"My dear husband, who are you talking to?"
Suddenly Ronnie heard a sweet female voice addressing him as a husband asking him a question which left him slightly shocked. His eyes widened.
"Wi-wi-wife? You are awake? Come over here." Ronnie said to her after recovering from the shock.
Jayne walked out of the house to the two men sitting. Ronnie couldn't help but look at the beautiful woman walking towards him who'd just now addressed him as husband. His heart filled with warmth. His eyes now lit up like a Christmas tree.
Unknowingly he stood up and walked up to her and held out his hand. She gracefully put her hand on his and walked towards Da Nuru.
Da Nuru looked at the perfect couple in front of him. He couldn't help but admire them in spite of their very casual dress and worn out looks.
Ronnie introduced Jayne to him, "Da Nuru, meet my wife Jayne."
She smiled and did a "namaste" to him.
Then Ronnie turned towards Jayne and said, "Jayne this is Da Nuru. He is the Mo couple's son. He's living in the capital city to earn a living. It's his wedding celebration hence he's returned back here."
Jayne congratulated him, " All the best for your future life Brother Nuru!" She gave him the thumbs up.
Da Nuru exclaimed, "Thanks sister Jayne. You both are the special invitees. I'm so glad you both are here."
Ronnie then remembered, "After your wedding I hope you can help us get back to the city? We don't belong here. Now that she's out of danger and can travel, please help us travel back."
"Of course brother. I will. Your family must be tensed for not hearing anything from you two. We'll get back to the city after my wedding. By then even sister will get enough rest to travel back with us." Da Nuru replied to him.
"My husband and I are forever indebted to you brother. 'Thanks' is merely a word I can't thank you enough for what you've done to us. Today if I'm alive today it's all because of you" Jayne got emotional while she said this.
Da Nuru comforted Jayne, "We consider visitors as G.o.d here. We don't send them empty-handed. We make sure we make them happy before they leave. So it's totally fine Jayne sister. You don't have to get emotional for this." He smiled satisfactorily.
Ronnie couldn't bear to see his wife cry. He wanted to distract her from these thoughts. He said, "Is there any special meaning to your name brother?"
"Oh yes brother. There is a custom here to name every baby on the name it was born. Taking my name as an example, Da means the day I was born. I was born on a Thursday hence my name starts from the day I was born. Sherpa is the name of our tribe. While Nuru is just my name." Da Nuru went on to explain to the couple.
He continued, "Everything may seem bizarre to you brother. Tomorrow's wedding celebration is something which you can look forward to brother."
Jayne gushed, "Oh we both are excited to take part in the wedding brother."
She looked very happy. This was probably the first time Ronnie saw Jayne happy and smiling. A feeling of warmth spread in his heart. He immediately thought, 'Just wait my Jayne until we get back. I will make sure all your days will be filled only with happiness.'
Then the couple excused themselves and left Da Nuru to meet him later.
"So, my husband....?"
