w.a.n.g Rui stared at the woman in surprise, as the words spilled out of his mouth.
"There is nothing impressive about him! Doesn't he have better neck tie?! Just look at those cheap haircut!"
Different things kept going through the mind of Chiang Fuli while her eyes zoomed in on what one of her employees was putting on. To the mega rich heiress, his presence was an eyesore.
On the other hand, w.a.n.g Rui was also talking in the expensive clothing that see had on, "Even if I sell all my organs, I don't think I can afford those shoes!"
On the surface, it may have looked like the simple office man stepped in because of the vulnerability he saw on Chiang Fuli, but in reality the generosity he inherited from his father was just a tool he made use of when he needed something in return. Looking back at the sadness from childhood taught him to tender help only if there was something to be derived from it.
Folding are arms across her chest, the heiress shook her head at what she saw as a man dressed in rags, faded suit which had seen rounds of was.h.i.+ng and black shoes that looked like they would pack up at any given time were sources of annoyance to her eyes.
"How much is your monthly salary?!"
Not that Chiang Fuli couldn't find out with just a phone call to human resources, but she wanted to derive joy in ridiculing him.
Although, w.a.n.g Rui was not expecting to be publicly questioned about his paycheck, he had no other choice but to answer since no one asked him to speak to the second most powerful person his place of work.
"I receive 7.680 Yuan after taxes have been deducted."
That was when Chiang Fuli threw her head back and bursted into laughter while pointing at him.
"That's about how much I pay each day to have my cat groomed! Of all the men that have come up to me, you are truly the most shameless of them!"
It took great effort to mask the sting from her words, as other employees who were pa.s.sing by kept staring at the both of them and whispering as they went.
With the threat of the roof falling off at any time on their head and his father's resturant about to shut down from numerous notices received from the owner. w.a.n.g Rui saw the opportunity that presented itself, whether people call him toyboy or another degrading term. The lowly office man was willing to go through it to save his future and those of his father's. Tired of being pitied and laughed on since his parents disastrous divorce, rather than letting people use him because of his nature, he would rather be the one doing so.
What came out of his mouth next, made Chiang Fuli to stare with her mouth open at his appalling conduct.
"President Chiang, I could begin today if that is okay by you."
-------------------
"And you are?!"
"President Chiang!"
The men were about to form a tighter circle around Chiang Fuli only to halt their movements when they saw the dismissive wave of her hand.
Arrogant dark eyes met impa.s.sive one, as the Heiress of Mahaha Corporation questioned the man that appeared to cut into the talk she was having on the phone.
Looking at the dark gems caused w.a.n.g Rui to remember a memory from his past, something he thought was long buried in the deep recess of his mind. His mother's eyes shook with frustrated tears as she pointed angrily at the then 7 year old w.a.n.g Rui.
"Ru! Why are you so much like your Dad?! Hehn?! Stop poking your nose into other people's matters! See?! Just look at what he did to the family?!"
w.a.n.g Ke had borrowed money from who he thought was a private lender only to turn out to be a loan shark. The money was to help a neighbor pay their child's school fees, rather than letting them know that he couldn't afford to help, to save face and go along with his free spirited nature he then went behind his wife's back to acquire the money. That crushed the fifteen year relations.h.i.+p of w.a.n.g Ke and his wife, w.a.n.g Ruxin who then filed a divorce and moved on to someone else.
"You better have a good reason for acting so rude!"
Chiang Fuli spat those words at the man who wore the regulatory attire of the company, he had a blue strap across his neck that suspended his name badge against his chest. There were a number of things that w.a.n.g Ke taught his son and one of it was that everyone regardless of how rich or poor were still human beings and that one shouldn't favor one over the other. This was how w.a.n.g Rui found the inner strength to face the powerful woman in front of him.
"Are you not looking for someone that isn't after your money?"
The Mahaha heiress thought she was hearing things, her eyes ran from head to toe as she took in his appearance and looks. Only to be cut short by the voice on the phone.
"Have you found someone already?!"
"Grandpa! He isn't my type! Let me call you back later, okay?"
Without further words, Chiang Fuli ended the call to face the unappealing man in front of her. Wearing an armor of hostility, icy dark eyes stared at w.a.n.g Rui.
"Tell me your name and your section!"
"I'm w.a.n.g Rui from MS."
"What is that?!"
Pink lips curled in distaste as she questioned the man whose height was about the same as hers.
"It is the mailing section, President Chiang."
A smile that was meant to be demeaning appeared on the face of Chiang Fuli, such that there was no way that the other party would not take notice of their true intent.
"Oh! So you push paper and mails all day long."
