"Kyle, something doesn't feel right, I think Modesty should stay here."
Her dad looked at her mom and kissed her on the forehead.
"You know honey that I can never say no to you. If you feel Modesty should stay then she will stay. You know Jin is always glad to be around Modesty. I really need to have a talk with that boy."
Her parents were smiling and laughing. Modesty started to smile when the memory started turning cloudy, then the memory changed to some men in masks holding guns. The men were running into their house followed by a man she had never seen, and her uncle? Her father was yelling and telling Modesty to run. Modesty shot out of her seat and stared at Su Jin Wei with horror on her face, then suddenly her world turned black and she fainted.
Su Jin Wei caught Modesty before she hit the ground.
"Bring her to your room."
His mother said. Su Jin Wei walked out of the living room and down the hall to his room carrying Modesty princess style.
"Do you want to call a doctor?"
Su Jin Wei shook his head.
"Not yet."
He then put Modesty gently on the bed, removing her slippers, Su Jin Wei didn't know what exactly happened. But, he was determined to find out when she woke up. Mother Su walked in with a cloth, a bowl of water, and some food for Su Jin Wei, he hadn't eaten even the little snacks she had out since coming to the house. She wanted to make sure he didn't make himself sick trying to take care of Modesty.
She didn't even ask him to come out of the room. She knew that he would never leave Modesty.
"I think she remembered something but it was too much for her."
Su Jin Wei nodded his head. "Father and I have set out to destroy the Zhuangs if she can tell me any more information I will destroy all who have hurt her."
Mother Su touched his arm before walking out of the room.
"Let me know when my daughter in law wakes up."
She said over her shoulder.
It took half the night but Modesty finally woke up. She had a bad migraine and didn't want to open her eyes right away until she felt a cold compress on her brow.
"Can you sit up and take some medicine?."
Modesty scrunched her face up.
"How did you know I was awake?"
Modesty asked as she slowly opened her eyes.
"Breathing changed."
