As my blade could chop through their limbs, after I used my full strength, it made it a lot easier. I had acquired a few more entertainment points along the way. And finally got some new gear from the drops.
(Padded Vest (Grey) – Better than the beginner gear as it is padded! But will still hurt like h.e.l.l if hit by an infected. But at least most bones won't be broken.)
(Padded Jeans (Grey) - Better than the beginner gear as it is padded! But will still hurt like h.e.l.l if hit by an infected. But at least most bones won't be broken.)
When I saw the description, I cursed.
This d.a.m.n G.o.d, does he write these personally, "It is padded!" my a.r.s.e. The clothes looked exactly like the beginner gear, but had a blue color to them. I Sighed as I equipped them. Having experienced the time with my boots, I was able to equip them by just thinking. Saved me a lot of trouble.
I continued on and finally cleared the west area, having made a full circuit back to the reception. I had killed around 13 infected throughout the journey, all being weak. I gained a few more pieces of gear, but they were mostly beginner gear and wooden staffs. I hadn't come across another sword since the first.
I must have been lucky to get it. Maybe I would get better gear for killing regular infected?
By this point, the amount of globes that I had to carry was around 4. I just couldn't carry them in my hands anymore, and the gear I wore, had no pockets. As this became a problem, before I had returned to the reception, I had ransacked a few rooms and finally found what I was looking for.
I had seen this room on the map before and thought it could be storage, but dismissed it as the room was too small. Or so I thought. It wasn't storage, but it was a little closet, that housed backpacks. When I opened them, they were filled with pamphlets and other things, which new mothers could use to adjust to their life of motherhood.
I stared at the pamphlets probably longer than I should have, as I started daydreaming about my own mother. When I saw that I had wasted quite a bit of time, I quickly made my way back to reception.
The back pack would be useful to carry stuff in the future as well.
At the reception I quickly looked at my status, after killing 13 weak infected I had leveled up.

I had chosen to again put 2 in STR and END and 1 in AGI, this will work for now, I can add more later when I'm not so in need of endurance/stamina.
The amount of exp I needed for the next level would take quite a bit of effort to get, it looks like the exp will keep quadrupling each time I level. I have no clue how much that means level 99 – 100 will require, but it left me gob smacked for a minute, just thinking about it.
Once all that was done, I took one last look at the map, having cleared out the 4 corridors that lead from this reception desk, I would have to clear another 12 before I would finish the floor, but that wasn't including the corridors between here and the other receptions, making it? 16?
After this deduction I tilted my head towards the clock. It was around 5:15, d.a.m.n, that took more than an hour. Night time would be coming around 6 and I don't think I'll feel safe if I can't get this floor done, before then. With no electricity, it'll be pitch black after the light dies out. I have to speed up.
I decided to head towards the north and hurried my pace. The corridor on the way to the north section had no infected and I made sure to check any and all rooms that were on my rout. Didn't want any infected to come up behind me.
With my increase stats and the fact that I didn't run into a group of more than 2 infected, my pace sped up and I managed to clear the north section in about 30 minutes. I had killed around 21 infected this time, but only obtained entertainment points, no gear dropped.
I checked the suspected storage location, but it was filled with medical equipment, not food and water.
After clearing the north section, I headed back towards the west section. I wanted to double back around and clear the south section, before I headed towards the east. I was more likely to find food and water in the south anyways.
Arriving at the south reception, I finally ran into another regular infected. Thankfully it was alone, and I could kill it easier. I had been practicing my sword swings and movements on the weak infected.
Thanks to my attributes, which outstripped the infected, I was getting better at killing them. If I couldn't get a head shot I would doge. This way I would save the durability of my sword. After the dodge I would then counter while they were off balance. If I couldn't dodge properly, I would then hack into them and put them off balance. If I did that right I could then quickly get a head shot in.
I looked at the clock hanging above the reception again, it was 6pm already. I had to hurry.
The south section went faster, but a problem started to crop up. There were a lot more regular infected.
I should have known they would become regular infected with time, having spent so long on the other sections; they had had time to evolve properly. This posed a problem.
The more time that pa.s.ses, the stronger they get?
If that was the case, they'll keep getting stronger as I sleep. By tomorrow morning they could be very dangerous, to just kill one of them.
I started to sweat at the realization. I really needed to clear this floor tonight. If I didn't, I might not be strong enough to kill the infected tomorrow.
I finished the south section in 30 minutes but was dead tired. I had to kill about 25 regular infected and 10 weak infected. The numbers were going through the roof. Luckily for me, I had been able to grab another 3 swords.
My first sword had become too dull to cut through bone, so I had to swap it out. I had also finally found the right storage. There were plastic bottles and some candy neatly stacked. In my weakened state, at the sight of the food, I devoured it in an instant.
After eating, I found that I recovered a lot quicker. Having new found strength course through me, I stopped eating so fast and slowed down. After a little while I completely stopped and started to gather as much as I could carry. I needed to ration this so badly, it wasn't funny.
After discovering that it made me recover faster, it became even more important.
I packed my bag to the brim and walked back to the south reception. There was only one more section to go and it was getting harder and harder to see. I had to do it quickly.
After having cleared out the south section I had once again leveled. It happened a lot faster than I expected, but the regular infected did give out more exp.
Because I had for now resolved my energy issues, and I thought I had enough STR to spare, I decided to place all my points in AGI.
After placing them I felt my body move faster as I was walking, I looked at my updated status.

d.a.m.n 2560….
I just shook my head at the number and continued my way to the east reception. Hopefully the infected hadn't grown too powerful in this time.
When I reached the east reception, it was as I had feared. There were about 4 infected crowding around the area and they were all regular infected. It would just get worse with time.
I unsheathed my blade and made my way over. Having cleared out the other 3 sections, I had become a lot better at killing the regular infected.
It didn't take me too long to take them all down, but I would have to swap out my sword again. I quickly rummaged through my bag and picked up a globe containing a sword. After crus.h.i.+ng it and getting a new sword, I slowly looked at the sign post hanging above the reception.
*NEONATAL UNIT *
As I was looking at the sign for some reason, something seemed to be bothering me. I didn't know what it was but I couldn't take my eyes away from the sign.
Neonatal unit?
I suddenly thought back to something I was told once before.
s.h.i.+T!!!
My eyes reddened in rage, as I quickly dashed towards the east area, completely forgetting the sign.
I finally remembered what neonatal meant, and why it was important.
Neonatal meant babies.
And then I remembered what that d.a.m.n G.o.d had said.
No one under the age of 12 would be infected.
d.a.m.n! d.a.m.n!
The figure of my baby sister flashed through my head, as I bared my way in.
DON'T YOU TOUCH THEM!
DON'T YOU b.a.s.t.a.r.dS TOUCH THEM!!!!
