"Vice President Cameron, you didn't advise me of who you were when you first arrived. Had I known that you were the person expected by Chairman Su, I would have sent you directly to the VIP room instead of seating you here in regular dining. Please accept my humble apology for not knowing who Vice President Cameron was. Modesty nodded and she and Chu Hua stood and followed the man upstairs to a private dining room.
When they arrived The host showed them to the private room reserved by Su Jin Wei. Then he apologized profusely to Chairman Su for his mistake. Su Jin Wei just waved his hand at the man to dismiss him, never once taking his eyes off of Modesty.
Modesty saw the man that she had b.u.mped into a few weeks ago seated with his who she a.s.sumed to be his a.s.sistant and four bodyguards standing near the wall. Su Jin Wei watched as the host brought Miss Cameron to the other side of the table and seated her and her a.s.sistant. The little host was saying something to him but no one was paying any attention.
"h.e.l.lo Vice President Cameron, we meet again." Modesty blushed a little.
"I humbly apologize once again for b.u.mping into you Chairman Su."
Su Jin Wei shook his head she thought he meant from a few weeks ago. But, that was not what Su Jin Wei meant,
"I apologize Vice President Cameron, for the misunderstanding. I didn't mean from a few weeks ago. I meant from when I last saw you when you were just fifteen years old and I was eighteen at the time."
Modesty gasped. "You knew me and my parents?"
Su Jin Wei nodded his head. Modesty was excited she would now get to ask someone some questions. She turned to Chu Hu Huan.
"Would you, a.s.sistant Zhang, and the rest leave us?"
a.s.sistant Zhang and the bodyguards all looked at Su Jin Wei for approval, he nodded his head and everyone walked out to an adjacent dining room that Su Jin Wei had reserved for just this purpose.
"You knew me when I was young? I'm sorry that I don't remember you, the doctors say that it is traumatic amnesia. They state that I don't remember anything from the two years I spent here."
Modesty thought she saw a flash of hurt in his eyes but it was so quick she thought maybe she was mistaken.
"Can you tell me what I and my parents were like then? Could you possibly help me to recover my memories?" Modesty had so many questions and was looking at him with such longing Su Jin Wei knew that he would grant her anything. He had planned on doing just that when he found out about the memory loss.
"Hm eat first."
Modesty watched as people brought in trays of food. She didn't want to eat, she wanted to ask questions, but etiquette dictated that she eat first and then conduct business.
