Alarmed, she pleaded, "Father, please let go of my husband."
Lena was really embarra.s.sed that they both lost control last night. She couldn't possibly tell her father that her husband's every touch made her beg for more. She had never felt so intoxicated with l.u.s.t before, she enjoyed the high and wanted to experience it over and over again which led to the current situation.
Exasperated, Mr. Hansberry paused for a second, "Are you so happy that you're married that you won't stop calling him your husband?!"
Biting her lower lip, she lowered her gaze.
Chamberlain thought of explaining himself, "Father, I just…" Realization struck him, what could he say? That he really thought of doing it with her once more or… He couldn't really explain himself even if he wanted to.
Frankly, his only companion for years had been his right hand. He finally had a taste of the forbidden fruit so he…
His wife was also pleading for more so he let go of every inhibition and acted as his instincts dictated.
Though he felt ashamed, he didn't regret his actions… perhaps he could learn to control himself.
Mr. Hansberry could not stand how they defended each other, it was an eyesore to him so he stormed out of the house. His daughter, his only child, could not understand he was trying to protect her. She chose her husband of just a few months over herself and their family. He thought Chamberlain was the best and he wanted to give his daughter the best but right now he wasn't so sure he made the right decision.
Following Mr. Hansberry, Chamberlain got up to check if he truly left. And to his satisfaction, he really did. Thus, he rushed back to his wife to embrace her and appreciate her for choosing him, for choosing their family.
Of course, immediately after he kissed her as he was not able to resist her lips before heading to the kitchen himself to get food.
He felt everything was perfect, even though his family might come cras.h.i.+ng down tomorrow.
He made a decision right there that she would always be his priority. Not his family but their little family. Just him and Lena.
…
"Is the wedding gift ready?" As usual, the King was seated with leisure. An evil grin was plastered on his face. He couldn't help but rejoice thinking about what is to come in the next few days.
"Yes, boss." His subordinate replied.
He wondered what Carl's reaction would be and what choice the Stans would make.
Perhaps, they might really let Carl take the fall. He intentionally alerted the FCB about the money laundering, setting their other crimes aside because he was curious to see if they'd let Carl off or just dump the crime on him. Carl is Chamberlain's first and only friend. Would he decide to betray his friend after mocking other aristocratic families for betrayal and backstabbing?
Besides, they were both acting like really good friends, were they not? Would Chamberlain choose to sacrifice Carl? Or would he go to prison? Although, his father would never allow him to sacrifice himself thereby staining the Stan name, all just for a disgraced aristocrat.
The King felt his life was not so boring after all. It was so exciting he thought of creating a poll in the base so that everyone could bet on who would be going to prison by the end of the drama.
…
"So, I told Ryan about our wedding, he said to thank you for the birthday gift and he also wished us a happy married life.
That reminds me, my birthday is…"
"Next month, I won't forget. I missed the first because I didn't know but this time around, I won't… it's the first as a married couple, I ought to make it really special."
The newly wedds were currently lying on the couch, cuddling while watching Netflix. Carl was only reminded about his brother because of a scene he saw in the movie.
Kim rubbed his hands, "How do you want to celebrate?"
Carl wasn't sure how to respond because the last time he celebrated his birthday was when his mother was alive.
He rubbed his cheeks against hers, "I have no idea, do as you see fit."
Kim turned around to look at him, she noticed, his mood was a little bit off. "Do you wanna talk about it?"
He smiled at her warmly, "There's nothing to talk about, it's just that it's been really long I celebrated. I mean, it's usually just Ryan… I tend to forget about it. But I would love to spend it with you and hope you're the first to wish me a happy birthday."
Kim pecked his lips, "I'll do just that."
Carl smiled at her while nodding his head.
She stared into his eyes and reaffirmed, "I love you."
Carl wasn't so surprised by her confession. Ever since she told him about her feelings and he took it as a joke, she had repeated her words more than a dozen times to make him understand she was really serious.
Rather than reply immediately, he chuckled then he kissed her deeply. Seeing her misty eyes and pouty lips he couldn't help but exclaim, "G.o.d! Do you realize how enticing you look?"
Kim blushed, trying to hide. His arms tightly wrapped around her waist only made it easier.
He tucked her hair behind her ears before rea.s.suring her, "Though I like hearing your confession, can you stop worrying too much? I believe you already. Since we're married, I have to trust whatever you say. Don't you think so?"
Still pouting, she replied, "I just feel it isn't enough to explain how I feel about you. Perhaps repeating it would suffice."
His head rolled back in laughter. 'Why is she so cute?'
Raising her head, she looked into his eyes. Her seriousness made him stop for a minute.
"I know I can trust you with my life, that's why I married you. Not just my life, my emotions too. And I also know telling you about my feelings is equally important, no more secrets, right?"
He nodded before capturing her tender lips again. After which he placed a kiss on her forehead. "I believe actions are equally as important as words too."
"Huh? You want me to do something?" She teased.
He knew exactly what she was implying. Clark chuckled and flicked her forehead, "You know what I'm trying to say."
She kissed his lips one more time, "I love you, Stallone."
