*Thud*

The body of the behemoth in front of me dropped dead, the impact from its weight causing the ground to shake. This was the 6th one we had run into. Like the Stalker the strength zombies had evolved.

I looked down at the 3 meter tall tank like body. Its skin was ridiculously tough. I thought back about its status.

Name: N/A

Race: Zombie Crusher

Iron Skin(Innate) LV (Special Conditions) – users skin is as tough as iron. +10 END

The name crusher aptly fit it. Its hands were gigantic and looked like it could crush anything. It was still dumb and slow moving. But like the stalker, I had a relatively easy time killing it. I had no trouble killing them. I had faced the first stalker an hour ago. I thought it might be a tough fight; I could never discount how tough a zombie could be.

However when me and Ella had pressed our aura onto them they turned docile. And I mean docile. They would stand still; some of the weaker ones would even tremble. It might have been the first time I realized how over powered the 'Empress', and 'Emperor' Skill are.

Of course, because of this I didn't have to worry about running into any zombies right now. Because we were at such a higher level than them, we had no worries locking them down. Then it was as simple as slas.h.i.+ng their heads off.

Ella was particularly happy.

"Finally they learn their place."

I think I heard those dangerous words coming from her after it happened the second time. I could feel her over flowing happiness. Too bad we were restricted with the exp gain and could only store it. I knew it might be a good idea to clear out a lot of zombies, to stock pile the exp, but I wanted to get to the city.

We could ma.s.sacre the zombies after Ella evolved. Wouldn't make a difference either way. We made good time as we continued to close in on the city centre. We didn't hide anymore and killed any zombies in our path. I did however make sure they were weak with my 'a.n.a.lyze' skill before fully committing to the attack.

Rose didn't have much to do while we were clearing out the zombies and only used some earth spikes when necessary. Even after all the fighting, because we only used our aura, it wasn't taxing mentally. We could have kept this up for half a day and still been fine.

We decided to rest after killing another group of zombies. I was looking for a good place to rest, when my eyes flickered. They focused to my right and stared at the air. I tilted my head and wondered why my eyes went there.

Something in my head was making them s.h.i.+ft in that direction. Ella who was next to me suddenly sniffed the air. She looked around with a curious expression on her face. I turned to look at her.

"What is it?"

Was something going on here?

Ella was also curious; she kept sniffing the air and looking around.

"I don't know, it smells like…"

My danger perception started to go off, my body tensed as I raised my awareness.

"….like a human meal."

My brain raced a mile a minute as I registered the words. Ella had a nose that could track down elves in the forest. I had no doubt that after eating so many humans; she would be able to tell what we smell like. And she was saying there was one close or around us!

I thought back to the city centre and its stone steel. There were a mult.i.tude of cla.s.ses that a person could become to kill zombies. This world had basically become a game after that G.o.d screwed with us. And what did every game have.

A Rogue!

My mind screamed the answer as my danger perception heightened and I felt it roaring to look out behind me.

I turned as quick as I could, but it wasn't quick enough. 2 daggers appeared out of nowhere, as they plunged towards my back. I twisted slightly to get out of the way, but one of them still fully went through my shoulder. The blade was only a few inches long and I felt the pain instantly.

The rogue wasn't expecting me to react so fast and was stunned that they didn't get me in the first shot.

Though he was a stupid person for attack a group of 3.

I didn't have to do anything, while I scrambled to make distance. Ella roared at him and her aura gushed out. The temperature in the area climbed in seconds and fire appeared. His eyes showed terror as his body was locked. He didn't have a high level so he was exactly like the zombies, completely immobilized by the pressure.

Ella was about to come forwards but Rose was faster.

*Pak*

3 Earth spikes rose from the ground and impale the poor fellow in his groin, heart and then head. It all happened in a matter of seconds. Nothing could have saved him once he made his move. I have no clue why he would aim for me either.

*Pak*

The spikes went back down and the dead corpse fell to the ground. Both Rose and Ella rushed to me with the dagger still stuck in my shoulder. The blade made it half way through before it was stopped. My endurance stopped it from going deeper.

I was disoriented for the whole fight, but as they made their way over the pain started to subside. The dagger was still in my shoulder but the pain was going away.

With unnatural calmness I reached up and pulled it out. I felt a bit more pain and clenched my teeth but nothing else. A small bit of blood was on the end of the dagger.

This wasn't right.

Every fight up till now such an injury would produce a lot more blood. The pain would be worse and I would be sweating. Rose casted 'Nature Heal' on me and the wound soon closed, but I didn't notice, I just looked at the blood on the dagger.

I had felt something was different after that G.o.d spoke the other day. Had my body really changed? Could it take more damage before dying? Would a blade right through my stomach be the same? Would it be harder to kill normal people now?

"I'm fine."

I said that to make Ella and Rose calm down.

I threw the dagger to the ground as I looked at the dead body. I didn't care that he died. He had attacked me first and wanted to take my life. I went over and picked up his globe. Crus.h.i.+ng it, I got some entertainment points and exp.

I also got to see his name, but I didn't spare it a glance. I didn't want to know who this person was. I gripped my fists as I stood up. I think I was starting to understand what that G.o.d had done to my body. But that could be found out later.

The real problem was he had changed it and I hadn't known! What type of power level would I have to reach to finally kill that b.a.s.t.a.r.d?
