This Time You Are Mine 306 Desperate Man

The days pa.s.sed by in a flash and it's Friday night. As planned, Chrysthe picked her from the office as Sylvan needs to remain and work overnight. They pa.s.sed by Maddie's shop first to get the dress and suit for tomorrow's launch. 

The moment Yve arrived home; she opened the boxes containing their outfit for tomorrow. Maddie used her stacked couple designs and created a a Chinese themed outfits. Yve has black silk as it's cloth and an embroidered beautiful gold and red phoenix near the right edge of the dress. It's a three-fourth sleeved one with a Chinese collar. The cut hugs her upper body emphasizing her good figure and although it's above the knee, her mother-in-law really made sure it's not a s.e.xy and seductive one. 

Her husband's suit is also a magnificent one. It's is also in black and the coat is Chinese collared as well. To match her phoenix embroidery, a dragon is embedded on his coat's left chest. The color is red and gold. His necktie is striped with red and silver. 

"Wow! These are just too elegant." Yve exclaimed. 

"As expected of my mom. To show elegance and sophistication, she chose dragon for me and phoenix for you." Vince suddenly showed up.

"What do you mean?" Yve is confused on what Vince had just said.

"Dragon means leaders.h.i.+p, power and strength in Chinese while phoenix symbolizes high virtue and grace. This couple look that you asked of my mom is just perfect and will give them the perception of who we are." Vince explained.

"Oh, I see." Now, let me put this in the dressing room so you can sleep early. I will just take a bath and be right there before you know it." Yve was about to leave when Vince stopped her and asked.

"How about dinner?" 

"I ate with Mom tonight. We ate in the restaurant just below the hotel." Yve answered.

"That's good then." 

The couple slept the night away without worries which was the complete opposite of Steve and Jenny. Jenny was so worried after computing her past scores and Yve's scores from their past projects, a.s.signments and tests. 

"d.a.m.n it! Her total average is way higher than mine! I need to perfect the major exam and she mustn't just to ensure that I will get the top spot this semester." Jenny continued to look at her computed grades. 

She decided to focus more on her studies. She put her 'Do not disturb' sign and informed her nanny her mealtime schedule and have them delivered to her room. 

Her brother wasn't doing well internationally. The news of his failure reaches the country and his secretary called him informing of the doubts forming within the investors. He finally decided to talk to his board of directors and investors via video call. 

"What's happening, Mr. Steve? The newly acquired Hu0026E lost the face-off t SkyMu while news of you not winning the bidding had been roaming around in the country." 

"Can you give us an explanation behind all of these events." 

Left with no other choice, Steve told them the series of events and the things which may had caused their defeat. However, they were not satisfied with Steve's story. 

"You understand that everything sounded like excuses to us." 

Steve couldn't fight back because he clearly knew that they were right. After a few seconds of silence, Steve finally uttered his promise.

"Don't worry. I'm now working on the second project bidding. I'm doing some final checks." 

"Do you have confidence on winning the project?" One of the members of the board asked him.

"Yes, I do." Steve made a lie just to a.s.sure them. 

"We hope so or else the empire might crumble." 

Desperate to fulfill his promise, Steve ended the meeting and called someone. 

"I need you to do something for me. I want you to investigate this company and cause some problems for them." Steve commands the other person on the line. 

As Steve decides to follow the unethical means if it will bring success to his goal, dawn is about to end with the sun rising. Yve wakes up early this time and stares at Vince whose still sleeping. 

"My King, continue sleeping for now and let me cook our breakfast." Yve plants a short kiss on Vince's lips before heading to the kitchen. 

Vince opens his eyes when Yve is no longer in sight. He woke up when Yve kissed him on his lips. He likes how Yve is slowly getting aggressive with the skin s.h.i.+p. Even though, he was asleep the important thing is she's initiating the touches. He stands up and calls Team Bravo for an update. 

"How are things doing?" Vince asks them.

"Primo, we are on the second project but then we think he's planning to use underhanded means to sabotage us."

"Are you sure about that?"

"Not yet. But we're working on it as we speak. We heard that our partner names have prices for people who can cause us problems in any way." 

"That's a pretty wide scope." 

"Yes, Primo which is why we think that he might be the one funding the prices."

"I see. Investigate it and make sure all the facts align with the things that are happening. " Vince orders the group.

"Do we have the permission to shoot as needed?" 

"No as that will be too risky. If he survives he might investigate and discover the connection we have. On the other hand if he dies, I will still be the primary suspect since he's just new overseas. That will be too troublesome." Vince informs them of the reasons behind his decision.

"Roger that, Primo."

"Just inform me of any changes now. Steve might be desperate now and sometimes they do things uncharacteristic of them." 

"Yes, Sir." 

Hearing Team Bravo's confirmation, he hurriedly returns to bed. He's hopeful on how Yve will wake him. 

"Vince? Are you awake now?" Vince remains in his position and acts sleeping. 

Yve decides to take an action and kisses him on the forehead. Vince is trying his hardest to stop smiling. Seeing that her husband isn't moving still, Yve moves lower to kiss his nose. However, Vince isn't satisfied with it. He knows that Yve can still do something more. Scratching her head, Yve finally kisses him on the lips. She planned it to be a short one but the latter seems to have a different plan.
