Dream Star 733 Milenium Spring Part 2

Then again, what use is there figuring out what he is thinking? This man is like the person from his name, like the fallen angel Lucifer. For the next few minutes n.o.body spoke as they explored the place. Sumire observed her surroundings carefully, but she couldn't see anything but dark walls with strange drawings. 

Lucifer didn't get a chance to respond but she had noticed that his expression had changed ever so slightly. What's that sound? Sumire glanced over and saw a black shadow had formed in the center - the clouds slowly dissolving. There was a young boy surrounded by other kids but being kicked around. 

She immediately recognized the kid as a young Lucifer. 

Sumire's eyes went wide at the next scenes that unfolded. There stood a single child laughing with the blood of those who had driven him to a corner. "Lucifer you---"her sentence fell short when he grabbed hold of her chin.

"It is not unusual, you understand correct?"

She does… Sumire looked away. "I understand, I won't say anything."

Lucifer nodded and pulled his hands away from her.

The scenery in the cloud changes, to a young girl with brunette hair wearing a blue dress and clutching a teddy bear.

The scene flickers again.

This time a much older looking child was peeking at the corner. "Aunt look what I dre---"she pauses.

Who are those men? 'What are they doing to my aunt?'

Sumire spotted a red colour flowing out of her aunt who was screaming in pain.

Why? Why?

She wanted to say something. No she ought to go away, but Sumire froze on the spot. Right at that moment one of the men dragged her aunt out of the door. 

"Ah? Why is there a kid here---" the man trailed off and he looked her up and down. There was something frightening about the way he looked at her. "Hey you guys, take this woman back."

"Wait a moment." her aunt weakly called out. "She is just a young girl."

"Hah? You owe us. Do you think your body alone can satisfy us?"

What? What are they talking about? Sumires gaze turned hollow when she saw one of the other men punch her aunt. The sound of her sobs and cries fill the hall. Sumire kept staring at the sight, more and more red. Ah, that colour is blood. 

The man took a few steps forward and soon he was in front of her. Sumire finally understood the situation, these people hurt her aunt. Her aunt did not care for her much. But, she still comes over when her parents ask. 

"H--Hey this kid has strange eyes." 

Sumire does not let him finish his sentence as she extends her hand out.

In the next second the entire hall is painted red, the man was on the ground - a hole in his chest. His other companions heard the commotion and rushed out. n.o.body could believe what they just saw.

When humans see something that goes outside the norm, the first thing they will do is something irrational.

Once she was slightly older her aunt came around and would frequently take care of her when her parents were away. But during those times the guards stationed in the palace would be very little; since they all left to watch over her parents instead.

The past that she has to confront huh? Both her and Lucifer - have scars as deep as this. Unlike her husband, she still has something she can't move on from.

"That was you?" Lucifer asked.

Sumire nodded. "Since I helped protect your secret. You should pretend that you didn't see or hear anything either..." she trails off when she saw his expression. "But, as long as we are in here I suppose we can talk."

Lucifer nodded, "You already had the seed of the curse in you then?"

"It turns out what I swallowed from the millenium spring was fragments of the seed. Of course since they were only fragments there wasn't much power. But for a young child holding something like that in my body made me become terribly ill. That's when a terrible incident happened I - as a last resort destroyed the castle. Before everyone became consumed I destroyed it. A few years later when I was older and the lockdown happened - it was because the actual seed had been searching for me. 

It's because of me that everyone was in danger. That's why in order to make it stop, I took it all inside me. But the seed noticed that I cared for the other girls deeply and that's why they gave them fragments. A reminder of the pact."

"I see. I suppose it explains that huge light."

Sumire isn't surprised by his words.

"Lucifer you were there too?"she murmurs.

"Who knows, perhaps your memories have yet to fully return." He said with a sly smile. 

The brunette pouted at his reply. Somehow it feels like he is making fun of her. But ah, this is the first time she ever spoke to anyone about this. Even if it's painful to talk about, for some reason her heart feels a lot lighter than before. 

'How strange. To think the day would come where I feel this way toward this person.'

After they walked around for a little while they find something at the very top of the stairwell.

It was a huge metal box. Is that the sacred seal?

"Hold on." Lucifer said.

"Lucifer? I'm not letting you--"

"Don't be stupid. There is an anti curse barrier on that. "

Indeed as he spoke she saw the amber coloured light surrounding it. If she touches that her hands will be in pain or most likely suffer from a severe burn. But if it's like that then even Lucifer can't touch it. 

Her thoughts broke though when Lucifer reached over and extended his hand towards it. Huh? H--old on? Yet he managed to get through it, a silver box with a golden seal was in the center. 

Although she should challenge him for a fight for it now. Sumire could not do that. "Your hand!" Sumire said as she grabbed hold of it.

"You..."

Sumire examined his pale hand. 

"There are severe burns. If it keeps stinging like that your hand may be burnt to a crisp." Sumire explained.

"I am aware--"

Sumire shook her head. "Hold on I have some medication that should help..." Sumire rummaged through her bag and found a pale bottle. There was not much inside but it would do.
