This Time You Are Mine 325 Investor's Dinner 3

"Are you ready?" Vince asks her while looking straight in her eyes.

"I'm afraid I'll never be but I have to, right?" Yve squeezes their hands all together before releasing a deep sigh. 

The door to the private room is then opened and four people inside stand up to greet the couple.

"Good evening, Mr. Gray and it's finally nice to meet you Mrs. Gray." One of the two gentlemen in the group offers his hand for a handshake to which Vince and Yve accept.

"Your dress looks fas.h.i.+onably elegant, Mrs. Gray!" The lady beside the same man snakes one of her arms around her partner or so it seems.

Vince introduces each one of them to Yve and she's able to conclude that these people are indeed couples. Just after the greetings, waiters arrive with the soup on their trays. 

"It's time for dinner ladies and gentlemen. Let's take our seats." Vince encourages all of them to eat and they all start to sit down beside their partners respectively. 

In the middle of their first course, the other gentleman finally speaks up the main reason for their dinner.

"No offense, Mrs. Gray but we do believe that this dinner is about meeting the president of SkyMu." 

"Babe, Mr. Edward said that he will try. It wasn't really a promise and besides meeting Mrs. Gray is a very nice deal in exchange." His partner says so.

"No need to worry, my husband has clearly received the message and so that's why I'm here. I'm the new president of SkyMu." Yve answers in behalf of her husband. 

The news is really something unexpected for everyone else in the room as evident on the investors' faces. Vince has long expected their reactions but it seems that his wife didn't.

"Is there anything wrong with me being the new president?" Yve asks the investors as she tightens her grip on Vince's hand just beneath the table.

"Please don't take this in a negative way, Mrs. Gray. We just never thought it could be you." 

Yve gets more worried by the remark she keeps on hearing for the past few minutes.

"Babe, Mrs. Gray is getting scared with what you just said. Please make it clear enough." 

"I apologize, Mrs. Gray. I meant that I didn't expect you to be the president right now and have the achievements the company just received. It's really amazing considering that you never had an official business lesson prior to your enrollment to your current school." 

Yve finally smiles with relief.

The investors can't help but notice how Yve easily feels nervous so it wouldn't be good to directly proceed with their questions regarding SkyMu and her future plans for it. So even without words, the investors decided to exchange in casual conversations which Yve finds very comfortable. Then finally the dessert arrives and is being placed on their table. 

These delicacies are the ones Haru made in time for her wedding. Yve and Vince loved it so are the guests. So she's pretty sure that the investors would also like it. 

"This cake is very delicious and the chiffon is soft."

"For me it's the ice cream cake. Mr. and Mrs. Gray this is heaven." 

The couple smiles as they listen to the compliments of the investors for the desserts Haru made which Yve ordered earlier. 

"Those desserts were served during our wedding. My wife wanted you to try Haru's special menu during our important occasion but time prevented them from doing so." Vince informs their investors. 

"I was a bit too late at that, I'm sorry. But maybe next time, I can have you try out the entire course." Yve makes a promise to the investors. 

"That would be great! We'd love to, Mrs. Gray." 

"Please, I all know your first names and I would like it better if you'll call me by mine as well." 

"Understood." 

"Mrs. Gray, I mean Yve, I think now that we've eaten we can talk about your plans with SkyMu."

"We're not really asking for concrete details. We'll have that some other time maybe when we eat the special menu." The investors are opening the topic for discussion.

"Yes, of course." Yve nervously smiles once more. 

Then Yve lays out her plans for the company which includes expanding her artists' and idols' fan bases all over the world. She also convinces them that there is a time frame written if everything is going all as planned. 

"That's very promising, Yve." One of the ladies speaks after taking a sip from her after-dessert tea.

"But I want to ask you a question, if I may. Why didn't you look for investors to speed up your plans? Why go through Mr. Gray, here and let him set an appointment with us?" 

Vince is about to answer the question but Yve's hand under the stable stops him once more.

"First of all, I didn't know that Vince is planning to talk to you for my case nor for Stones Enterprises not until Edward mentioned you wanted to meet me in person. Second, as much as it's difficult to look for capital to send artists to bigger stage, it's much more difficult to stay there so I needed time to prepare my artists and to have them establish their name in this city and country." 

The investors are in awe on Yve's body language as she answers their question. For someone who's in the business at the same time as Vince, they have been taking lessons and are groomed to be ever since they can read and write. But Yve isn't like them. She is just learning yet her words and the way she carry herself at the right moment is totally amazing. 

"I see and these preparations are exactly the reason why we're drawn to meeting you." 

"Did you really just start studying business? Because if you do, then Mr. Gray not only SkyMu is in good hands but the entire Stones Enterprises. " 

Vince is there smiling with a very proud face that literally replies to the investors' comments, 'Of course. She's my wife.' 

With a mutual agreement unspoken within the people inside the room, they all end the dinner and go home with a very good relations.h.i.+p way beyond just business partners.h.i.+p.
