A week later - XX Hospital

A woman with short brown hair half-clothed hovered over him. He felt her lips on his, but after kissing for a few minutes, he pulled away. "Rikka, stop."

The girl pulled away from him and sighed. "I knew you didn't have the courage to betray her so easily."

Haruka looked away. He felt ashamed that it even came to this. For the past week, he did not meet with Lila once. He did not visit his unconscious wife because of what happened. Her cold words and gaze from that day remain fresh in his mind.

"You were very drunk and came to me out of impulse. I will leave it at that." Rikka mumbled as she fixed her clothes up. "Aren't you overreacting? It's not like she admitted to liking Austin Kiryu."

"I know." 

He knows that very well. His thoughts broke off when he saw several missed calls on his phone.

She woke up? Haruka immediately stood up, and Rikka extended her hand out. "I left a mark, cover your neck."

Haruka nodded. He was in a hurry, or was he? He still did not know whether he wanted to see Lila or not. After all that has happened, is it okay for him? They still have not heard any news from Kiryu, either. Sumire-san said she has it under control, but Haruka did not trust her.

Haruka entered the room and indeed found Lila awake. Sumire-san was feeding her some fruits.

"H-hubby-" Lila choked.

Sumire chuckled and pa.s.sed the girl some water. "There, there. I know you're excited, but …"

The girl immediately rushed over before the older woman finished her sentence. Sumire put the bowl down on the bedside table and quickly left the room. The moment the older woman left, Haruka captured his wife's pretty lips and started to kiss her.

"Hubby, um I missed you too. But …."

"But?"

Lila covered her face with her hands. "I'm embarra.s.sed."

'cute...so cute.' Why is his wife so innocent even now? No, he can't call her innocent anymore. Haruka knew Lila far better than before; this girl is not innocent. But around him, Haruka noted how fl.u.s.tered she got.

Haruka moved her hands from her face and gently kissed her fingers. "Lila, I missed you."

"Wh--what do you want me to do? Um, I can do something for you."

"You can?"

Lila nodded. "I--I can do..um…"

'Geez, why does she still behave this way?' Haruka cupped her cheeks. "You probably feel sick so that I won't request anything. Let me kiss you for a bit longer like this."

"Okay."

Haruka pulled back and sat up. "I will get you something to eat."

"Ah, I just ate."

"I see."

"Um say," Lila extended her hand out. "I want to cuddle."

Even though he almost did something stupid due to his emotions. Lila still looks at him with a bright smile. Haruka recalled what happened recently and sighed. He can't help but replay the events in his head over and over again. She said such painful things to him.

Haruka understood the reason why. He understood that it couldn't be helped due to the situation. But, those words -- 'she must have held it back this entire time.'

Lila suddenly started to cry, and he looked at her helplessly. "What's wrong, my wife?"

"Haruka, you're angry at me."

"I'm not."

He is, it's painful being with her right now.

"You're angry; you didn't kiss me properly. It felt like you were avoiding me."

"What do you mean by properly?"

"Like um, you usually nibble my lips a little before we kiss and tease me a bit...and um.." Haruka watched as his wife's entire face turned redder. 

"Y--you touch me.."

Haruka cupped her cheeks and scanned her expression. The face of a girl who is in love. She still loves him. But he doesn't understand what happened the other day. Why did she behave like that towards him?

"Hubby, um, please kiss me properly. Don't be angry anymore."

He lowered his face and nibbled on her bottom lip. He gave her a more affectionate kiss than last time. But he still held back a bit. Austin Kiryu will always remain important to Lila.

'I thought I understood that already. But it seems like it's worse than I thought.'

"Haruka….Please…"

Haruka took his s.h.i.+rt off and lifted the girl's nightgown. Her stomach and legs now exposed to him. He brushed his lips against her stomach.

"Your mother is being naughty. She wants to seduce me even though she is unwell. Do you think I should punish her too?"

"Um--uh! P--punish…"

"What do you think?" 

Lila buried her face with her hands. "Aren't you teasing me too much?"

"You deserve it; you were so cruel to me."

Her gaze softened. "I'm sorry. But I love you a lot Haruka. You understand, right?"

"Yeah, I do." He understood more than anybody. 

Like usual, he doesn't wait for her response and attacks her lips. G.o.d, these lips of hers feel so good. They're so soft... His arms had snaked around her body, one on her lower back, pressing her closer to him and the other interwinding itself deeper into her black hair. 

He kissed her more pa.s.sionately, Lila opens his mouth for him, and he shoots his tongue inside. Moans were quickly escalating out of her mouth.

So beautiful and so radiant. 'She can't be yours. 'He knew that he understands it full well, and that's exactly why he can do this now. Its because she isn't ever going to belong to him. No matter how well they get along or love one another. Haruka understood that this girl would always belong to Kiryu.

The words she said a few days ago proved his thoughts. For a while now, he suspected it, but he did not say a word.

Haruka carefully slipped his hands through her s.h.i.+rt and started fondling her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. 

Her fingers wrapped around his back, heavy breathing down his ear. Oh, wow...

Haruka blinks, she seems to...be getting into it... Then again, he is kissing her rather aggressively, caressing her in the same manner. 

He licks her eyelids. 'Sorry,' he says it every time knowing that she's always holding back her tears whenever he holds her.

He felt her hands trail on his bare chest, and his eyes widened. Well, that is some strong incense. Does she realize what she is doing? Hah..G.o.d, this feels great. When Lila does this, it is different. Rikka tried to do something similar earlier, and yet he did not feel this way.

They are not even having s.e.x, and yet this pleasure is something else. Haruka however, pulled away when he saw that she was out of breathe. He kissed her eyelids softly.

"You okay?" Haruka asked worriedly. She looks far too pale.

"Nnngh, break."

Haruka was reluctant to stop but nodded. Lila buried her face in his arms, and he flinched. This girl is so dangerous. What makes her think sticking to him like this is a good idea after what they did there?

"Go to sleep Lila," Haruka instructed. If she stays awake, who knows what crazy thing he would do to her?

Lila nodded. "Okay, goodnight."
