Dream Star 610 Rescue

"I told you it's not like that. But seriously go away."

He's causing too much of a scene. What if people recognize them? That would be bad. 

"Will you just shut up and listen to me? " Luke shouted raising his hand.

Ah, she really is an idiot isn't she? Perhaps her parents were right after all, she really doesn't have a good taste in guys. She always tends up falling for guys like this. She admired them so much when she was a kid, but by now she knows that there's no such thing as a prince that will sweep her off her feet. Knowing she couldn't put up a barrier around herself with these people around. Rikka s.h.i.+elds her face with her hands, bracing for the impact.

After a few minutes though, she did not feel the impact at all. Rikka moved her arms and saw the reason why. Somebody was s.h.i.+elding her. Brown hair, and those deep eyes. Eh? Why?  

"Karas.h.i.+ma," Luke muttered. Indeed it was none other than Haruka himself.

Rikka stood there frozen. What is this man doing here? Doesn't he have a date? Judging from Haruka's clothing, he wore a formal pale coloured suit, he did have a date. 'Why is he playing hero for?'

"Now now this won't do Luke, you can't hurt my partner like that. Anyway, calm down and don't go making a scene in the middle of the street," Haruka said calmly. Despite how calm he was. Rikka could tell that he was mad.

"Shut it. This is me and my woman's problem. Mind your own, dammed business," Luke snapped.

"Oh? She's yours?"

"Of course she is, the moment you broke up with her. She became mine."

'The one who dumped Haruka was her though…' Then again, the story of their break up got twisted so many times. Rikka stopped explaining it to the others. Even if she explained it, they didn't listen.

Haruka's next words shocked her so much. But Rikka did not get a chance to say anything, since Haruka dragged her away.

D Hotel 

"Haruka, let go," Rikka mumbled. Haruka let's go of her arm. "Why did you do that?"

She could already see the headlines. It's Christmas day too. People will surely misunderstand, this is really bad. It will destroy that gorgeous performance Haruka did for Teras.h.i.+ma Lila the other day. People will start speculating that it was for show. There are already so many bad rumors about him. If this

"It's fine."

"But your wife…"

Haruka shook his head, "She would get angry at me if I just left you. Tell me something, that man is your fiance?"

Rikka sighed and nodded. She flinched when she felt his hands brush across her cheeks. "You got hurt. He hit you?"

"I'm alright."

"No, you're not," Haruka mumbled. One of the staff members approached them and whispered something in Haruka's ear. 

"Sir, the room is ready."

Haruka nodded and grabbed a hold of her wrist. Rikka didn't get a chance to say anything and followed him. The room Haruka reserved was a small lounge area. He immediately locked the door behind them and brought her over to the couch. "On Christmas day, why are you getting yourself hurt for?" he mumbled.

"Haruka, what about your wife?"

"She's running a bit late. I said I'd wait for her here though."

So, that's why he has this fancy lounge rented out.

"Sorry for destroying your date."

"It's fine, Lila will take awhile."

'Who said I gave up on her?' Even if he was joking, those words made her feel happy. Uh, she sounds so pathetic. It's no wonder Luke acts that way around him. She doesn't treasure her relations.h.i.+p with him, and she clearly made it obvious from the start. 'I still have someone I like.'

Both of them fell asleep, and when she woke up realizing Haruka was gone. Rikka decided to head back after was.h.i.+ng up. A good bath will help her. However, no sooner did she step inside did she feel a hand grab hold onto her. Her eyes widened when she saw who it was and froze.

Rikka didn't think this crazy man would actually follow her all the way out here.

"b.i.t.c.h, how dare you?" It happened all too fast for her.

A continuous stream of broken moans fell from her lips as she felt Luke slam into her. But she was too far gone right now to care. "Ah..ah..." Is this man stupid? They are still dating, however this felt so wrong to her. It's good but she couldn't enjoy it anymore. Why is that? Why is it like this.

"That's it," Luke crooned in her ear. "You're so close, aren't you? Come for me. Come for me."

Her vision whitened, and in seconds she collapsed on the ground.

"That's the last time you mess with me. Break up? Don't make me laugh."

"...."

Before anything else could happen though, she caught a glimpse of maroon hair. In seconds Luke was on the ground. Haruka's gaze was murderous. "I warned you before, don't go near Rikka."

"Karas.h.i.+ma..d.a.m.n."

"Are you alright?" Haruka asked.

"Haruka, I thought you left."

"I had a bad feeling.." he turned to the man on the ground. Haruka kicked him, "Do this again, and you'll be sorry."

"Haruka, your late for your date."

"Let me take you back to your place. I don't trust you with him."

The car journey was awfully quiet. Rikka didn't know what to say to him. It's embarra.s.sing getting caught in this situation. "How long has this been going on?"

"A month after we started our relations.h.i.+p. At the start, I didn't notice anything. He was your average polite gentleman type. However, after awhile I noticed that he would occasionally get that strange look in his eyes," Rikka paused. "After I showed him my house, he started acting differently. I thought he already knew how wealthy I was, but it turns out that wasn't the case."

A frustrated look appeared on his face, "I can guess the next part. He started to take advantage of your wealth. When you got angry and pointed out his flawless, he started to beat you."

"Correct."

"Why didn't you call me, d.a.m.n.."

"I thought you specifically told me not to call you ever again?"

Haruka gritted his teeth, she could tell how annoyed he was.

"Naturally, your reaction was normal. I did cheat on you. When you told me how depressed and down you felt your whole life. I couldn't understand you. I simply thought you were making excuses," Rikka mumbled.

Whenever she thought back to that day, she felt regretful. What was she thinking? Why did she say such insensitive things to him? 'I thought you'd understand.' After that day even though Rikka wanted to talk to him, she couldn't. Haruka became more famous in the next few months. Even though she could no speak and see him like before. She saw him everyday on television.

"I…"

"I don't hate you Rikka. G.o.d, d.a.m.n it. I thought it was you who didn't like me. You never picked up my calls after our fight."

"Calls?" Rikka said puzzled. What calls is he talking about? He never called her. 

"Yes calls. I called you repeatedly. Did you really think I'd let things end that way? Even if you cheated on me, it was clearly a new thing for you. I could tell from our conversation. You acted based on emotion."
