Swiftly, they rushed forward and bent their knees. "Welcome, creator of the universe! And to you, master of heavenly law!"

"Cough!" Di Hao started to cough.

Alerted, Gu Xijiu woke up to check on him. She looked at him and quickly gave him a quick pat on the back. "Baby, what is wrong? How did you choke yourself in your sleep?"

Di Hao was finally able to catch his breath. Feeling overwhelmed, he rushed into his mother's arms and started muttering to himself, "Mother, I am so glad you are well and alive."

Bewildered, Gu Xijiu did not know whether to cry or to laugh. Lovingly, she rubbed his head. "Did you dream of me dying?"

Di Hao said in all seriousness, "Mother, you will live on for all eternity. Death will never occur to you."

"You and your sweet mouth," Gu Xijiu teased. She began yawning and looking at the sky.

The sky was still dark, and there was no sign of any light on the paper-lining of the window.

"All right, let's get some more sleep." Gu Xijiu patted gently on his body before closing her eyes with another yawn.

Strangely, she had enough sleep, but she still felt tired. In fact, she had been sleeping a lot lately.

It did not take long for Gu Xijiu to fall asleep again. Di Hao was tired, but he could not sleep.

Troubled, he stared at his mother blankly in contemplation.

In her previous life, she had treated Fan Qians.h.i.+ very well. She must have set up some kind of spell in the Forbidden Land of G.o.d before her immortalization so that Fan Qians.h.i.+ could emerge as her successor and become the next creator of the universe. 

Judging from the consecutive events that occurred after her immortalization, it seemed that Fan Qians.h.i.+, Di Fuyi, and the rest of the people must have forgotten about Gu Xijiu as the Divine Lord.

Helplessly, he closed his eyes and heaved a sigh. If he still had his original power, finding out about the place was not a problem at all. 

The place had been around for more than thousands of years, but it would be challenging to locate the site solely based on what he saw from the playback images.

Perplexed, he was surprised that he got to experience Fan Qians.h.i.+'s story by the end of the playback, as that was a part that he never asked for. It was a strange encounter indeed.

Fan Qians.h.i.+ must have turned his love into hatred, but that part of his painful memory was erased once he stepped foot into the blinding golden light from the Forbidden Land of G.o.d. How did he remember to hate Di Fuyi and Gu Xijiu?

Perhaps, not all was erased.

After all, the man was still eager to replace Di Fuyi, so numerous plots were made to take his enemy's life away once and for all.

A thought suddenly inspired Di Hao. Perhaps, the reason he could continue watching the story despite Gu Xijiu's demise was that Fan Qians.h.i.+ was tracing the same dream at the same time, which allowed Di Hao to trace his part of the story as well.

He looked at his hands and was impressed by his remarkable tracing ability.
