Overlord - Of Sin And Sanctity 11 Chapter 11: Yet Another Nutter

(A.N: I would just like to say before I start that if you are going to leave a bad review, please take the time to properly detail where and how the problems with my novel exist so that I can, at the very least, improve my future performance. I'm doing this for practice writing anyways. I will not reply nicely to reviews where the only purpose is to discredit me.)

Quaiesse: Couldn't you get us any closer?!

Astrologer: I'm sorry, that was my limit, but if you run you can get her back in less than five minutes..

Captain: No time to argue, Turbulence, you come too, she needs to stay steady on that [Magic Board].

???: Oho? What seems to be happening here? I come out for one minute and I find the squad, sent out to do battle with the dragon, exhausted with three dead and a dying member. What are the odds!

Quaiesse: Eh? You're the new guy. If you don't mind, get the heck out of our way, we need to get lady Kaire back.

Dabilosi: No you don't. There isn't anything you can do for her, she is going to die.

Heaven: Whether it helps or not, we have to try.

[Barrier]

Don't push past me... I haven't finished talking yet. I don't often get to use [Barrier] as it isn't nearly as effective as [Absorption], but it will at the very least force them to talk to or fight me. I'm fine with either, as the former gives them a shot at explaining and saving that... person. The latter allows me to kill one or two of them justifiably. I prefer the idea of option 2 just at this moment.

Quaiesse: Move it! [Sacrificial-

Captain: Stop. If he's this persistent about it, he must have something important to say.

Your excuse had better be good.

Dabilosi: Yeh. Give up. Those wounds can't be healed by low tier magic, and what I call low tier differs vastly to you.

Quaiesse: So you're saying I should just watch the woman who helped make me who I am, die, and without even trying to do anything?!

Dabilosi: That sums it up, yes. By the way, Captain, how DID you encounter the strongest of vampires?

What will you do?

Captain: She just ran out of the woods, and, while we were startled, vampires are beings evil by their very nature, so we quickly took the initiative and spells were cast. However, the vampire seemed to notice how dangerous Lady Kaire was, and even though I blocked as much as I could, Lady Kaire was still struck down, half-casting her magic and locking the vampire in place. We took this opportunity to flee just in case it wore off.

So they did strike first. I didn't think Shalltear would willingly take on a group like this, even in her blood frenzy. On the other hand, she 'rushed' out, so it is her fault in part also, and on top of that the scripture has already taken ma.s.sive damage so...

Earth: Hold on. You said 'low tier' healing magic. That means you know of magic that can heal her. Is it possible for you to cast it?

Dabilosi: Obviously, I wouldn't bring it up otherwise, but it leaves me severely weakened for a time, so I wish for compensation after my actions.

???: Let us take her to the main healers first. We do not yet have confirmation that our best healing does not work. Chantel is not, after all, capable of performing the 7th tier [Cleanse Heal] of the palace.

7th tier? Too bad. One tier short.

At that point I just let them past. At this point she's going to bleed out unless I heal her immediately, but with Zarion, the third seat cosmic monolith giving his 'brilliant advice', that isn't happening. I just wonder if I can get Downfall after her death to prevent this from happening again...

I could just say she died. On the other hand, it's much more emotional if it is said in a different way. Let's go with 'our heroes rushed to the wards faster than they had ever run before, and yet softer than a feather-fall. The healers used the greatest and most powerful magic that they had, but alas, despite their best efforts, the valiant old hag pa.s.sed away in the arms of one of her most treasured students. She was somehow stripped of her garments at the moment of her death, but people continued to grieve their loss, rather than catch the thief currently chuckling maniacally a few buildings away.' Yeh. Much better.

Anyway, I kept Downfall on my person for the simple reason of not having anyone to give it to. Like this I have solidified my position in the Black Scripture through my offer to help, as there will definitely be some who agree that asking for compensation if I'm going to harm myself for someone I'm not familiar with is reasonable. I also managed to avenge Shalltear (sort of) and vent my anger. This has been productive.

Clementine: M-ohh, what did my brother do? Did he cryy? I wanted to see it... See him break down after that everything he did-

Dabilosi: Yes, he did cry, now shut up, you can't kill him right now. So... Where's s.h.i.+zu?

Clementine: She's outside. Last time I checked she was helping some kids learn some ball game. Personally I much prefer listeni-

Dabilosi: That! Should be far enough. Could you go get her? It's great that she's interacting with them, but we need to head back to Nazarick for Shalltear's rebirth. I swear, I'm gonna sleep for a week as soon as I get the chance.

If it's a preference of hers it's sick and twisted. Fact. As such, I will not even allow her to voice said preferences. I don't know the extent of her ridiculous depravity and I don't really want to.

It didn't take too long for s.h.i.+zu to get back, and once she had I asked her why she was helping the children and as it turns out she just wanted hugs from the cuter ones. Figures. After this I open the [Gate] ready to get back to Nazarick.

*Pa pa pa*

Oh, what is it THIS time?!

Dabilosi: Enter. But make it quick, I have another plan for today.

Zess.h.i.+: I just came over to congratulate you on your victory... And, of course... to pledge my body to you for you to use however you want...

Hmm. She's wearing black lingerie- and that's it. That is, and by that I mean... Sh*t. Another crazy one joined in. That sentence is blatant whoring, and while I am seriously turned on by her right now, s.h.i.+zu and Clementine are both in the room plus I literally just beat her up so I'm kind of scared of her stabbing me in my sleeping. What do I do...

Clementine: Mohh, that woould be great, but he's a scared virgin, and I'm going to be his first so-

Dabilosi: Not helping. Not even in the slightest. Zess.h.i.+, could you please explain why you're acting like this?

No matter what happens, Clementine will not help the cause. !!Shut Up!!.

Zess.h.i.+: No, but I will do anything you need to prove my devotion. You have caused me to suffer defeat, and I want to have a baby with the strongest person there is. Why is not important.

Dabilosi: Allow me to cast magic on you which will bind you permanently to me, unable to contradict my will, irrevocably limiting your freedom.

Now is when she decides that ANYTHING is an overstatement, and I get to chivvy her out.

Zess.h.i.+: Please! I will do anything for you as it is, and this will just make for us a perfect bond.

...I always get the nutcases. On one hand, this is brilliant, I can have a perfect trusted agent in the Slane Theocracy, but the way she seems to see it is ever so slightly worrying. First off we have Clementine obsessed with power, and now we have Zess.h.i.+ obsessed with, well, me. Are we sure there are powerful women in this world that don't have some OTT stereotype? Bound to somewhere.

Dabilosi: Alright then, [Soul Stealer].

As with Clementine, I felt a strong mental link between the two of us. Unlike Clementine, her appearance was affected... But only slightly. She grew a few centimeters, her complexion turned slightly more healthy, and her shadow disappeared. Not much to write home about.

Dabilosi: Right, so let's get the introductions out of the way. I am Dabilosi, currently acting as vice-guild master for Ainz Ooal Gown, a behemoth power structure far greater than the Slane theocracy. !!Tell me why you were so insistent on proving yourself to me!!

Zess.h.i.+: I will be stronger than my bast*rd father. But I don't want to stop there, my child will be even stronger, my child will come to no harm if it is also strong.

Dabilosi: Very well. I am required at the great tomb of Nazarick at this time. Zess.h.i.+, Clementine, !!Do not do anything uncouth or that could cause me disgrace!!
