Virat choked on the cigarette smoke on hearing Sanvi's final words, 'Doctor… conformed…. Pregnant….'

Sanvi coughed because the cigarette smoke was filling up the room and was suffocating her.

Virat felt like the entire world came crumbling down. He wasn't prepared to hear this…

But on realising that even Sanvi was coughing, he involuntarily stubbed the cigarette and threw it away.

"I'm- I'm sorry!" He stuttered and dashed to the kitchen to get a gla.s.s of water for Sanvi. He also opened the windows to let in fresh air.

He came back and gave the gla.s.s of water to Sanvi. "I'm sorry Sanvi. I shouldn't have smoked here. Are you alright?" He patted her back gently.

Sanvi accepted the gla.s.s of water and nodded.

Virat sat next to her on the couch and once again took her hands, "Sanvi, you don't understand how much Maya and I loved each other. It's simply not the right time for me to let go of her after I finally found her now. You very well know, how painstakingly we'd searched her everywhere. I at least want to try to get back my love."

Sanvi choked on hearing Virat's words. Yet, she cautioned him, "Okay Virat, tell me one thing, what do you think are your chances? How sure are you that you'll get back your Maya? Considering the fact that she's not Virat's Maya but Ronnie Roy's Jayne Roy?"

"Jayne Roy! Jayne Roy! Jayne Roy! Enough with this Jayne Roy drama… I wanted to reveal everything this evening. Even now my blood boils to think of how intimate she was with her husband!" Virat balled his fists and slammed it hard on the arm of the couch. His expression hardened.

Sanvi patted Virat's back, "Virat you need to control yourself. Because, uncertainty is life… we never knew that we would lose Maya on that fateful day. Perhaps, if we knew it, maybe we wouldn't have let her go at all. The entire world thinks she's dead.. But to our good luck, she's alive but with her memories lost. She has an entire new life and a new ident.i.ty now…"

Virat pondered over Sanvi's words. Irrespective of how he felt, he would always listen to Sanvi and value her words.

Sanvi realised that Virat was intently listening to her. She continued, "Likewise, didn't you see the chemistry between the two? Maya is head over heels in love with Ronnie Roy… Have you observed the way she looks to Ronnie Roy? Her love for him is so evident. Every bit of her radiates Ronnie's love."

"I'm telling this only because I've seen your times with her too… but then, never once have I seen this love for you in her eyes… That's the difference Virat…" Sanvi explained.

Virat frowned. This was exactly what he'd observed too. In their years of love, she had never looked at him the way she looks at Ronnie. She hugs him, kisses him, doesn't care about the world when he's around...Even Virat himself wondered about his Maya's unusual behaviour.

But then he didn't want to show it in front of Sanvi. Hence, he put up a bold front, "Everything you tell is in fact true… but I don't really care about them Sanvi… You don't know how it feels to love a person and let go of him/her… you have been with me for hardly a few months Sanvi, yet you aren't able to let me go...In that case imagine me, I've been in love with her for years… how can I let her go Sanvi?

"For G.o.d's sake... The situations are different Virat… I'm pregnant with your child!" Sanvi shouted yet again.

Each time Sanvi mentioned about pregnancy, he felt like lightning strike right past him. This untimely pregnancy had tied down his hands and further widened the distance between Maya and him..
