also somewhat looking forward to the duel. Of course, fighting was not good. The main focus should be on the fearless and hardworking spirit when facing difficulties, of which he must let those children know first.

On the day of the duel, there were many children in the yard. Even Little Rat also couldn’t figure it out why there were so many children here. Clearly, he had only told his best friend Zhou Xi about this. But why it looked like as if the whole school knew about it.

After a period of observation, he found that the training of Diandian was solid. It was not a play at all. Its fighting power clearly increased significantly. Comparing it with Big Yellow, although Big Yellow was invincible at his home, when fighting with Diandian, it was very hard to tell now that who would be the winner.

“They are here, here!”

What greeted Little Rat the first was a group of students, who couldn’t wait for the fight to begin. They were even more excited than watching movies in Zhou Yu’s yard. There were chairs already laid out outside the fence. And it was probably done by them as well.

Seeing such a big crowd, Little Rat was slightly nervous, and Big Yellow was even worse. It almost broke free from Little Rat’s arms.

Only after entering the training ground did Big Yellow finally become quiet and started to wander around. As the big brother of this area, of course, it had to act calm and collect before the fight. However, it did not expect that it would meet its challenger very soon.

Walking out from Knight’s Mount House, Diandian was no longer the same chick as one month ago.

However, there was one thing that was like a month ago. It was that both chick’s feathers quickly stood up as soon as they met each other. They instantly put on the fighting posture without anyone urging them. Actually calling them chicks was not appropriate now. Because they all had c.o.c.ks...o...b.. on top of their heads. Though it was not very obvious.

Anyway, let’s begin the fight!
