Well that's a nice reception. I was hoping for something slightly more... positive? Seriously these people have no respect for anyone. Thank goodness there are only three of them today. But I don't know what I expected, to the average person they don't need to since they have such power behind them. Then again, they should know how strong I am by now.

Clementine: I don't think soo... I'm stronger now, I don't think you can do anything.

Dabilosi: I used a secret technique to drastically raise her strength. Currently she can use up to tier 7 magic. Until she dies I cannot use this technique again.

Yvon: This sinner does not even deserve life, let alone an angel's great gift!

s.h.i.+zu: You will not decide who is worthy or not.

Maximillion: I think you misunderstand the situation. You, are our subordinate. As such, you answer to us. By extension, our decisions overrule yours. We say that she does not deserve it, so she does not. Now, as your superior I will ask- How did you find her so quickly? And also demand- Hand her over.

Dabilosi: You know, where I come from there is a saying - 'The idea of reasoning with terrorists without force or with appeas.e.m.e.nt is naive'. You, my friends, are no different from terrorists. Actually she's coming this way down the corridor as we speak, so going to get her isn't necessary. I look forward to this. The room shakes as the door is thrown open. I guess... Berenice, is going to make a show of force now. He isn't the cardinal of fire just because of his affinity after all.

Blades surrounding Zess.h.i.+ all clatter to the floor and disappear.

Dabilosi: Interesting. Let's take this outside. Clementine, s.h.i.+zu, stay here for a while. [Ma.s.s Teleportation]

Using that on just two targets might be a bit wasteful, but I'm confident my ability won't be impaired.

Dabilosi: So-

Just as I begin to speak, a scythe whirls towards my head and I have no time to think. I use [Reality Warp] to appear behind her, startling her for the briefest of moments. She then attempts to follow through with [Shark Cyclone]. With the 1.5 second cast time I use [Absorption] [Greater Magic s.h.i.+eld] and [Delay Teleportation] even while taking the Cyclone straight on. My problem is that I had no time to prepare and as such being a magic caster I am at a ma.s.sive disadvantage so spinning on one foot I use [Napalm] to blast away the only now appearing Zess.h.i.+ Zetsumei and open some s.p.a.ce between us. [Optimise] and [Lockdown] increase MP efficiency and cancel teleportation, but by this time she is already rus.h.i.+ng towards me again, this time boosting herself as she goes. I respect that, since giving me any time is a horrible move, but... She didn't strike. [Time Freeze] [Cast Down] [Judgement Day].

First of all, she is in the process of casting, so time freeze forces her for the next 20 seconds to have casting and movement speed decreased by 30%. Next, Cast down reduces the time needed by me to use my next magic by 75% once every 4 hours. Finally, the sky splits open and celestial voices are heard as an immense holy ray strikes the earth. Checkmate. Neither she nor I had time to use false data magic, so I could tell that she would barely survive my strike.

Better luck next time lady. You almost got me good... I only just realized I forgot to use [Quick Change]... I was fighting in my noob clothes. That WOULD explain why she was able to tank judgement day at only level 75 and why shark cyclone dealt 10% damage to me before my s.h.i.+elds went up.

I need cake. But more than that I need to work out how I'm going to deal with the unconscious wreck in the center of the crater. Jumping down I just grab her bodily and throw her onto my shoulder in a fireman carry and throw the scythe in my inventory because I can't have her stabbing me the moment she wakes up. [Gate].

Back in front of the cardinals I dump the inert body in front of them and prepare to explain myself. Side note - Raymond and the other two are back, so that could be interesting.

Raymond: What did you do? Is she dead?

Dabilosi: N-

Berenice: You had better explain yourself right now young man! Or don't blame me for being impolite!

Dabilosi: Screw your uncle too old geezer. I didn't kill her, she's just unconscious. I blasted her with a powerful magic so she's in a bad shape, but she'll recover.

Berenice: How dar-

Ginedine: ENOUGH! Berenice can't you see? He has demonstrated enough power to defeat Zess.h.i.+. Even if we all group together we are unlikely to beat him!

Berenice: He must have been severely weakened by the battle, if we attack now, while he's still recovering, we may still have a chance!

s.h.i.+zu: Unlikely.

