Chapter 2587: The Seed

I looked at the lord of gla.s.s and saw how he was trying to pull the art seal back into himself to break the connection and when he was unable to do that, he tried to self-destruct his soul, but he was unable to do that as well.

He is connected to his student and aware of what is happening to her, seeing her body collapsing every second.

"Micheal, kill me. If this continues, Vivian will die." He screamed at me umpteenth time, and it seemed like it was the only option I had, but still, I hesitated.

He is the man who protected the human race for four thousand years; killing him, even with his own permission, seemed too cruel. If I did that, I would not be able to live with myself, but if I did not do that, then not only the lord of gla.s.s will die, but also lady Vivian, and that is unacceptable.

Seeing the body of lady Vivian which is splitting from every apart, both internally and externally, I finally made my decision. Even if it kills me from inside, I will do it; it is best for the race.

'Wait, that const.i.tution seed we collected three days ago might help in this condition," said my clone from my core, just when I was about to pull a trigger and kill the lord of gla.s.s.

I instantly remember the seed it is talking about; it is from the King cla.s.s powerhouse that had just been admitted into the project. 

He had a strange but amazing const.i.tution, a level 9 at that; I had been keeping an eye on him for months since I studied his scan a few months ago, and when he leveled to stage three days ago, I collected the const.i.tutional seed.

My clone was right; that seed might really help.

I would not dare to use the seed when the breakthrough is not happening, but the method that Lady Vivian had used does give me hope to merge it with the const.i.tution, and if it worked, as my clone and I think, there is a chance that it will help in stopping the collapse of her body.

If it did not, it would kill her in a horrific way, and even the lord of gla.s.s would die.

"Lady Vivian, I have a way to save you, but it is very dangerous and might even bring some physical changes to you that you might not like," I said, and for a second, I did not receive an answer, which is not surprising considering the pain she is in.

"Will it save my teacher?" she asked; her voice was straining, but one could feel her strong will through it.

"It will depend on the success and your efforts," I replied.

"Tell me what I have to do," she asked, and I directly sent a data packet to her; it is much faster than talking.

"This! How can this be possible?" She asked with a voice full of shock. "It did not matter. Since it is the choice I have to save my teacher, I will do it, even if it is at the edge of impossible," She added before I could answer her.

Hearing that, I did not waste any time; though the string I had connected to her for emergencies, I sent her the const.i.tution seed, along with the data packet.

"I will begin!" she said as she read the data packet.

A second pa.s.sed, and I saw her stuffing the const.i.tution seed into her const.i.tution center before taking a huge amount of mirror energy with her art energy and circulating. 

Doing something like it will immediately expedite the collapse of her body, but it is a necessity.

Her body begins to collapse even faster, and at the same time, her const.i.tution's center rejects the const.i.tution seed and tries to repel it, but it stuck it like a superglue, not moving away even an inch.

Still, it is not enough, and given the power of the const.i.tution, it will be able to repel it within a few minutes, which I hope would be enough for us to get into the process of merging or even finish; it all depends on the efforts of lady Vivian.

Three seconds pa.s.sed, and tug of war continued between them; something happened, one circulation finished, and the defenses of the const.i.tution weakened for a moment; as it resealed the strengthening energy and using this chance, the const.i.tution seed seeped inside the const.i.tution.

It was not able to go much far, but still, it was able to seep inside the const.i.tution.

Three more seconds pa.s.sed, and the lady Vivian once again finished the circulation and const.i.tution weekend for a moment to release the strengthening energy and seeped even further. The const.i.tution retaliated but wasn't able to do anything.

The const.i.tution seed entered deeper and deeper into the const.i.tution with each circulation, and it began to have an easier time heading deeper as the body collapsed further.

Two minutes have pa.s.sed, and the condition of the lady Vivian has become grave; in a few seconds, it would reach a stage where it will not be able to come back and, within a minute, collapse fully and die, as unlike lord of gla.s.s, her soul is strong enough to survive without a body.

Still, lady Vivian kept circulating despite each circulation, expediting her end.

BOOM!

Another circulation of energy finished, and a loud boom rang out through lady Vivian's deepest part. The const.i.tution seed had reached its source and dipped inside, and soon its power merged with the const.i.tution, and changes began to appear.

Her body immediately became tensile by 20%, and its defenses against energy increased by a quarter, but these are only side benefits. The real benefits begin to appear as Lady Vivian continues circulating.

Lady Vivian seemed to have noticed the changes, and she began to double the amount of energy for each circulation. She did not seem to care about the horrifying pain or pressure it was putting on her soul; she was just circulating as fast as she could with as much energy as she could.

BANG!

It had been barely a minute; the const.i.tution had merged when another explosion rang out from above, and instantly, the energy more than doubled.

"Sister!" 

I heard another scream from behind me, and it was not the first time; I had heard her screams. She has been doing that constantly; it is clear that the bond between the two sisters is very deep.

"Grand Commander, please calm down; lady Vivian is fine," I said. I lied, she is not fine, but if she continued circulating such crazily, she would be.

BANG!

A few seconds later, after the second, another hole opened, and the mirror energy became even denser, creating even more pressure on Lady Vivian; even I felt pressure and summoned my defensive method to ward off the mirror energy.

BANG BANG BANG!

Time pa.s.sed, and in the ten minutes, six more holes appeared in the gate to the mirror world, pouring a colossal amount of energy. If I had used any lower-level resources, the whole thing would have collapsed long ago.

Still, things are bad, and Lady Vivian is constantly circulating more energy at every round just so she can remain alive.
