Back here, Virat came back to his dormitory nearly after a month. He'd searched for Maya at all possible places but in vain. Nevertheless he didn't give up on her. He had left all his contact details to inform him if they'd get any clue on Maya.

He freshened up and slept. Due to the journey he was very tired. Hence, he slept for longer than usual. When he woke up the next day, it was already noon. Suddenly he came up with an idea. He got ready and left to his cla.s.s.

Virat directly went in the direction of the cultural club. Maya was the leader of the cultural club. So he thought of asking Maya's teammates about her whereabouts.

A tall, slender girl was standing near the window. Her inky black hair was left loose and it swayed in the direction of the cool breeze coming through the window. Her one arm was holding the grills of the window while the other hand was inside a sling bag. It looked like probably she too was hurt during the floods since she had a sling around her arm. 'Oh she's fractured her hand,' Virat frowned and walked faster towards her

"h.e.l.lo Sanvi!" Virat called her while walking towards her.

Sanvi was Maya's best friend, her roommate and most trusted friend. Since they both danced well, they were a part of the cultural club.

Sanvi turned behind and saw Virat. Immediately she tensed her shoulder and her eyes s.h.i.+mmered with tears. "M-M-Maya" She stuttered fighting back her sobs.

Virat came forward and patted her shoulder. "Calm down Sanvi. Let's sit somewhere and talk."

Sanvi nodded and they walked to the cafeteria. They chose a corner seat which was least disturbed. Sanvi ordered coffee for herself while Virat ordered a cheese sandwich and coffee for himself since he came there directly and hadn't eaten anything else. He was feeling very hungry too.

Virat drew in a long breath and looked at Sanvi, "Okay Sanvi so tell me everything which happened. Right from when you guys left here." He popped his chin on his hand.

Sanvi set her palms down flat on the table and leaned forward. "After you dropped us off at the railway station the other day, our journey was smooth. We played and danced all night. It was Maya who initiated this and none of us slept a wink on our way. It was one memorable journey." She smiled remembering their journey.

Since Virat knew about Maya he took envisioned everything she would've done and he too giggled and shook his head.

She continued, "When we reached there it was around 6 AM. It was very cold unlike our pleasant winter mornings. It was freezing cold there. We all wore our sweaters and jackets. The University had arranged transport facilities to pick the students coming from various parts of the country."

"Hence we easily went to the University campus. They had arranged our lodging facilities as well. Obviously there too, Maya and me were staying together. We freshened up and rested for the day since our dance compet.i.tion was in the evening." Sanvi explained.

Then, their order was served. So, Sanvi picked up her coffee and took a sip while Virat took a bite of his sandwich.

Sanvi went on to explain further, "That night our dance compet.i.tion went on very well. We won the first place too. We took our awards, had dinner and slept."

Virat interrupted, "Oh yes! I heard you people won many prizes. Go on. Tell me more."

Sanvi gave a half smile and continued explaining further, "The next day in the morning Maya had her solo performance. She sang your favourite song playing her guitar. Her soulful singing mesmerised the entire crowd. Her love for you could be felt through that song"
