At that comment, her entire face turned red. "Give me your guitar again, let me make some adjustments."

Lila nodded and pa.s.sed it to him. He sat down again. "Since you're singing different versions, it would be better to have several different arrangements."

They could probably make several different ones depending on what programs she will get invited to. If they change it up, per program, then the audience will be able to enjoy a variety of music. 

"Haruka, Haruka."

"Hmmm?" His thoughts broke off when he felt Lila's lips on his. 

Lila covered her mouth shyly. "I love you."

'Why does she keep saying that? What's with her acting all cute too?' Haruka looked away with a frustrated expression. So much time has pa.s.sed since he started dating Lila, and yet he still can't adjust. He has learned that she has many different sides of herself that people don't know about. But there is no doubt she is the cute type.

To think people label her as a cold person. Haruka watched a gentle expression appeared on her face, as he continued struming some chords.

"You know, I like this."

"Hmm?"

"Spending time with you like this is still the best for me. Before we met again, I thought all I needed was my songs. But now, even if music were to vanish it wouldn't matter. Since you would be right here by my side."

"Lila.." Haruka was about to put the guitar down. He wanted to hug her, he wanted to touch her and kiss her all over.

He was about to put it down but saw the look in her eyes. "Let me sing too."

Lila's eyes brightened. "Okay!"

Kiryu paused when he saw the smile on Lila's face. 'Well, it seems like I don't have to do anything. I was worried about them for a while but it seems like that worry was unnecessary.'

He turns away and slips on some earphones, letting the music drown away the sounds of their flirting. Although headphones would be a lot better in this situation, this isn't bad either.

To his surprise, he felt somebody cling to his arm.

"Okay! I'm done flirting with Haruka, let's go back to work."

Why on earth does she have so much energy? Hasn't her schedule been wearing her out? 

He is beat. Maybe it's due to the success of the festival. But they've all been receiving so much work recently. To the point that they would return home in the morning and start work in the afternoon. Not that it actually changed things. After all he is more active at night than the day. 

Kiryu deeply sighed. 

This is usually the time he gets some sleep and yet he has to do something like this. Then again, how could he leave Lila alone with this foreigner guy? Haruka said they could trust this man but he felt sceptical. Blonde hair and green eyes, such an unusual shade too..

So much time has pa.s.sed since that. Since he drank her sweet blood and marked that porcelain white neck of hers. At that time Lila had been staying in the hanyou mansion, where others with strong blood resided until they could control their powers. 

Whether or not it was a set up. At that time it was only him and his friends who he was close enough to call brothers. All of them wanted to ravish her, all of them spoke of drinking from her and yet none of them could do it. They all feared the curse surrounding her. It was during her stay in the mansion, that he became close to her. 

He was the only one who didn't have any intention to drink from her and yet because she had been so stupidly persistence; they ended up in that sort of relations.h.i.+p.

Even if he says that, the drinking relations.h.i.+p was one sided. Never once did she drink blood from him, and yet she always recognised whenever he needed blood even before he told her. 

After leaving the mansion, he became able to control his thirst so there was no need for him to keep sucking her blood. But never once has Eijiro forgotten that sweet taste.  

"Uwaah! There's a small waterfall. " 

"Yeah, this is one of them. The ones at the end where we're heading too are the prettiest ones though." 

"There is a prettier place?" Lila asked. Her eyes were bright at the thought. "Ah wait a second, I want to cool down my feet."

"Hold on, the rocks here are slippy-- " 

However, the warning came a second too late. Lila already lost her balance. Kiryu didn't waste any time rus.h.i.+ng over. 

He managed to break her fall but it was under severe consequences. He landed on the water, while the black hair girl was safely perched on top of him. "Geez, what on earth is with you? Can't you be more aware of your surroundings? " 

"Kiryu, you're wet. " 

"You're not listening again."

"Ah, do you want my handkerchief? Oh but I think I dropped it." 

He sighs deeply. Really, how clumsy is she? His thoughts break off when he found her staring intently at him.

"Your hair, it looks sparkly." 

G.o.ddammit. Really, this woman is --- such a pain. But she is the one who fell in love with her.

 "Lilsan, you're lucky I brought spare towels. " The blonde-haired man commented.

"Ah, I'm not that wet. But Kiryu is." Lila trots over and places the towel on his hair. Light laughter escapes her lips as she helps him dry her hair. " It really is sparkly. I wonder why." 

Why is she still like this even now? She really doesn't make any sense at all to him. Just when he was starting to have thoughts that she was drifting away from him. She is still the same clumsy girl as when they first met. So clumsy, naive and foolish. Although that child-like side of hers is adorable, she really needs to learn to listen to other people. Catching a faint scent of blood he traces the source to Lila, to find a gash on her right hand. . ..

Kiryu grabbed hold of her wrist. "Your hand, it got cut."

"Uwaah! Your right, it hurts."

What the heck? Did she really only just notice it? 

"Etto, bandage...bandage…"

Such a sweet and alluring smell. Even now the smell of this girl's blood hasn't changed. Or maybe it's because she's changed a lot in contrast to when he was drinking her blood. He hears her murmuring that it's a waste and half expects her drinking it herself. However, the black hair girl extended her hand out to him.

"What?" 

"Kiryu, have some. I don't want to waste blood."

Oi oi, is she serious? 

Kiryu looked at her expression and sighs quietly to himself. Well she's right, it would be a waste if he doesn't drink it. He takes her hand and brings it to his lips. The sweet scent filling his senses in seconds, and his hesitation disappears. 

"This isn't enough." he murmurs.

Lila laughed awkwardly. "Um well." She took her phone out. "Let me ask Haruka."

Kiryu frowned and took her phone off her. He brushed his lips against her ear. "Do you have to ask him? He knows that you drink from me."

Actually Kiryu knew what Haruka would say if Lila asked. No matter how tolerating Haruka is recently, he won't let this be. But Kiryu wanted her so badly right now.

"It won't hurt."

Lila bit her lip but she shook her head. "Sorry. I know you won't go overboard. But drinking a lot of blood involves a lot of physical contact. I promised to myself that unless you're seriously injured, we can't do anything weird anymore."

Kiryu blinked when he sensed how serious she was. He rubbed the back of his hair. "Well, can I drink from your neck at least?"

"Mmm, okay."

He looked around and saw a small bench not too far from where they were. The bench was hidden behind some bushes. 'Perfect.' Kiryu led Lila there and pushed her against the seat.

"Kiryu?"
