The Universe Conspired For Us To Meet 157 Military Hospital

"M-Madam…" He began sobbing.

Jayne's blood ran cold on hearing Daniel West. "Spill it out Daniel!! Where is my husband?"

Daniel West composed himself before he began speaking. He shakily started off, "Ma'am, we were on a mission… Boss is hurt and is at the hospital right now," is all that Daniel West could manage telling.

"W-What? What did you just say?" Jayne's hands began trembling vigorously dropping the receiver.

Richard Roy who was standing next to Jayne didn't really understand what was happening. He caught her just before she lost her balance. "Jayne!" He exclaimed.

Jayne's dad rushed by her side by then and carried her to the couch.

Richard Roy picked up the receiver, "Dan? What on earth is happening? Explain to me right now!"

Daniel West narrated everything to Richard Roy.

Richard Roy had faith in his son, "I'll be coming right away."

Mrs Caroline Roy grabbed her husbands sleeves, "Where is my son????" Her eyes welled up.

"You take care of Jayne. I'll be right back." Richard Roy knew that the ladies couldn't bear to listen to the entire incident.

Jayne protested, "Dad, I'm fine. I want to come along."

Richard Roy couldn't deny. In the end all of them ended up going to the Military hospital.

Daniel West was waiting at the entrance. He escorted them to the operating room. The procedures were still going on. Hence, n.o.body were permitted. They all ended up waiting out sue the operating room.

Caroline Roy was uncontrollably sobbing with Sona Bhat. Richard Roy and Arya Bhat went to speak to the officers who were with Ronnie at the time of the incident.

Jayne sat in a quiet corner trying to calm herself down, 'Jayne! This is the time you've got to stay strong. How can your man bear to leave you alone on this journey? He was the one who came into your life as your saviour and added meaning to your life. Stay strong! Stay positive!' She told herself and squeezed her eyes shut….

All the memories right from the day she opened her eyes at the tribal hut to when she last saw him at his office a few hours ago, flashed across her mind like a movie… Ronnie's love for her, his billion dollar smile, his piercing, mesmerising gaze, the way he'd hold her when they danced, all the lovely moments they shared…

Once again she lost it as her eyes welled up with tears and began rolling down her cheeks. She liked heavenward and prayed, "Dear G.o.d, please don't be this rude to us… Please give me back my husband… I don't remember my past but in the recent times, I've never asked you for anything… I don't even want anything else.. I would even trade my life in exchange for my husband… this life is nothing without him… Make him get well soon…"

Just then the door to the operating room flew open and the surgeon walked out. "Do we have any attendants for Mr Ronnie Roy?"

The ladies rushed towards him. Jayne spoke up, "I'm Mrs Ronnie Roy. This is Ronnie's mother and this is my mother... Doctor. How's my husband?"

"h.e.l.lo Mrs Ronnie. I'm the Lead Surgeon, Dr William Scott. Please come with me. I'd want to explain your husband's condition." Dr William Scott introduced himself.

"Sure doctor." They all followed Dr William Scott.

Dr William Scott asked the ladies to sit and began speaking to Jayne, "Mrs Ronnie, your husband has sustained a serious head injury. When he was brought to the hospital, he was bleeding profusely and his condition was very critical. We immediately operated on him."

"But then, he has lost too much blood. We don't have enough blood stocked up at the moment. It'll be re-filled in three days. We obviously can't wait till then... So can you arrange for some donors at the earliest? The sooner the better… Someone among you.. your family here..." His voice sounded a sense of urgency.

Jayne answered him, "Which is my husband's blood group Doctor?"

"It's AB+ve." Dr Scott answered.

"Doctor my in-laws are both Diabetics. They won't be able to donate their blood. I don't know my blood grouping." Jayne explained.

"Not to worry. Let's get it checked. Perhaps even your mother could be a potential donor." Dr Scott suggested.

"My mother is slightly anaemic and is under treatment while my father has Low blood pressure. The only potential donor amongst us is me. Please check my blood grouping." Jayne asked.

Dr Scott then called on the intercom. "Nurse, we've a potential donor. Get her blood group checked please."

A few minutes later a nurse came in and asked Jayne to go with her.

The nurse took Jayne to the laboratory. She p.r.i.c.ked a needle and smeared her blood on the testing gla.s.s slide.

She asked her to wait outside for the results.
