Dream Star 605 Unbelivable

Waking up during Christmas day, with a killer hangover. Rikka didn't budge from bed. What was she thinking last night, drinking so much? After her failed attempt at getting some sleep. Rikka started drinking; her gaze flickered towards the empty bottles scattered on the floor. She went overboard. Thankfully, there isn't much work today aside from some minor things in the morning.

Her decision to stay in this place was due to her father. She didn't trust him to get her an apartment without hidden intentions. What's more, this way was better. She could drown in her memories with Haruka here. 'A pathetic fool.' What use is there still trying? Didn't she see with her own two eyes, how Haruka treats his wife?

October 20th 2034

"If I'm going to live here, we will have to do some redecorating and buying furniture. You barely have anything, how can you live this way?" Rikka mumbled as she walked into the room. Originally they were debating about where to live. In the end, they decided his penthouse would be better.

"Even if you say that, I only need the bare necessities."

Rikka shook her head, "This is unbelievable. What's with your clothes too? Your so good looking, but all you wear is T-s.h.i.+rts."

"You know I didn't hire you to be my housekeeper. Come over here already."

Rikka walked over to him, and he wrapped his arms around her. "Rikka, you said you'll make me forget. Can you really do that?"

"I can just wait."

"Heh, well, I guess I'll leave it to you."

This person isn't like what the rumors say. Isn't he supposed to be a terrible man? Yet, she got to know him quite well the past few weeks. "Haruka, what's your ex name? Do I know her? Is she a singer?"

"Teras.h.i.+ma Lila."

"That Teras.h.i.+ma Lila?"

"Yeah."

'What high level did he just set for her?' But, that girl? "I met her before, doesn't she have a fiance? Austin Kiryu."

"Yeah."

So, exactly how did Haruka end up dating her with the fiance in the way? Rikka is very curious on their story. But, knowing him, he won't say anything. She focused on the feeling of his hands on her clothes. "Hey, we can't do it. I'm on my period."

"Ah? It's fine."

Rikka sighed, "If I get pregnant, what will you do then?"

"Take responsibility."

She rolled her eyes at that comment. Him? Responsible? As if...

Present

Rikka wakes up to the sound of somebody unlocking the door. She immediately bolted up from bed. At first, she thought it was burglar, but — 'That's strange…' It sounded like somebody used keys. Keys..

Even then, Rika still didn't think it was possible. She thought she made a mistake. But, when she exited the room. Rikka saw him, saw Haruka there.

"I didn't think you moved back in here," Haruka mumbled as he scanned the room.

A deep sigh crossed her lips, "I didn't want to live anywhere my Dad picked out for me. So, this place is more convenient. Sorry if I started using it without permission."

"I don't mind; it's your place too."

"What brought you here?"

Haruka took something out of her bag; it was her purse. "You left this behind yesterday, so I figured I'd give it back to you in person."

Did he come all the way out here to deliver her wallet? This guy has no sense of danger whatsoever, does he? "Stay for breakfast? Or did you eat already?"

"I ate. My wife made me breakfast.'

Of course..

"Did you need me for something? I haven't eaten yet.."

"Lila made something for you too. You can eat it now if you'd like."

Rikka accepted the basket; she was hungry. She wasn't in the mood to cook either.

'That girl…' Rikka thought when she saw the note. What a fool, isn't she too trusting? Letting Haruka inside her home so easily. She opened the basket and noticed something immediately. Her favorite food, she glanced over at Haruka, who casually laid down on the couch.

"If you're tired, why don't you take some time off?"

Haruka laughed, "Can't. Need to get this work done so I can go on more dates with Lila."

That's why he is working so much? He really does put in a lot of effort for her. Pain spread across her chest, and she shook her head. "You can rest for a bit."

"Yeah, thanks. Wake me up in a few minutes. Otherwise, we will be late."

"We?"

"Picking you up. Jo wants us to inspect the site this morning. You have nothing else lined up, right?"

"I'll go," Rikka muttered. Actually, she had something. A business meeting with their most prominent sponsor Zane. However, since it's a private meeting, n.o.body else knew about it.

"Thanks, it will help a lot if you're there."

She feels like an idiot whenever it comes to this man. How can she fall for his sweet-sounding words? Rikka didn't pay attention to him and continued eating the meal Teras.h.i.+ma Lila made for her.

He really fell asleep, should she wake him up? Haruka s.h.i.+fted uncomfortably about on the couch. Is he having a nightmare?

Why would he have a nightmare? Rikka wasn't sure if she saw correctly, so she bent down to check. Haruka is living a happy life right now. He has nothing to worry about now.

This idiot!

He really does let his guard down too much. Rikka tried to break free from his hold, but it was a bit too much. Why does this man have such brute strength? Forget it; it seems like she won't be able to escape.

When Rikka woke up again, she found Haruka looking at her. His arms still wrapped around her waist. He must have just woken up. Rikka moved his arms away then and sat up. "You're finally awake," her gaze darted towards the clock. "Were both late now.."

"Rikka."

Rikka praised when she heard his tone.

"Sorry."

Why is he apologizing for? The bad one is her; she is the one who cheated on him. This is ridiculous.

Haruka doesn't have to feel sorry. But, Rikka knew there was no use arguing that with him. She turned to walk back into her room to grab her stuff. However, Haruka grabbed hold of her wrist. "I've always wanted to ask you this. So, stay still and listen."

".."

"The day after our big fight, why did you just leave? Yes, I was angry at you. Yes, I was hurt. But I wasn't going to dump you."

Wait he wasn't? After she cheated on him? Is he an idiot? This is unbelievable and stupid. Then again, during that big fight. He really irritated her. Why did he act like a saint for? It wasn't entirely her fault.

"I see, then tell me. Didn't you cheat on me too? You slept with Teras.h.i.+ma Lila when you went to Star Town, didn't you?" Rikka asked calmly. But, she was digging her nails into her palms.

"I never slept with her."

"Liar! I saw those photos."

"Rikka, I didn't do anything with her. I couldn't; at the time, she was dating Austin Kiryu. At most, I could kiss and hug her. I'll admit that it wasn't a good idea, and disrespectful to you since we were dating then. But, I didn't sleep with Lila then."

Back then, Haruka would sleep with just anyone. That's why when she saw those photos, Rikka a.s.sumed that something happened. It was one of the main reasons why she decided to cheat on Haruka. If he can do it, why can't she? Haruka stood up, and Rikka averted her gaze from him. It's useless talking about this stuff now, but still...

"Is that why?"

"Yes," Rikka admitted. "I gave you only half the reason back then."

'Back then?' It was only earlier this year that they broke up.

"I see. Where did you get the photos from?"

'Sophia, Sophia gave them to her..' Rikka swallowed her words when she recalled that bad feeling she got then. She didn't know why she naively believed her cousin. However, back then, Rikka felt so angry. For quite some time, Haruka was acting strange, that's why she instantly believed it.

Before Rikka could say anymore, Haruka's phone started ringing. "We should go," Rikka said. "Were late."

He tightened his hold on her wrist, "Let's talk about this tomorrow, okay?"

"Yes."