Raymond: Stop, Berenice. Darnell if you would please return the scythe we would be grateful.

Albedo: [Message - Dabilosi] My Lord, we have reason to believe Shalltear has rebelled against us.

Dabilosi: [Message - Albedo] What, that's... No... She hasn't rebelled. It's a world item, and I know EXACTLY who did it... Where is she, and what. Are. The details, on her behaviour.

Albedo: [Message - Dabilosi] Just outside a small forest in the center north of the kingdom... She doesn't appear to be moving.

Dabilosi: [Message - Albedo] Do what you will. I will be there when she comes back.

Across the entire Slane Theocracy, an area larger than the kingdom and empire combined, the ground shook. The sky trembled and the oceans roared. Only the perfectly innocent were safe, as a ma.s.sive pressure forced all within to their knees, with the weakest of them even dying. The pressure lightened quickly, but many still took it as a divine tribulation, an ominous sign of things to come...

Dabilosi: When. Your Black Scripture unit returns. I am going to have... A word, with them.

Yvon: *Gasping for breath* Why? What have they done?

Dabilosi: What have they done?! Downfall of Castle and Country is a rather brilliant item is it not? You have made powerful enemies this day. Were she to merely go about her business, the Skeleton King may have slept for centuries longer. But with the true vampire accosted by humans... You can only hope he will not kill the humans he conquers.

Raymond: Is that a threat?

Dabilosi: Not in the slightest my friend... It's a fact. All you can do now is wait and see how he is going to go about it. If you would excuse me, here's your scythe back... Tell her not to try sliding it across my throat next time ok?

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] Upset my b.l.o.o.d.y as*hole I'm gonna kill a bi*ch. Ok now you can put it on loudspeaker your side.

Momonga: [Project Voice][Message - Dabilosi] I plan on killing Shalltear and then reviving her again to get more information on the culprits. I cannot in good conscience allow my friends children to kill each other.

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] Yeah, you're going to revive her alright. But you are not getting any information out of her, it was caused by the most elite group in the Slane Theocracy using Downfall of Castle and Country .

Momonga: [Message - Dabilosi] A world item?! Why didn't you report back! This is a groundbreaking discovery. Others have been here before us.

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] I thought it would be better to report back when I had no more guaranteed information, for instance the approximate military strength of the country... Their strongest is level 78. I did not believe Shalltear would go so far off course, much less enter a blood frenzy.

Momonga: [Message - Dabilosi] (He knew she was going out with just his few minutes in Nazarick? I wish I could be as well informed as him.) Very well. After I have defeated Shalltear I would like you to be there for the revival.

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] Think of a valid reason for me missing it.

Momonga: [Message - Dabilosi] Are you going to stay in the Slane Theocracy after this?

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] Stop pretending to give me a choice in the matter. I know why I need to stay. If that's it, I'm going to wait for the Black scripture and confiscate Downfall. Sad that won't release a partially controlled target. One last thing, could you tell Demiurge 'The beast is in heat'.

Momonga: [Cancel Projection][Message - Dabilosi] By the way, I bought a watch last year.

Dabilosi: [Message - Momonga] Oh really? Go check your water meter. [Cancel Projection]

Dabilosi: Alright, out. I need some rest. Clementine, you're on watch. Tell me when your brother gets back. s.h.i.+zu, you should get some rest as well. Working all the time leads to a bevy of problems.

Clementine: Okaay!

s.h.i.+zu: ...Very well Lord Dabilosi. But, I would like to ask you something.

Well this is unusual.

Dabilosi: Sure, what seems to be the problem?

s.h.i.+zu: What kind of women do you like?

Huh. That's... Something I guess.

Dabilosi: I've never really thought about it, since I have only very rarely been even vaguely interested in women. I guess if I had to say... Someone who does not let their shortcomings affect them, since that affects performance in every area and eventually turns them into an emotional wreck. A tad shorter, no idea why though. Finally, someone who can express themselves, because I want to be able to have a conversation with the person I am in a relations.h.i.+p with... Is that enough for now? I'd need to think about it for a while to get any more specific.
