At that moment the man beside him tapped his left shoulder. Ronnie was pulled into reality. He slowly walked into the hut.
When he went closer, he saw that the wounded area was smeared with a green herbal paste and the blood had ceased to flow. Ronnie felt a little better that the blood flow had stopped. But he was still worried that she had no conscious.
He frowned and looked at the medical pract.i.tioner who tried to convey that she's alright now but she needs time to wake up since the wound is very deep. Rest a.s.sured her life is out of danger.
Ronnie tried very hard to understand the medical pract.i.tioner and when he fully deciphered the details, he let out a sigh of relief and sat next to her.

They were very happy to see the husband so worried for his wife. The love in his eyes didn't need words to speak. It was all visible. His love for her broke the language barrier between him and the people of the tribe.

But the woman didn't leave him. The others too joined in persuading him to drink up soup. They showed in sign language that only if he eats he'll get the strength to protect her. He later drank some of it. Then he took out another pair of fresh white s.h.i.+rt and black pant from his backpack changed into them since he was totally drenched in the rain and rested next to the wall beside her.
Ronnie realised that he was with the Sherpa tribe of the Himalayas. The people of the tribe had accepted both of them as one among them. The Chief of the tribe made sure everybody took very good care of their guest. It was their custom to treat their guests with utmost respect and look after their every needs.
Two weeks had pa.s.sed by but the girl hadn't got back her conscious. She remained in the same position. Ronnie started to worry. He thought it would be useless to waste his time here. He wanted to take her out to the city, to the best hospital and get her treated.
Just then, Ronnie saw that she moved her fingers...
