I had to sit down for 20 minutes before I felt I could move around normally.

This didn't feel right. What was sapping my strength? Was it because I fought for so long?

I'll think about it later, for now I better check my spoils of war.

I went around and gathered all the globes in the room, then sat back down. Even that had sapped my strength. Crus.h.i.+ng all of them.

The h.e.l.l?

What the c.r.a.p are these entertainment points? I concentrated on them hoping that more information would pop up, but nothing happened. And I got another set of beginner gear, what was this usefully for, where am I even supposed to keep them?

I sighed helplessly, couldn't do anything about it, I would find out later, right?

I called up my status as I remembered that I had leveled before in the fight. d.a.m.n thing nearly killed me.

Huh? When did I gain that? Cold Rage?

Wait, was that the cold feeling that came over me?

So that was why I suddenly went and started killing these guys. The increase in intelligence isn't too large now, but later this could really help me out, if I ever get angry. I don't want to do anything brash in rage.

I had also unlocked, the last thing that was filled with '???', so it was the entertainment points? It still didn't tell me anything about them, but at least I knew they could be used later. I mean, why would they be in the status screen if you couldn't use them later.

I then went on to add the points in my Attributes. I put 2 in strength and endurance and 1 in agility. I don't know how much faster these things would get, but at the minute, after experiencing that exhaustion after the fight, I think more endurance would work wonders. Plus I need the strength to kill them faster. After I added them my stats now looked like.

After I sorted out my status, I closed the window and stood up. I looked towards the side. There were 3 elevators there, with signs and a map of the hospital hanging to the right of it. After walking up to it, I pressed the down b.u.t.ton to test it out. Nothing happened after I pressed the b.u.t.ton a few times, just to check.

That s.h.i.+tty G.o.d said he would take away out electricity right? Did he mean all electricity? Or did he make a difference between self-sustained and supplied power?

But I mean, most of the world's most important machinery, and protection was built to use electricity, if it were all to stop, the dangers, such as d.a.m.ns stopping and worse, could happen. The damage around the world would be immense.

I smacked myself in the head, dammit. I had a b.l.o.o.d.y phone in the pocket of my jeans, I took them off. I could have checked that before I switched pants. Ugh. I'll have to find one later when I go exploring.

I looked at the map to the side of the elevator, and saw my position. I was around the west side of the building. If I went down a corridor or two, I would be able to get to a stair way which would lead down and up.

But should I use it now and leave?

I thought hard, I mean, if 2/3 of people in the world have become those things. To go outside right now, would spell my doom. Being in an enclosed area, where they can't hear me, or find me, would be advantageous.

I looked at a clock, which was hung above the elevator; thank G.o.d doctors always want to know the time.

As I thought!

Looking up at the clock, it was still counting the time, meaning that the battery in it wasn't dead. And if that wasn't dead, that means any form of self-sustaining power source, should still work.

The time showed, 4pm, it was already an hour since I lost the rest of my family. I remember the doctor calling the time of death, after my mother had given birth.

Tears started to well up as my mind wandered, but I quickly pushed it down.

My plan for now should be to find somewhere safe and outside wasn't an option.

At that moment my stomach growled. I would have turned red in embarra.s.sment had it been a different occasion, but it made me realize. I needed food and water, they were essentials, and I don't know how much of the stuff I could get before it starts to spoil and waste.

I turned my head back to the map on the wall and started to look. There had to be a small food storage room or something right. Something where they would keep clean water, anything would be fine.

Being situated in the west area of the floor, it didn't look like there was anything other than rooms on this side of the complex. To the south there were more beds, and to the north it looked a bit like where storage and maintenance stuff would be. Because of the wide rooms and the lack of patient rooms I guessed maintenance, but it's probably just where they do laundry and stuff.

Over on the other side of the floor, was the neo-natal area. It's where they keep the kids in intensive care.

It's where they took my sister when there were complications. It didn't look like there was much over there.

After having a look at the map, I saw 3 places that looked like they may house some storage. I was just hoping that they didn't keep all of storage on the same floor. That would make things difficult.

Worst come to worse, I'll go look for water and food in the patient rooms. I didn't want to right now, as I wasn't sure what could or couldn't infect me. I felt that the food that had been left out might be infected, so I wanted to claim some prepacked goods. I had confidence they were good.

The 3 areas were in different direction, I sighed when I saw this, I would have to go around the whole floor to find and check them all out. I shook my head and made up my mind. I think my eyes would have been gleaming, with the amount of determination I was producing.

OK I would do it.

I would go through the whole floor.

I would find some food and water, and kill any infected that I found!

I would need the exp to level, the experience to continue on in the future, and I didn't really have a choice, 3 birds with one stone as they say.

Having decided what to do, I took my new determination and looked at the clock again. With only 2 or 3 hours till dark, I'll have to do this fast. I was quite nervous, but I needed to do this to get stronger.

I walked back the way I had come from. If I was going to become stronger than that d.a.m.n G.o.d, I needed to start somewhere, and killing all the infected on this floor, was probably the right place to start.

I gripped my blade tightly and slowly made my way around.
