Soon, Mike came out of the room.
Unspoken stillness slashed through the air as they thew glances at each other, taking guesses about what had happened?
Mike looked in pain with his legs failing him. Meanwhile, Bridgette had her face marked by Giselle's hard slaps.
They knew right away that their plan had failed.
...
Bridgette targeted him immediately to confess what happened inside. After learning the entire story of how pretty much Mike only kissed Giselle and before anything can happen, Giselle kicked him in his nuts and escaped.
Learning about their entire plan, which overall bombed from having the perfect revenge on Giselle, made the blond girl broke in anger.
"You're still here?" Mike questioned.
Bridgette turned to face the guy who should have played a prominent role in this revenge plan, but somehow it appeared that Mike suffered a loss at his end.
"I'm still here to see your messed up a.s.s," Bridgette mocked.
"Go away, Bridgette." Mike jaded; he reached over to the wall to support his body while resting.
"I asked you to do a job. It was to help you get the girl of your sick dream. I did sort out a way for you to have her and guess what?"
Mike looked defeated.
"Oh, you don't know what happened after she kicked you in your b.a.l.l.s; that b.i.t.c.h slapped me."
Mike's jaw dropped.
Not only Giselle had injured Mike, but Bridgette too. Feeling impressive of the girl he held feelings, Mike couldn't help but reveal a bitter smile.
...
"This is all your fault. We shouldn't have done this."
Mike trembled as he spoke.
"Are you in a place to advice me, Mike?" Bridgette outraged through the trouble.
"Well, it was your dumb idea in the first place; You told me to take advantage of her and look at us right now!"
It is only then Mike worried about the consequences. With the help of Bridgette, Mike had s.e.xually a.s.saulted a girl. The sound of the thought hit him under the grills as he got terrified of being exposed as a rapist all over the school.
"We're screwed."
Mike raged in the panic of Giselle responding to this entire incident.
Bridgette noticed Mike's anxiety.
She sighed heavily.
"We won't be, Mike. Stop being such a baby, if you had done her good, then none of this would have happened."
"Shut up, Bridgette."
"How do you know that even after a.s.saulting her that she would stay silent?"
"I'm an idiot to believe in your words."
Mike raised his voice. His eyes glared at Bridgette profoundly.
"You have no idea how this will put my life at if she reports it to the officials, do you?"
"I'm the one who violated her. If anyone's going to get affected, it would be me. n.o.body's going to believe if you had a partake in this or not."
Mike lowered.
"Who knows, you must have already used your money to save your filthy a.s.s, didn't you?"
Mike's tone threatened the blond girl. Bridgette conceded to every single word he had uttered. She knew for a fact that Mike is the one to get affected by this whole incident. That was her plan initially. But, ever since Giselle's response to her before, made Bridgette go insane.
"Chill out, Mike. Nothing happened in the end. She escaped, right?"
"We won't get caught, and you will not be affected by all of this."
Bridgette convinced the guy.
"What?"
"Are you kidding me right now, Bridgette?"
Mike was seething. He can't digest how calm Bridgette's been taking the entire situation. The a.s.sault that happened inside sent shockwaves to Mike as he feared himself over his behavior. Hadn't it been for Bridgette's influencing, Mike would have handled the situation in another way; calm and settled. All of the hit him in his guts as he felt knots in his stomach. Mike hated the way he acted with Giselle in such manner and expected to be calm about it.
"Listen, Bridgette."
"I'm done with you and your nonsense. I can handle this myself. I'm ready to face whatever happens in the future. It was primarily my fault to join hands with you. I was stupid, even to consider you as a friend."
"You know what?"
Mike paused as he resumed his stance to exit the place.
"You deserve those slaps because you're f.u.c.king twisted in here,"
Mike said, pointing at his brains.
"You're a lunatic who took advantage of my feelings for her and turned me into this monster. I wish that I never did this, but I did it. It's entirely my fault to a.s.sault a girl, and that too on her birthday. I'm such a despicable being."
Mike's pledge was emotional as the guy realized the things he had done to a pure girl who doesn't deserve any of those.
"Enough, Bridgette."
"Enough."
"I'm done. And I don't care if my feelings get hurt because I deserve it. I'm leaving. Do what you wis.h.!.+"
Mike said as he walked away. A few steps later, he paused and turned to face Bridgette.
"What do you even know about feelings and emotions? You, and your friends, all you do is to humiliate people and play with their hearts. You deserve to be hated forever, Bridgette."
Mike stated and then left.
Bridgette, who kept quiet throughout the whole confrontation looked stumped, as she got served by those statements. Bridgette felt exposed and overwhelmed.
Just then, she received a message followed by a call from her friend Ivy.
Bridgette didn't answer but stood alone as kept staring at her mobile.
…
…
The lunch hour is about to end within the next ten minutes. Students were chattering and seen playing around. Lillian Grey and her friends finished eating and were about to leave the cafeteria. It is then that Lillian noticed the gossip girls missing a soul, the blondie Bridgette.
'She's not here too,' – Lillian searched for Giselle.
Deep down, Lillian wished to see her. The unspoken care for the girl kept Lillian's head busy. It is the first time something like this has happened. Lillian Grey's only explanation for these emotions was the fact that Giselle had sort of reason to follow those gossip girls suddenly. Lillian had confirmed a few days prior about Giselle being the victim and not another member of the gossip gang. Right away, she wanted to help the poor girl but, unfortunately, Giselle isn't someone she acquainted with for a long time. Hence, Lillian cannot act to her will and waited for Giselle, herself to reach out for help if needed.
…
"Where is she?" Carmel asked Ivy about Bridgette.
Bridgette skipped the entire lunch hour and never seen anywhere. Her friends initially thought that she's occupied with work, but it is not the case.
"How the h.e.l.l I'm supposed to know?" Ivy roared, partly worried about her friend.
"Because she informs you even if she goes to the toilet. She's closer to you than to us."
Ivy stayed quiet, unable to fight back as it were facts. Ivy knew everything about Bridgette and vice versa. Instead of waiting for her friend, Ivy decides to do the job of finding Bridgette herself. She left after informing her friends.
Sara and Carmel headed downstairs to their cla.s.s. While on their journey, Carmel excused herself from Sara, letting her go ahead.
"Why?" Sara asked.
"I have something to take care, Sara. I'll be back in a few minutes. It's not that big of a deal."
Sara agreed. She went ahead leaving Carmel back. When the area got cleared Carmel moved, she reached the cafeteria which is looking almost empty with only a few people left. Carmel noticed Lillian, and her friends still hanging around. It appears like they were in the middle of a bet with Diego and Lillian competing in arm wrestling. Carmel ignored waiting for the one, who had summoned her.
"You're late," Carmel said after noticing the person.
"I know. I had to inform the team's practice timings for the upcoming match. Sorry," Josh Ryder spoke.
